TA fan Ang talks about how she thinks Kristen is misunderstood:
Ok I feel like my brain is polluted so I’m going to clear it the only way I know how, writing.I read all this stuff today about Kristen Stewart and I don’t think it’s rightfully justified and it’s not just because I’m a brunette who wears Chucks either.
Ok so she’s quiet but does that make her “unfriendly”? I remember being completely ridiculed for being quiet. Automatically just because I was quiet I was a “snob”. Isn’t it possible to be shy and a celebrity? I stand in front of people every night (going on 2 years) now yelling and I still am not comfortable with it. Her job is to perform not to be comfortable with massive amounts of attention she’s getting all at once.

Can I just say, I can’t stand how people are always putting her down and saying that she’s nasty!

I was myself, reading an article about her today and all it did was say how she was mean, nasty, full of ‘teenage angst’ and all this other stuff, then said that she frowns and scowls in all of the pictures she has taken, which is a little bit stupid because I happened to come across the article while looking for pictures and in nearly ALL of them she was neither frowning or scowling.
So, she might have an adversity to the press but isn’t that fair, I mean they do pry and nit-pick at everything.
I just think that it isn’t fair to go around being nasty..
Sorry for the MAJORLY long comment, I just get so full of my own ‘teenage angst’ (XD) when I hear about her being put down.
Yes i do think Kristen is misunderstood. I dont like people making fun of her, saying she is dumb/ugly/gross/etc… I personally love Kristen, she is my favorite actress. I think she is very very talented. And people who think she is ugly or gross or whatever must not have eyes because i mean lets face it, the girl is gorgeous. She can wear anything and still look gorgeous where most people couldnt. Yes she is a nervous person when it comes to the press and such but i mean alot of people would be that way. I know i would. Im a nervous person already. She is also a shy person when it comes to the press. I mean i think people need to back off of her and realize she is a person who has feelings and is actually very talented. She has her flaws like everybody, and she should not be faulted for that. Instead of focusing on what you “think” is wrong w/ her, why not focus on her talent and the hard work she does for her fans. Just my opinion though. I think she rocks.

YOU KNOW SHE SIGNED UP TO DO A MOVIE NOT TO BE STALKED EVERY FIVE MINUTES. I KIND OF KNOW WHAT SHE IS COMING FROM I KNOW A FEW BIG TIME FOOTBALL PLAYERS AND THE CAMERAS ARE ALWAYS AROUND THEM, YOU KNOW THEY ALL ARE THE SAME THEY JUST SIGNED UP TO ENTERTAIN US NOT TO BE STALKED.THEY ARE ONLY HUMAN LIKE US.
I think most people are misunderstood most of the time. There’s always two ways to look at a situation and sadly most people take the negative approach.
And in this case, I agree that Kristen is unfairly being judged as unfriendly. I enjoy her acting, but let’s face it, in real life she’s obviously very nervous or uncomfortable in her interviews. At the end of the day, acting is a job and people don’t necessarily perform the same way off the job as they do when you’re on. I think people have this misconception that just because acting is a “public” job, actors should be a certain way. But I think it’s unfair and unrealistic to expect all actors to be friendly and talkative with the press or fans. Are all cashiers, friendly smiley people?
And as a fellow shy person who also has been misjudged as unfriendly and snobby, I totally feel you Kristen & Ang!
i do think she is a little misunderstood but i also think she is very arrogant and thinks she’s better than she really is. I’ve seen most of her movies and she plays the same character- it’s like she’s being her aloof self and not acting. She can’t act very well. She’s very wooden and when she tries to show emotion you can see the struggle behind it which is what actors are supposed to hide. And her whole “I don’t care what you think-I’m being myself-I’m so punk rock” attitude went to shit once she got a mullet. I mean she’s playing Joan Jett of all people and when she started to look the part she started to get all insecure??? Please… GET REAL! I do admire her for cutting her hair and not sporting a wig but I her performance as a rocker will probably be just like her performances in Cake Eaters, In The Land Of Women, Twilight, and Speak- the same.
People can say what they want about Kristen Stewart, but no one can deny - the girl’s got an AMAZING resume under her belt (already)! Just look at the projects she’s done and how “not serious” she takes her fame. She just wants to act and explore new characters. She doesn’t care about partying in the clubs every night or hooking up with random people, and that is so admirable, not to mention highly irregular for someone that popular in Hollywood.
A recent interview said that she is “unimpressed by celebrity”…I LOVE that phrase. Kristen is not in the business to become people’s role model or idol - she’s just doing what she loves. It’s the same thing with pro athletes: WE (as fans) put them on pedestals and expect that they are next to perfect. It’s important to remember that famous or not, they are just PEOPLE. So what if she didn’t want to smile for the papparazi? Would you if they hunted you like an animal?
I think Kristen is awesome and I can’t wait to see the Runaways!

From what I can decipher, she is a person
who is more complex than a lot of her “kind”.
It’s hard to express it that way too when your
famous, people automatically think you’re going
to be outgoing and such. That’s not true.
It’s possible to be an actor and still be shy.
danielle, how can u agree that she is a little misunderstood and then totally dis her just like all the other trash going around????? if u dont like her…just admit it. don’t pretend to agree and then trash her?
there are a lot of acting styles. i think her acting style is natural. maybe all those movies chose her for HER acting style. kristen stewart is AWESOME!!!!!
