BURGER KING TEAMS WITH SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT FOR ‘NEW MOON’
By now we all know about the awesome New Moon crowns that were given out at this year’s Comic Con and since then there has been speculation about what the partnership between Burger King and Summit Entertainment would bring next. Well, Business Wire has released an official press release today with more details about what we can expect from Burger King in the near future:
As fan interest reaches a fever pitch, Burger King Corp. today confirmed that it will team with Summit Entertainment for one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” which arrives in theaters on Nov. 20, 2009.For fans hungry for another bite of the “Twilight” film franchise, Burger King Corp. is revealing a few details of what will be available in participating BURGER KING® restaurants nationwide this November as part of its multi-faceted “New Moon” promotion. A special gift of holiday value, which guests will receive free (while supplies last) with the purchase of a BK BURGER SHOTS® six pack value meal, will be packed full with “New Moon” merchandise offers, retail coupons and collectible cards. Additionally, a series of limited-edition “New Moon”-themed BK® Crown Cards featuring stars from the film are available for purchase at BURGER KING® restaurants and online at www.bkcrowncard.com. Once acquired, these collectible gift cards, which have a $5 minimum limit, can be loaded at BURGER KING® restaurants nationwide. These exclusive items are just a glimpse of what will be offered in BURGER KING® restaurants and are sure to be a hit with “Twilight” fans looking for hot gifts this holiday season. More information will be revealed in early November when the promotion launches in BURGER KING® restaurants nationwide.

OMG what has happened! I thought that, with all the ridiculous Twilight merch out on the market, i could live with it just if it they didnt put little edwards in Happy Meals. And now, BURGER KING of all companies! Thats like, the equivalent of Hungry Jacks over here isnt it? Its terrible! The most horrid of fast food onslaughts! I totally agree, HELL HAS FROZEN OVER!! Burger King crowns with vampires and werewolves on them basically talking here, totally weird and ridiculous. Guess everyone’s trying to cash in on Twilight. I can see the crowns at comic con, but for it to go main stream, ugh!!

I like almost all things Twilight, but I won’t be purchasing gift cards from BK. I like BK, but I just feel weird purchasing a gift card from any fast food place. If they are planning on having other merchandise, I will check it out, but as far as purchasing goes, it will depend on what they get in.
This is getting rediculous.. lol. I mean I’m a huge fan and all, but WTH?! Things are way out of control.. rofl.. I have the books and will have all the movies… and maybe a mousepad. But I don’t know anyone who would want to wear a Team Jacob crown while eating a whopper. XD
I don’t know about everyone else but I am so gonna be there exspecially on Nov. 16 to see what exclusive stuff they have. I like all the pictures they have done with new moon they are so pretty and anything I can grab with those pics on it I will. Ya it is kinda korney that everyone is using the twilight saga to pull in money for themselves but hey if there are diamonds laying on the ground even in the most lavish of neighborhoods people are gonna scoop them up as fast as possible.
