New Moon Teaser Trailer Breakdown By Addicted to Edward

Iâ€™ve already watched the New Moon teaser trailer more times than I can count. I loved it! For me, it achieved Summitâ€™s goal â€“ it made me want to see the movie even more than I already did. Having watched it so many times, Iâ€™ve gone back to the book to compare them side-by-side, scene-by-scene.

We start with a sweeping view of the coastline, I assume in La Push. The first thing that struck me was the vivid colors. Look at that blue, blue ocean – gorgeous! The second thing I noticed was the contrast to Twilight. In Twilight, the sweeping landscape shots were usually of the forest, the tree-covered mountains, and occasionally the river. The contrast between the two sceneries is significant. During New Moon, Bella spends most of her time with Jacob, often in La Push. Twilight was all about Bella and Edward, with several scenes taking place in the forest (including a few deleted scenes). In the book, the forest always reminded Bella of Edward. The difference in the landscape footage not only shows us that New Moon will this be different from Twilight, but also represents Bellaâ€™s two sides â€“ her Edward half, and her Jacob half.

a difference i noticed from twilight and new moon is that twilight looked “cold”, i dont know how to explain it, and new moon looks “warmer”. maybe its because twilight was about edward and he’s cold, and new moon is about jacob and he’s warm. maybe its just me.

The movie Twilight looked hazy, the shots weren’t really sharp, although they were beautiful. From what I can see New Moon looks vibrant. The scene with Laurent is a perfect example. The red of his eyes is absolutely diabolical!

i think thats completely right, everyone is going on about how much its different to the book, but i dont think it really matters, that wolf transformation is amazing, they couldnt have done better!!!!!

I thought that Lauron meets with bella in her and edwards meadow. It looked like they were on stra, not in a meadow

i thought the trailer was awesome&i have much higher hopes for new moon than twilight! a few parts i was a little sketchy, but for the most part i was impressed. the only things that really bothered me were Laurent..his accent is pretty terrible lol, and jacob’s wolf..i figured a little more russet coloured, but instead, he’s orange&looks more like a fox..still good tho!

This is a really good analysis. Thank you for taking the time to go through this. It helps to answer a lot of questions I had without having to re-read the book (again!). I have faith that the wolves will be bigger in the movie and that the Jacob wolf in the trailer is just a ‘draft’ version.

i think the color scheme of twilight and new moon wasnt meant to be a “color scheme”. i personally believe that there was just a better/richer quality about the picture altogether. Twilight was soooo low budget and sadly not half as good as it couldve been. i think for new moon they realize that this is a HUGE deal! lol we need this to be spectacular and they are going to every extreme to get it right. i just hope kristen doesnt studder..i honestly like her a lot as bella, but pleeeease dont studder!!! i cannot freaking wait to see the movie and i hope that it is as amazing as i am hoping for… then again i thought twilight couldnt be messed up (not that i dont watch twilight on a regular basis)!
really we’re lucky that the books are being brought to life period. so whatever they do, at least i will walk away with great visuals. and rob and taylor are great to look at reguardless. =)

I think that in twilight the scenes between edward and bella looked really awkward when in the book it has kind of a flow between them. I think that they should have spent more time on it to perfect the lines so it doent sound like its being read out, insted it should have sounded like it was actually happening. i think that new moon will be better then twilight coz i think has been realized just how important this series is to the fans – like me lol – and the first trailer was totally awsome…i love the part where Jacob transforms into a werewolf. It was priceless. & taylor’s body is so damn smoking hot it just cant be real lol. Rob is totally hot aswell and i hope those rumours about those hot abs he had in that photo i saw are wrong coz that would suck if he was faking the hot muscles he got. I hope Kristen doent do that wierd studdering and blinking rappedly thing in new moon coz it was kind of annoying. Anywayz that new trailer was tottally awsome, keep the trailers coming…lol

and i hope the movie too.
this history is so beautiful, and wonderful.
new moon we can see a new character like the jacob is perfect and totally different from edward
