New Moon/PETA photo shoot
I am finished filming New Moon. It was great to see everyone again!
Chris Weitz was great! I can’t believe that I have been so fortunate to have worked with such talented people in such a short time. Stephenie, Catherine, Chris and more. I am so grateful! This time around I felt more comfortable letting the team know that when I was dressed as Angela, I and Angela would prefer to be dressed animal cruelty free and they obliged. They were awesome! I’m so thankful that they went out of there way to find items that did not have animal products in them. It was touching.
Today I did a shoot for PETA to help provent the slaughter/murder of seals. Wearing fur is NOT sexy or cool. Taking a stance and being your own person is the coolest/sexiest thing you can do. I think fur belongs on the animal, your pet. Take notice. Take part. Don’t allow the slaughter.

I can’t believe Christian is already done with filming, they are moving right along. I have to admit, as a hippie at heart, I really love that she insisted on being dressed animal cruelty free. I also thinks it’s pretty cool she is doing photoshoots for PETA, especially concerning the seals.
What do you think of what Christian had to say about wrapping up her filming? What do you think of her helping PETA out with photoshoots?

Wow..they are moving fast! I guess she isn’t in NM that much though.
I am so proud of her..that takes guts to stand up and ask for that! I myself am very excited to see the photoshoot she did with PETA, I’m a PETA member myself, and a vegitarian since I’ve seen and read the things on their site.

First off: they film movies out of sequence all the time for the timing of other projects, so the fact that Christian is done has nothing to do with how quickly the movie is being made. Besides: faster is NOT better, folks!
Second: there is nothing like people trying to be mature and educated while they misspell and use incorrect grammar.

You are a gorgeous girl, I really liked the character Angela and I am looking forward to seening you in more movies in the future.
I didn’t really have an opinion on Serratos herself, but doing a photoshoot for PETA certainly does NOT endear her to me. PETA is a radical organization that has been trying to undermine many decent animal orgaizations (the AKC, for instance) for years now, and they have recently escaladed their attacks on purebred dog ownership. Their defense of wild animals is admirable, but beneath the compassionate, animal-loving exterior, PETA’s priorities are completely out of whack. Unfortunately, many stars who do promotional activities for the organization do not see the extremist nature of the group. Just my two cents.
That’s so cool that Christian stood up for what she believes in & asked that they help her with that. Wearing of fur and animal cruelty is terrible.
I’m not worried that she’s done already. Angela isn’t in NM very much (that I can recall. I don’t think there’s much with the other humans either.) The bigger/more important parts are the introduction of the wolves and what happens in Italy and meeting of the Volturi.
I did just read in a magazine that Rob & Kris just finished the scene where Bella was taking pics of Edward (with new cam from Mom for Birthday). Read that after the scene was finished Rob & Kris kept taking more pics and having a lot of fun. There were pics in mag showing them laughing, on set of NM. Mag said they were taking pics in school yard. In book she took pics of Edward in Charlie’s house & kids took pics in cafeteria.
Wow. I agree 100% Christian! I hate to see celebrities wear fur because it makes them feel luxuriant. And I thought I couldnt like Angela any more. LOL!
um did anybody watch the ad she filmed? she’s definitely sitting on a leather couch. isnt that the opposite of what peta would want?

And being a PETA member myself and a vegetarian, I’m happy to see she supports a good cause. Yes, I agree PETA takes some extremist actions, however, they do that to draw in part to draw attention to the animal cruelty. I’m sorry to say that the AKC does not support baby seals or the wildlife around… Let’s not compare apples to oranges, Ashley.
Let’s not undermine her attempts at supporting something she believes in. Right on, Christian!!!

I was looking at the PETA website just the other day, having gotten the link from DOLLY magazine. Its awesome that she supports PETA- I love seals too!
PETA is SOOOO lame. Seriously, I’m embarrassed for Christian. What a stupid thing to make people do for her. They should be able to dress Angela however they want. And frankly, if she’s so against the mistreatment of animals, why did she accept the role in this movie?…a movie where vampires KILL animals and discard their carcasses AND fur. I’m so sick of Hollywood breeding so many uneducated, liberal puppets.
