Twilight star, and unstoppable brooding machine, Robert Pattinson attended the premiere of Sex Drive in Los Angeles Wednesday night, taunting mere mortals with his wild hair and wilder eyes.

Pattinson has become such a phenomenon for the yet-to-be-released flick that he’s already the second-most searched star on industry and fan community IMDB (Internet Movie Database), coming in just behind Depp.

The film, based on a popular series of novels, is in such high demand that 15-minute sneak previews are selling out in seconds.

Not to mention Entertainment Weekly’s decision to slap Pattinson’s puss on the cover of their Holiday Movie Guide.

And the next step in Pattinson’s world domination? The gay role for serious thesp cred. Well played, Rob. Well played.

I am really shocked that Rob comes in right behind Johnny Depp on the most searched star on IMDB. Do those stats surprise you? Or did you expect this from Rob?

I’m really not surprised by his recent popularity. From what I’ve seen and heard Rob is quite friendly and approachable. He has all the qualities of a great actor, plus his great looks. I believe all this popularity will not change him, he seems to be level headed. You will hear more about him in the years to come. If Summit Entertainment commits to completeing all Stephenie Meyer’s sequels, Rob will be in demand with those movies. After the Twilight series is complete, I’m sure he will still have more offers to choose from.

Im not surprised what so ever! I always said Rob could be the next Johhny Depp if he plays his cards right. He has that potential. What I love about him personally, besides the amazing Pattinson gene pool, is his ability to not conform to what everyone else is doing. His hair for instance, his clothes, the roles he choses. I love his go-with-the-flow attitude, it’s refreshing and amusing at the same time. If his agent and Summit do their job promoting Rob properly, we’ll be seeing his face in many amazing projects to come!
