ASK ALICE: EDWARD AND BELLA’S WEDDING ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL PART 1: BELLA’S WEDDING GOWN

The time has come for Edward and Bella’s one year wedding anniversary!! Who would’ve thought they’d last this long, right? KIDDING!! So in light of our favorite couple’s celebration of their union, Em and I will be bringing you a series of compilations for Edward and Bella’s wedding for the next couple of weeks. This week we’re kicking it off with Bella’s wedding gown and what we think it looked like in Breaking Dawn and possibly pitch ideas for the movie.

So in the book, Bella always thought of her ideal wedding dress being similar to an Anne of Green Gables design:

Alice had Bella’s gown custom made to fit her tastes while still keeping in mind that it’s the 21st century that they’re/we’re living in. It’s clear that Bella wouldn’t be the kind of girl that would want something that looked more like a ball gown, go completely strapless and exposed her back. She’s want gown that looks as simple as possible while still staying chic (mandatory by Alice). Sleeves would be a must, and something a little bit form fitting so she can feel like it’s just a normal floor-length dress.

    Actually, Bella and Edward were married in 2006. So it’s really their 3rd anniversary. :-)

    I love the idea of an old fashioned dress. I get so tired of the constant strapless/ballgown cookie cutter dresses. I think a dress with some sort of sleeve, slightly higher neck, more romantic look is EXACTLY the right kind of dress for them. Their love is timeless!

    I think the first dress looks good but I see Bella in another dress if you want to see it go to google image search and put this the first picture is the one. I see Bella more in that dress.

    i like these…the 2nd photo looks just like my middle sisters wedding dress….and i think its fine if a dress covers up your whole body…lol..not every dress needs to be sleeveless. lol

    I love the first one! The style looks timeless and classic yet modern at the same time! gorgeous! I can totally see Bella wearing it, and OMG can you all imagine what that wedding scene will be like, Bella the bride and Edward the groom? *thud*

    I agree with the others. I like the first dress, but I think the second dress might be a bit too old-fashioned for Bella.
    Ummm is it just me or is that link to the other alternate wedding gowns for Bella not working?

    no, its not just you the alternate dresses link isnt working for. and wow that first dress looks so pretty. but really not what i had in mind for bella. EW. that second pic, its dusguisting! the yellow in it, and i think it comes way too high up the neck. i was picturing something sorta off-the-shoulder, long sleeved, scoop neckline, intricately detailed, simple veil. u know, something that would SUIT BELLA. not some ugly yellow thing. nof to any of those who actually like it…

    I LOVE the 1st dress! It’s very much like I pictured it in my mind when I 1st read about it. mostly because of the Ann of Green Gables reference.
