ACCESS HOLLYWOOD: RACHELLE LEFEVRE SPILLS ‘NEW MOON’ SECRETS
Rachelle Lefevre, who plays Victoria in ‘Twilight’, recently spoke with Access Hollywood about some of the rumors going around about the upcoming film, what prep-work she’s already begun, and more:
Rachel Lefevre is not a big Hollywood star yet. In fact, the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards are her first awards show ever. And she told Access Hollywood’s Dish of Salt, Laura Saltman, that she adheres closely to a piece of advice that she once heard from George Clooney; “Never go to an awards show, unless you’re invited.”Rachel has heard all of the “New Moon” rumors that we’ve all heard – about Dakota Fanning, AnnaLynne McCord, Vanessa Hudgens and Madonna. And about the Madonna rumor she says, “I’ve heard that one too. And if I saw her, I’d march right up to her and shake her and say, ‘We’re in the same project!’”
As for “High School Musical’s” Vanessa, Rachel says that the cast hardly knows anything about all of “the rumors,” but that she heard Vanessa Hudgens was, “in… then out… and now maybe back in again.”
Rachel is excited for the third installment of “The Twilight Saga” because there’s a huge fight scene for her in it.
Moreover, she says that she just started training for the wire work stunts in “New Moon.”
She also tells Access that she is doing a special new workout training program, only available in Hollywood, called “GST.”
So look for a buffed up Rachel in “New Moon”!
I’m so excited to hear that Rachelle is already doing wirework to prepare for ‘New Moon’. I’m very much looking forward to the movie, of course, and this makes me even more anxious to see some of the stunts they’ll do.

Wait, if she is doing stunt work, then that means they arent going to do it from Bella’s point of view, because Bella only sees Victoria once in New Moon, when she is in the ocean and Jacob is pulling her out, and thats just her hair on the water, that she thinks is fire for a min.

However, as much as I love Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria she wasn’t actually in the book so much so I don’t know how she is going to be built into the story other than just showing us glimpses of her trying to get to Bella and of course in the cliff scene. I hope they don’t sway to far from what happens in the book. But… it is the same writer as Twilight so I have a good feeling it will be a good adaptation. !!!!!
your right. they must be having victoria from a view other than bellas, basically adding stuff that isn’t in the book. frankly, she was not in the book much and i hope she isn’t in the movie much—i would rather the time be spent on supporting characters that actually had more important roles in the book, like Alice—rather than Victoria. it would be fine if this was a mini-series, but come on the book gives alot to cover in 2 hours–without inventing story for minor characters.
I kind of want Dakota in New Moon… maybe AnnaLynne… but please no Vanessa or Madonna.
I think she is a perfect Victoria too. But it does sound as if they are adding action that wasn’t in the book. Boo Hiss on that.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that none of the notables that were mentioned in this interview are actually in the movie.
I thought Rachelle looked the part in Twilight except for the fur cape. I know that wasn’t up to her, they wear whatever costumes they are told to wear. But, for crying out loud, these are vampires! And nomads at that. They don’t get cold!! They don’t need extra clothing. Will someone in the decision making department pay attention!!
as much as I loved Lefevre as Victoria, what is she doing getting ready for the movie. In New Moon there is all this talk about Victoria looking for Bella, but I don’t remember Victoria ever having her own scene. Maybe it will just be for the ocean part with her hair…
Wow. I wonder what she’s doing wire work for. In the book, the only time Victoria is “seen” is when her hair is in the water after Bella jumps, right? I guess they’ll add her in like they did the evil vampires in Twilight to make the story flow better. Cool! I’m excited!
Maybe they ARE filming Eclipse in very close proximity with New Moon..??? It would only make sense…! I’m not trying to speculate or get anyone’s hopes up for anything but it would just make sense.
Everyone’s right about Victoria being a “distant” character in New Moon, but she’s definitely a prominent character in Eclipse! That’s why I suggest the possible sequential filming tactics.
As for their wardrobe, remember… they are roaming the Pacific Northwest and if Victoria went bee-bopping around in a bikini, she’d look a mighty bit suspicious! Don’t you think?
As for rumors, I’m trying to wave them all off at this point… so much has been said, added, taken away then added back…. I think they are just trying to derail those of us who are trying to keep close tabs. It’s almost exhausting trying to keep up! And, it doesn’t mean I won’t keep trying either!!!
I’m excited to see whats in store for Victoria in New Moon. In the book they really only elude to Victoria being around and out to get revenge for James. It isn’t until Eclipse that we even see her with the emergence of the newborns.

Although it takes off from the book, perhaps they will show Victoria actually trying to get to Bella. In the book, S.M. did not go into similar to in Twilight she did not go into how the nomads were killing people but that would have happened right? Given that Jacob is out protecting Bella from Victoria, maybe we’ll see some of the “made up” action sequences that “could” have occurred without Bella’s knowledge… Might be interesting. As long as they stay true to the book and not indulge too much it’ll be good.
I agree Victoria shouldn’t be in a bikini. I just meant that she or none of the vampires, no matter which one, should be dressed with extra clothing. Time and again Edward mentioned that the cold only affected Bella because she was human. If you remember in the baseball scene, all of three of the nomads were barefoot. And, wore worn hiker type clothes. So, I just meant a fur cape, and a clean one at that was way off the mark.
Adding more scenes that include Victoria in the film, New Moon, would either:
-make it look really cool if there are only slight glimpses of her (building tension etc. conveying Bella’s almost constant fear of being left at the mercy of bad vampires)
-make it bad…simply.
PS. What about Hilary Duff, no one’s mentioning her anymore…?

… i have to agree with courts…..i love Rachelle Lefevre…she was..Victoria….i am confused by all of the information that is out there on who is in for new moon and who is not….where it is filming and where it is not…guess we will have the answers to all of the questions on 11-20-09…. ;o)
I think they are mistaking the fight scene from Eclipse because I thought that she was only seen once like most of us are commenting about I’m guessing it’s just a little mistake but I hope they dont include this in new moon because if they do then it will be the WRONG BOOK.

I hope that does mean they will be filming NM and Eclipse back to back! But I think there definitely are some parts about Victoria that could be put in there, and I trust they won’t get too off of the story to add in minor characters (for this movie, anyways. For Eclipse, not so much).

I can’t wait until New Moon!
Guys, Twilight wasn’t in Bella’s POV - at least, not completely! Remember at the parts when they shown the Nomads killing on 3 different occasions when - obviously - Bella wasn’t there. So why is everyone sounding surprised because it sounds like there is going to be more of Victoria in New Moon than in the book. I imagine it will show Victoria about to kill someone and then the werewolves racing to stop Victoria… and then the werewolves being too late. Although everyone wants to keep the movie EXACTLY the same as the books, and only film things that happened to Bella in the book - directly quoted of course, but that wouldn’t work. I really think New Moon is going to shape up to be really amazing and I think putting a little scene where Victoria is killing someone and the werewolves trying to stop her, would be really good. Keeps the suspense up, very much like they did in Twilight. Not only that but the filmmakers probably don’t want to have nine-tenths of the movie, Bella being depressed.
OME, this movie is going to make me cry. And I have never cried at a movie in my life but I can almost guarentee it I will cry if they do it properly! Heck, I’ll probably cry even if they don’t do it right but I think they are going to do it amazingly, even if Catherine Hardwicke is gone.

Clearly they are going to be showing more of the Wolves then we get in the books because Jacob and crew have lots of run ins with Victoria. Remember, Charlie mentions constant sitings of the ‘bears’, so much so that Bella at first things that Jacob and crew are killing the missing hikers.
Maybe they are planning a scene of Laurent and her plotting to get Bella. That wouldn’t be TOO far off from the book. Seeing as the scene with Laurent finding Bella in the clearing he mentions about Victoria looking for her and sent him or whatever.
Could be interesting to at least slid that in.

That is kool she really does fit the part for victoria i am glad they chose her. It shows something when they do their own stunts as well.

It is probably similar to what they did in Twilight, where they showed James, Victoria and Laurent on the hunt, when in the book obviously Bella didn’t know about it. Twilight the movie wasn’t fully from Bella’s perspective. I don’t think New Moon as a movie could work as well if they didn’t have more of Victoria in it. Maybe they will show the wolves hunting her? Who knows. I can’t wait to see what Chris does with it. If the story stays true to the book with the main ideas, I don’t mind some variation.
It’s always the big studios…have to get involved and flex their muscles…sheesh! Hence the reason for so many independent films!!! The success of Stephanie’s books and the movies thus far have all been because of fan devotion. Do they REALLY doubt us so much that we’d think it’s o.k. to replace Rachel???!!! They are soooo lame if they think true fans will just say “yeah, sure - ok”….NOT!!!!
