TA TALKS BACK: A TWILIGHTER’S FIRST EXPERIENCE AT COMIC CON
TA fan Dyenessa went to Comic Con and shares her experience:
I left my home in Washington, DC, Wednesday night for my first Comic-Con… and it was awful! The flight attendant gave me an attitude because I brought three carry-on bags with me (one was a purse, for crying out loud) and *accidentally* jammed my finger into the overhead compartment. Five hours later, I get to LA and drive two hours to San Diego where my hotel can’t seem to find my reservation. It’s 3AM West Coast Time (which is 6AM East Coast Time), I’m running on no sleep, my finger is still bleeding and hurts like hell, and I have nowhere to lay my head. I call my boyfriend in DC and he suggests that I pull down the seats in the back and sleep in my trunk for a few hours. As I hid myself in my trunk behind all of my baggage, I never felt so pitiful in my life. I cried myself to sleep, regretting my decision to fly out to San Diego to see my favorite people at Comic-Con. My trip wouldn’t get any worse, would it?
