ACCESS HOLLYWOOD: BEHIND THE SCENES OF 'NEW MOON'

ACCESS HOLLYWOOD: BEHIND THE SCENES OF ‘NEW MOON’

Access Hollywood has a great, exclusive new behind-the-scenes video of the New Moon film. In the video, we get a look at the werewolf transformation, Taylor Lautner tells us why New Moon will exceed Twilight, and Kristen Stewart applauds Taylor’s dedication to the film.

SOURCE.

(Thanks Rachel)

Great video! I always enjoy looking at the behind-the-scenes stuff, and especially on such a crucial scene. I also really enjoyed the interviews because Kristen and Taylor are both so sweet and always have something really great to say about the film or one another.

What did you think of this video? Are you happy with how the werewolf transformation turned out?

i loved d wolf transformation but i think it could be just a slight . . .just a slight…more realistic. i also found this cool song and i think it should be in d movie. I probably should have posted it on another part of the website but I couldnt figure out where. Its called is it true by johanna.

I loved this video and the way Kristen talked about Taylor. I wish she would have finished her sentence, “I would do anything for him”. We know what she would’ve meant. So sweet.

I loved the tranformation but the wolf was too tame. Not what my imagination conjures up when I read. He needs to be much more wild and vicious. He also needs to be much bigger and more menacing. He looked like you could take a stick to him and get him away. I hope they tweak this or it will be disappointing. They’ll have the darned time to tweak it and I hope they do.

Just goes to show how perfect the casting was in this movie. Rob, Kristen and Taylor are so much like their characters! Rob is gorgeous & amazing & sweet but doesn’t think that about himself at all - which is totally Edward…..Taylor is confident, principled, outgoing and extremely like-able - totally Jacob…..and oh Kristen! She is unique, a little awkward (which I find endearing), kind of shy but yet comfortable in her own skin, just not comfortable around tons of people which alot of us can so relate to, she’s a natural down to earth beauty - The perfect Bella. Absolute perfect casting.

I did love the wolf transformation. It could be a slight more realistic and bulkier, but even if it stays that way it was done well. It was exactly like the book as far as the “exploding” into the wolf. Loved that quick transformation. Awesome. Its gonna be a great movie.

  4. kerri responded:

I agree Chris. I pictured the wolf to be HUGE, like a horse. And much more vicious looking. Maybe it was just because we didnt see Laraunt or Bella next to him, like our perspective might be off.

I thought Jake looked too…tamed. I hope the wolf doesnt look so cartoonish in the movies. If they show more of the pack, maybe we’ll understand whats floating around in the directors mind.

I wonder why their keeping the pack under such tight wraps. It’s killing me. I want to see pictures so badly!

  5. Marianne responded:

I watched the Golden Compass(written & directed by CW) again on Sunday morning so I could compare the wolf transformation to the huge polar bears they had in that movie. They are so realistic looking and when they fought it was quite good. I know a bear is some what more cuddily looking but they did do a good job with the cgi. So I was expecting this HUGE, dark reddish browm, long legged, thick bodied, big black eyed wolf. Well, it was okay but it was more dog like looking and I wasn’t fond of the two toned color of the fur. If Summit is reading this …..you have some tweeking to do.

  6. Chris responded:

    Marianne:

Absolutely - I wanted to see a “Russet” wolf. The two-toned didn’t work for me either. Also, the wolves are supposed to be door sized according to the book - but like Kerri said, we didn’t get to see the wolf next to anyone. So perhaps the size part IS perspective.

Jacob exploding out of his clothes with cloth flying was pretty cool. It really needs to be much more menacing though. His paws, when he’s in the air look like little fluffy dog feet that you’d want to squeeze instead of a terrifying werewolf, scuse me - shape shifter.

Kerri: They ARE keeping it under wraps. When you mentioned that I got so excited thinking about that fact. Oh what are they up to?

Come November we’re all doomed. =)

Very nice interviews-not long enough. They are both very sweet and I think Taylor will wow us all. So agree with Lainie88-”Absolute perfect casting.” I will be foever grateful to Catherine Hardwicke for that. I really liked the wolf transformation-you can tell though that that is not the finished scene. After seeing this trailer, I have no doubt that New Moon is gonna ROCK and all the naysayers, if there’s any left after this trailer aired, will be won over.

  8. Marianne responded:

Kerri & Chris, I was thinking that maybe they only had Jacob’s wolf done, for the trailer. They may still be working on the others, I can imagine they would take along time to do.I know there are a lot of websites and the entertainment channels that have been commenting on the wolf transformation. So Summit should be getting feed back by all of these comments. I agree that the paws look like puffy puppy paws.

  9. Twilight Mom Australia responded:

Lainie88, I totally agree with you, re, the characters they are spot on.
I actually like the wolf transformation, the growl and the look on the wolfs face would scare the crap out of me if it came towards me teeth barred, that’s for sure, I have to remind myself that, this was just a trailer they have not finished with the wolfs yet, so add to that the music, they might even change the color of the eyes, so I don’t think this is the finished product, a quick teaser due to popular demand…

  10. Irishtwilighter responded:

I so agree with Lainey88 about the casting. It was nice to see how Rob acknowledged Catherine at the mtv awards show for casting him.

Twilight Mom Australia…did I read somewhere that they are using the actual eyes of the guys playing the wolf pack in the wolves through CGI?

  11. Chris responded:

I agree that this is not the finished product. Perhaps as they were putting this clip together “for the fans” - according to Rob at the movie awards - they did compile it quickly knowing we’d take whatever they gave us (THANK YOU!).

Taylor mentioned in an interview that the first scene showing him bare chested was his “last scene” and even he was confused by the order of events. You can see the interview on MTV. It’s two part and only a total of about 2 minutes but he tells more than I thought they would let him. He doesn’t really give much away but - kind of.

If you’re interested and can’t find the two clips let me know. =)

  12. shonla responded:

Well said Lainie88! I think the cast is perfect! I loved hearing Kristen talk about Taylor! I’m so happy that he is Jacob! I can’t wait for NM!
