Not Just Another Friday Night

March 20th, 2009 wasn’t just any other Friday night. It was the night that Twilight fans had been waiting for for months, Twilight’s DVD release. Twilight fans across the country were waiting for that magical time of 12:01 a.m.. They went to release parties and some had parties of their own, having pre-ordered the DVD.

I myself attended a Twilight party at Hot Topic here in Macon,Ga. People began lining up at the door at 9:00p.m. even though the doors didn’t open until 10:00 p.m.. There were 30-40 people there, teens with parents, some without and others of various ages.

We had refreshments of cookies and such while some guests signed up to win extra special prizes(to be drawn through out the week) and others were buying merchandise.

    ..i went to the hot topic at the florence mall in kentuky, the store opened at 10:30 and we were there at about 10:00 as the mall was still open…about 50 people can fit in the store comfortably however i am sure there were more in there….there was a table set up outside and a lot of us just hung out there…games were played and lots of stuff was given away… i got the new baseball t-shirt…it was a great evening….now i can’t wait for new moon…. ;o)

    i went to the WalMart in my home town of little old Lake City Florida, I honestly thought I’d be the ONLY one there waiting {maybe a few others} but I was so wrong!!!!! there were SO MANY Twilighters there!!! it was so damn funny!! my sis went with me,shes never read the books or seen the movie so she doesn’t get it, so she was like “whoa”!!!!LoL!! of course she liked the movie, so she borrowed Twilight {the book} i have a feeling i got another soon to be twilighter on my hands!!!!

    OMG! I was at that Hot Topic!! I wish I had known a TAer was there, I would have said hello! I was one of the 2 people who won the prize for only missing 2 of the 50 questions. I’m still aggravated that I missed two. haha We had a great time though, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a phone call today about the giveaways!
