TWILIGHT SAGA BOOK CLUB - CHAPTER TWENTY - IMPATIENCE
TA Staff member Erica and TAer Claire are back with chapter 20 of Twilight
Bella awakens in a hotel room, unable to recall where she is for a few moments. She rethinks back to the last few hours, the car ride, talking to Alice and Jasper, and the vivid flash backs of her second family, the Cullens, while she spent the last few moments with them in Forks. Bella, worried about Edward and the rest of the Cullens, tells Alice and Jasper her fears for their family. Jasper and Alice tell Bella that there is nothing to fear and that their only concern is for her safety.Bella asks Alice to tell her how vampires are made and Alice tells her the mechanics of it, warning that Edward will be very upset when he learns that she has revealed this. Alice sees that James’ decision has changed, setting a whole new scene in her head. Edward calls Bella and lets her know that everything is fine and he will come to get her as soon as it is safe. Alice sees that James’ changed his decision again and they realize that he may be in Phoenix. Bella, scared for her mom, leaves a message on their house answering machine telling her where she is and not to be worried. Bella then drifts of to sleep on the couch.

As you continue to read through the chapters of Twilight,
The question still remains. What is it that makes Twilight so popular? Is it great literature or just entertainment? In fact, when the author, Stephenie Meyer was asked what was the message she wanted to send out through the novel, she replied that she never wrote messages. She just wrote about things that entertained her. Does this mean that Twilight is only good for a light, entertaining read? Since most of you on this blog are hard core fans, I would love to hear your take on this.
