Collider-com – Tonner releases info and images on their Bella and Edward figures

For those that donâ€™t know about the company Tonner, they make very expensive and very high end figures. While prices always change, theyâ€™re usually over $100 each. That being said, they use real clothing, they hand paint the figure, and when looking at them up close, you can tell the difference.

Anyhow, with the popularity of â€œTwilightâ€, I donâ€™t think the high price tag is going to stop many from buying these just announced character figures of Bella and Edward. While Iâ€™m not blown away by the likeness of either figureâ€¦they definitely got Robert Pattinsonâ€™s hair correct. And for most fansâ€¦thatâ€™ll be enough.

The Bella doll is pretty cute but the Edward one is just freaky, in my opinion. His hair is huge. The clothing they’re wearing is so detailed.

Do you like the dolls? Will you buy them? (I won’t – too expensive)

I wish the action figures would be made that were more reasonable. The average person who is a Twilight fan probably couldn’t afford to buy $100 action figures. If I did, they would be put away and kept in the box. WHat fun is that? There needs to be less expensive, but good action figures made. I thought I read somewhere a few months ago that they may be around $20 or so.

Not so much. I don’t think they look like the characters, either from the movie or what I had pictured in my head from the book (I don’t remember Edward’s–or Rob’s–face being somewhat chubby at all). Definitely not for over $100.

OK, Edward’s hair is great-Ha Ha-I’ve got it-RP and KS’s power is in their hair! Ha Ha
Doesn’t look too much like Kristen to me-Edward looks closer to Robert, but I also think these are too expensive for most fans. I’d have to see better/closer pics, but right now, I’d say I wouldn’t buy them. I hope NECA gets the license for some 7 inch figures-they did a great job with the Harry Potter franchise. And, with 7 inch figures, we could get the whole Cullen clan plus, maybe Bella’s dad too (with his shotgun). And, I’d really like a James figure. With his shirt off! Ha Ha
