CATHERINE HARDWICKE TO BE INDUCTED INTO TEXAS FILM HALL OF FAME

Hardwicke To Be Inducted Into Hall Of Fame

“Twilight” director and McAllen native Catherine Hardwicke will be inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame.

The Austin-American Statesman reported on Tuesday that Harwicke and others will be honored at a ceremony at Austin Studios on March 12.

The event marks the ninth annual event, which raises money for the Austin Film Society.

Past inductees include Horton Foote , Cyd Charisse, Ethan Hawke and Farrah Fawcett.

Regardless of how things ended with Summit, Catherine deserves this. She brought Twilight to life. Maybe not in the way we thought she should, but I believe she did her best. And she managed to break box office records as a female director. I’m glad that the Texas Film Hall of Fame will be honoring her.
