TA Fan Jennifer talks about the hysteria that surrounds Twilight, and in particular Robert Pattinson:
I’m a Twilight fan. Before you read any further, I would like to point out that I, like most other Twilighters, am sane. I do not try to stalk the cast, I’m not lurking around any corners, my goal in life is not to meet the people who play Stephenie Meyer’s beloved characters. I do get excited when I see Twilight-related news, I did yell and clap the first time I saw the New Moon trailer, my books have a special place on the shelf, and I do own a poster that my husband is trying desperately to keep me from actually hanging.

I completely agree, its ridiculous that stars have to be afraid. What’s even more ridiculous is that most fans are completely out of control and have no respect for actors as people. It’s sad what Robert Pattinson is going through and I feel so bad for him. He’s just a normal guy, who’s trying to live his life, let him be…
I thought my obsession with everything Twilight was bad, but some of Rob’s fan are out of control. I hope he can keep his sanity through the nightmare they are creating for him.
I have never commented on an article before but this one struck a cord with me. I am a 30-something mother of two and I love Twilight. I have read all the books and have told my mom, friends familey etc about them and now they are all fans as well. We sit and talk about movies books etc and we were discussing the other day about how some of these fans were getting “a bit out of control”. I know they’re celbrities and all but these girls need to remember that they play “characters” in these movies. He is not “really” Edward. He is just a guy going to see friends or out to dinner like anyone else. Some restraint might do you some good.
I think this situation involving Rob Pattinson and the crazed fans has been completely blown out of proportion. I myself am a huge Twilight fan, and if I happen to see him I will be very excited (okay maybe a little over excited). I will even nicely ask for an autograph and a photo(If I don’t alredy faint by then lol!!). That is it. I will most certainly not try to grab him or do anything stalkerish. I think these crazy fans are really making him stressed out and frusturated.The last thing we want to see is Robert sad and depressed. Please let him be.

This issue concerning Robert Pattinson and these crazy fan girls has been completely been blown out of proportion. The man wants a normal life to do normal things such as go and eat out in peace (is that so much to ask?). Please give him some space. The last thing a twi-hard fans wants to see is Rob sad, stressed or depressed. If this keeps happening he will be that way. He just wants to act and do what he loves to do not be stalked!!

I totally agree….I wish they would heed this warning “BACK OFF”
I have been to the santioned events and I would love for some of the bigger stars to be able to be there if some people were not so badly behaved that it scares them to try to stay away.
