BILLBOARD.COM: KINGS OF LEON WILL NOT BE ON THE ‘NEW MOON’ SOUNDTRACK

We’ve heard rumors that many different bands are looking into the opportunity to appear on the New Moon movie soundtrack, but today Billboard is reporting that despite hopes and initial reports, one of those rumored bands - Kings of Leon - will not appear on the film’s soundtrack. Read more below:
Kings of Leon are pondering the release of another single for “Only By Night” — Followill is thumping for “Notion” — but will not, as rumored, be contributing anything to the soundtrack for “New Moon,” the second film in the “Twilight” series. Frontman Caleb Followill, meanwhile, is preparing for a fall appearance as a guest judge on “Iron Chief,” which brother Nathan, who’s getting married in November, says “is awesome…Me and him are really big fans of nice meals and nice wine, but we just let him do it because I’m usually so drunk by the end of the meal that I probably would not make any sense on that show and they would have to bleep out a lot more than they could use.”

KOL are fab, and I’ll miss them on the soundtrack - but they are accessible elsewhere, so it’s not THAT critical.
I really wish Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy would be on the OST though… beautiful song, and so apropos!
Noooooooo!! That makes me so sad….I absolutely LOVE Kings of Leon, and I discovered them through my obsession with Twilight (Rob Pattinson’s fabulous playlist), and the thought of having the two connected would’ve been awesome.
I still adore them, but I’m a tad depressed now. Maybe Eclipse….? hahaha. One of my favorite qualities of KOL is their intense lyrics. It would’ve been really interesting to hear what they would write about Twilight.
Anybody else out there rooting for Incubus? I’ve always thought ‘earth to bella’ (either part) is perfect for New Moon. Of course a brand new song would be amazing, but I can only hope…hahaha
Damn. I was looking forward to Kings of Leon being on the soundtrack. I’m hoping that this is just a rumour or they heard wrong and they really are going to be on the soundtrack.
