Since he hasn’t directed very many movies I am reserving judgement until I see what ever comes out during the filming of Eclipse. I know we really discussed this quite thoroughly before and a lot of people had varying opinions.
I’m confused about the statement of Eclipse being a small budget movie. I sure hope not there’s a lot of action, as well as serious romance in the book, so I hope they are not going to try to make it on the cheap. please. Maybe you remember me saying it’s my favorite book, like about thousand times, ha,ha.

He has enough experience to know the in’s and out’s of filming. My biggest concern is if he has the vision. Many of us have the vision, but limited resources to make them realtity. I’m kind of excited to see what he does. I only hope that he doesn’t make things too violent or bloody. I don’t want the violence to take away from the story. Not to mention it would be nice for younger viewers 8 – 12 to be able to see the movie. My son will be 8 soon. He asked me constantly about what was happening in the books. Seemed like every chapter! He will be very upset if he can’t see the movies. Let’s just be positive that our Directors will take care of the movies and do the books justice! B :)

Im just a bit freaked out that he’s going to focus too much on the blood and gore of the newborns. He gives me a creepy vibe. LOL! Dont know why.

It’s important he tackles the mistrust between the Quileutes and Cullens. If he focuses on the way Bella inadvertantly brings the wolves and vampires together, then I’ll be a happy camper.

PLEASE MR SLADE, don’t focus on just the baddies the way Catherine did. It took away from the important stuff.

OK, I still won’t be able to make up my mind about DS as a director. I think I’m gonna have to put it on my to do list to see this 30 days of night movie, but from the sounds of it, I won’t like it. I’m not really into gory scary movies, and if I watch it, I’m afraid I might be even more worried about him directing Eclipse! What to do, what to do…

kerri-he is a little creepy, isn’t he? Ha Ha
Chelle-go ahead and rent 30 Days of Night. I actually think it will put your mind at ease. It is gory in parts, but there’s a good story there too. The action is top-notch, and this guy knows how to do vampire hordes and fight scenes. There is a little romance in 30 Days and it is handled well. I was actually impressed with it. I think this Mr. Slade will do a fine job. Let’s give him a chance!
I hope they get Chris back for Breaking Dawn!
