TA fan Oretha saw yesterday’s TA talks back and wrote a rebuttal:

 

Is the Hype Too Much? by Oretha

The promotion wheels of a, movie never shut down. Part of what makes a movie is making sure you get the people out there to see it. Publicists, managers, agents all will do cart wheels to try and get their actors and actresses in front of as many cameras, news papers and press as possible. Promotion tours are not just for the ones who know what’s coming, but for the ones who haven’t ever heard of the movie. I know it’s hard to believe but there is still a buying audience that missed the first one, and have no intention of reading the books, but now due to all the talk they are going to tune in. Those are the people they are trying to get excited. Think this time around its going o be more sophisticated. They will be stationed for whole promotion tours all cross the world. The international and the domestic audiences will get fed just enough to keep them salivating. If the long term marketing buzz world this should kick off what they have stated noticing is taking root. Previous movies that were great in push spawned likes of the Trekkies. There are a host of conventions.
