All week long, ‘It’s On with Alexa Chung’ has been giving us some great New Moon goodies to tide us over until the film’s release today in theaters, and she even had a few of the stars stop by to chat. On Wednesday Nikki Reed dropped by, while Kellan Lutz and Elizabeth Reaser paid a visit yesterday. Alexa has some great interviews with the three actors, but as per usual, she also has some surprises in store for them (including a surprise appearance by John Mayer!):

I loved these interviews! I laughed out loud with Nikki’s parasailing story with Kristen. And John Mayer’s appearance was a pretty funny addition too. What did you think of these interviews?

We’ve just gotten in some very cool stats from Fandango to follow up with the exciting news we got earlier today regarding midnight showing sales. The movie brought in a whopping $26.27 million dollars in midnight showings alone (read more about that here if you missed it), and things definitely have not slowed down. Ticket sales show no signs of tapering off this weekend, as the movie is trending to sell more than 10 tickets per second throughout the course of the day on Fandango.

Summit Entertainment has reported that “New Moon” set a new record for opening midnight shows with an estimated gross of $26.270 million playing at 3,514 theaters for a per theater average of $7,476.

Several thousand of last night’s midnight shows were sold out in advance on our site. Fandango sold nearly 30% of Thursday night’s estimated domestic box office for “New Moon.”

How many of you have already seen New Moon and how many of you plan to go for a second (or third/fourth/tenth/fiftieth) viewing this weekend?

Fancast has just unleashed a great set of interviews with nearly everyone behind New Moon. We’ve been hearing bits and pieces about this for a while, but in a new interview with Extra TV, Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley) talks a bit more about the tattoos him and the rest of the wolf pack (Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon, and Bronson Pelletier) intend to get at some point. In the new video he discusses their uncertainty of what to get, and even suggests that the fans come up with some ideas! Check it out below:

“I might not do this, but if you send in suggestions about a tattoo design that the boys and I could get, that would be great,” Spencer tells “Extra.” “I can’t make any promises, but we are looking for suggestions.”

Spencer, 34, says the pack — Alex Meraz, 24, Kiowa Gordon, 19, and Bronson Pelletier, 23 — have “talked about it… I don’t know if it’s going to be an actual wolf pack tattoo; we might just design something ourselves. But we’re definitely going to get something because this is a pretty life-changing experience.”

As for Taylor Lautner’s ink? “We might have to convince him. We might have to hold him down and tattoo him,” he jokes.

This is one of my favourite scenes from ‘Breaking Dawn’ and I think this is a great comic to go with the scene. What do you think of this comic? Did you find it funny? Does it do the scene justice?

Rob Pattinson appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show today as part of the final push in New Moon promotion. Rob spoke a lot about how life has been for the last year and he told a story of a fan who stripped based off of a joking statement he made. Rob’s family also was in attendance and Rob joked a bit about that and talked about wanting to buy a house. Check out the videos below:

Rob was so much more relaxed on the Ellen Show, much like Kristen was with Jimmy Fallon. It seems that both of them are much more relaxed with certain hosts. This was a fun interview to watch, Rob actually looked like he was having a good time.

The Today Show rounded up their New Moon coverage today with a special appearance by Taylor Lautner. Taylor spoke about keeping the part of Jacob, gaining the weight for the part, the paparazzi and Taylor’s love for acting. Check out the video below:

Taylor always looks so comfortable when he is being interviewed. I don’t know if he just has a lot of confidence or what, but he looks pretty relaxed. Hopefully now with New Moon opening he won’t be continually asked about gaining weight and working out so much anymore. I wish the press would stop asking all of these guys the very personal questions, it would be nice if they were allowed some privacy.
