A TA’er found the following information:
“New Moon”, Summit Entertainment’s sequel to the highly successful feature film “Twilight”, is currently in pre-production and casting directors are now accepting photos and resumes from talent. Filming begins in March, 2009. Open casting calls will be posted here also, as soon as dates and locations are released.Details here

OMG i love twilight and im the first to comment WOW also…..I had no clue they where making New Moon that is so cool.
I love twilight with a passion! I want to be in New moon i hope it’s not a scam. If it is I’ll be really mad. Plus it can put people in danger but i say it is worth a shot!
I believe that this is a scam only because I know of the Casting Agency that was used for Twilight and have come across news that insinuates they will be doing the casting for New Moon as well.
The Casting Agencies listed are not, nor are affiliated with the Casting Agency that was used for Twilight
if this is real, then that means Catherine Hardwicke is gonna direct, i really hope it’s true!
Dawn, I have to say I’ll be right with you on the laughing if it is a scam. I hope it’s not for the sake of the number of people that will probably send in head shots and resumes.
Jeannine, who are the casting agencies then? the casting agency listed there is a real one, so it could be possible that they’re using another one. you just seem knowledgeable so i was wondering if you knew anything…
the only problem i have with all of this is that they will start filming so late in the year! nobody wanted to wait so long for twilight and now they are going to make us wait again. and march is only when they will start. think about when they will finish. i dont wanna wait that long =( lolz

Waiting later in the year may have a lot to do with the weather conditions they were fighting making Twilight. Filming Summer/Fall will give them better weather to work with, although they are going to have to contend with more sun depending on when the exact shooting schedule is. Oregon does have about a month or so when they have pleasant weather (according to a friend that lives there), and it was very nice when I visited in August.

Okay, I’m not sure if this is a scam or not, but you got to take chances, i’ve been wanting to audition for the role of Jane since Twilight was made. I’m going to send them my resume and see what happens. You’ll never know what life offers unless you take advantage.

as it says on the site, all the information was taken down for a reason.
Hundreds of people kept calling directly in instead of sending in their headshots/resumes.
Calling them directly is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL, and just proves you’re inexperienced. It just wastes their time. That’s not the type of people they want. They haven’t even started casting yet.
That info only even went up today/yesterday (dependent on your time zone).
Filming doesn’t even start ’til March ‘09. So chill. They’re not going to hide the casting from people.
Well, I’d hope they wouldn’t. Lots of people are looking forward to it.
I’m sure as soon as the casting date is even whispered, it’ll be plastered everywhere online. =)
Just keep your eyes peeled guys.

I think they will film in Vancouver, BC… for the scenes that is supposed to be Forks.. Italy for the Volturi… I heard that some casting directors do not get actors independently they usually rely on the agents they have trusted before… Also Be careful on going for auditions make sure bring someone with you.. You may never know.. ALL I KNOWthere is no Open casting yet posted. But keep looking… The open casting calls usually take place on the location they are shooting… My Source told me not to mail any resume or headshots to the Studio (summit) it will end up in the garbage… Nothing wrong with sending resumes and headshots to the casting directors… they will just get overwhelmed with Thousands, just pray that you’ll capture their eyes…Take chances so you won’t regret…GOOD LUCK TO all of US
You know, you really shouldn’t post this for everyone to see. The reason they took down the address was because so many preteens where calling the agency. Posting it for all these teens to see was a bad idea, us real actors who take our job seriously are now short an opportunity because teenage girls are unprofessional and want to meet ‘the Cullens’

I hope the casting is gunna be in oregon again! Cuz last year my school put out a thing saying where it was and what time and stuff. But I was in 7th grade looked rather young. But alot changes in a year, so I wanna audition damnit!
In watching the first movie about a dozen times now, and after reading the books, I have become a fan.. I think that when it comes to talks of re-casting Jacob Black. I am not a big fan of Taylor Lautner; however, I think it would be rather (for lack of a better word) crappy if they had someone new occupy the role. As well, I have a major concern that Lautner nor Copon is actually Native American. It is a sad, and nearly offensive action that in this day and age, Native American people are still being portrayed by anyone with brown or lightly tanned skin. As being a person of this ethnic group, I find it disturbing that we have not progressed since the time of the old western movies where to portray “Indians”, caucasian actors had their faces painted brown!! In my opinion, Stephenie Meyer had written the Twilight Books, in a very specific form, whereas; Native American people who come from a reservation were included in the story. I became more of a fan of the way she had been very detailed about the Native American group as well, it was done in a very respectful way. Kudos to Stephenie for that. But I really do hope that the casting of the movie will be done more accurately in order to portray Native American people in a respectful way. Thank you!

OK so people think hey i can get a audition but its harder than you think, getting them to notice you is hard, i live in Australia and there aren’t that many acting opportunity so if i even want to get into acting I’m screwed unless i moved to America and i think 16 is a little young for that but hey my dream has gone down the drain because of where i live so every please shut up and get over yourself.
tbh I think that if it is real, it is the most amazing chance. Although some people may only do it to meet the ‘cullens’ most people aren’t just doing it for that, they actually appreciate the chance. I am one of those people who would love to be in it and would send of a resume if there was the address >:(. It is too much of a chance to ignore, and although cos I live in england it is really unlikely they will ever cast me, I will try, and I think even people in australia should try. But I wish they would have auditions in london aswell

I believe it is real. I looked up the studio, it is in fact, real. It you notice it says, DO NOT CALL. And that the company’s are not posting any numbers, so i don’t know where the hell you’re getting them from. And plus who would go throught all the time to update a site everyday, go through thousands of resumes and waste their time and other’s just for some pointless scam? Look up the studios people, THEY ARE REAL.

I called Aquilla/Wood Casting a while back, and they are NOT casting New Moon. Called Summit the other day. They haven’t finalized anything as far as casting directors go, but they told me to call back next week. If I’m allowed, I’ll come back here and tell what’s going on.

it is becoming clear to me and my twilighter friends that they will not be returning to Forks washington to film but choosing somewhere cheaper like Vancouver BC. It is upsetting to us Washington and Oregon residents. It is our belief that Ms Hardwick would have never abandoned the true story and left Forks. It is upsetting and truly disappointing to us Northwest residents ans major Twilighters.Anyone check out the CD Secondhand serende and tell me would it not be perfect in New Moon!I welcome other northwesterners thought on this. I was really hoping to hear back from some fans here in Oregon and Washington state and there reactions to filming taking place outside Forks, Port angles and etc. I love the books and am a twilight mom as well as many of my friends and am nervous about the new director and him being forced to push out the movies for Summit. Everything I read says how upset Kristen and Rob are about it and how much they enjoyed working with Ms. Hardwick and her take on the books. Location was everything to her. Plus I missed out watchimg the filming last time they were here. I hear from friends that Rob was very sweet. Portland Oregon wants you to come back!!!

They just held audtitions in B.C. for Aboriginals for La Push. I had an oppurtunity to audtion, though their standards were high. I heard they already casted 2 boys, and 2 girls for the main parts. They didn’t realease what parts they were. All I know is, they’re still looking for Harry Clearwater. They went to a lot of major cities in B.C., and I haven’t heard if they are going anywhere else in Canada. I’ll try to find out.

I like the Twilight books, although they are clearly ‘first book efforts’. What I HATE about Twilight, is the millions of stupid, idiotic little fans who can’t spell, possess no intelligence and can see no further in life beyond their own obsessions. These books are fun, but they’re not actually very well written - anyone with a good knowledge of literature can tell you that. And I hate to break it to you, but Bella and Edward have a very sick relationship - anyone who tried to model reality on this enjoyable but unrealistic romance would end up being very messed up.
I live about 20 min away from where they shot many of the scenes for twilight.
I really just want to be an extra so I can be apart of the experiance!!

I watch twilight everyday because is is soooo good and my room is in the middle of the beinning decorated and he theme is based on twilight and the sequals. wired lol. all my walls are covered in posters of mainly edward cullen bu basicly of all the four twilight film.
I really wish i could jst see robbertin in real life for even a second. or even jacob (his fit)lol. wow people call me obsessive but i actually am lol.!!!
