TA TALKS BACK: THE MAGIC OF SEEING TWILIGHT IN THEATERS

TA fan Kim compares watching the DVD to seeing the Twilight movie in theater:
As many of us have spent the past week watching our DVDs wearing out the first copy that we’d bought, I wonder about some of the ‘magic’ that the movie theaters possess. Does the big screen triumph over the DVD/Blu-ray no matter how much you love a movie? Trekking to different theaters eight times to see ‘Twilight’ trying to get the little fixes we all know we needed, I found something new and special each time. Although I questioned my sanity at times and asked myself, “Why am I doing this? Why am I paying these outrageous prices to see this movie over and over again?” And, I knew it wasn’t as great as the book, but with unknown actors, a small budget, a new studio company, and the BIG novel that could (excuse my Little Engine That Could reference), I felt Catherine Hardwicke did a fair job.

i agree. i saw it 23x a bit excessive bit you do see something diffrent. the dvd gives you a more personal viewing expeience. not having to deal with other people or a huge screen sometimes far from it can get tedious. i have more then one copy for the extras and im slowly gonna wear all them out between my nephew and my friends who *gasp* havent bought their own yet in time to start over with new moon. lolol by then well ahve even more super copies of twilight that they want us to buy with NEVER BEFORE SEEN FOOTAGE. cant wait!
i too saw it more tiems than i want to count at the theater…and i did see things each time i had not seen the time before… like lizzy pattinson ( robs sister ) sang vocals on the movie.. what i like about having ..again..more copies of ther dvd ( six so far ) is that i can pause whenever i want..like when edward smiles really smiles for the first time… ;o)
I lvoe the ltwight dvd. I was happy to get he second dics ( I am twi hard lvoign the series, the actors, the charater,s well the good oens anyway) and tnephane meyerand I lvoe how she puts moral in book. I got the disco on.e the speical features rock, my fave deldted scence is the one when he saysh ern umber is and you don’t know it’s toruemd me scene. I want the third dsic though. cant’ wait for new moon
i hav seen the movie every nite on my laptop ever since a got it 2 weeks ago (my mom didnt wanna pre-order it so i had 2 wait until it actually came out, which was pure torture), but i hav actually never seen it in theater cuz i hadnt read the books wen it was in theater cuz i cudnt c the big deal about it (i am also a die-hard harry potter fan), and by the time i read the book it was out of theaters. but i hav always preferred watching it on DVD rather than in theaters because i can pause my fave parts, rewind, rewind, rewind, re-watch, rewind…u get the idea
