TA Staff member Erica gives you chapter 18 of Twilight

Chapter eighteen – THE HUNT by Erica:

The family baseball game is suddenly interrupted as Alice announces the arrival of the nomads. Laurent, Victoria and James enter the clearing baring blood red irises. They exchange pleasantries about hunting, the Cullens’ permanent residence in Forks and the baseball game. When the wind blows Bella’s hair, James realizes that she is human and immediately sets his eyes on her. Edward guards her protectively and James senses their bond. Carlisle attempts to diffuse the situation but after a few verbal spats, Edward, Bella, Alice and Emmett leave together.

Edward can see that James is a tracker and will stop at nothing to get Bella. He wants to take Bella away from Forks immediately but Bella insists that they ensure Charlie’s safety. During the drive, there is a heated discussion with a furious Edward; finally, Bella, Alice and Emmett convince him that a plan to head home to Phoenix might deter James. Alice offers to take Bella with her and Jasper so that Edward can stay in Forks to track and destroy the nomads.

Carlisle Cullen: “She’s with us.” Chapter 18, pg, 379

Emmett Cullen: “She’s diabolical.” Chapter 18, pg 387

Edward Cullen: “I saw his mind. Tracking is his passion, his obsession — and he wants her, Alice — her, specifically. He begins the hunt tonight.” Chapter 18, pg. 382

Edward Cullen: “Bella, if you let anything happen to yourself – anything at all — I’m holding you personally responsible. Do you understand this?” Chapter 18, pg 388
