As if there weren’t enough versions of the DVD already, Target has yet another special edition ‘Twilight’ DVD available for pre-order. This one is a 3-disc deluxe edition and is currently at a price of $22.99. Read below for more details:
⢠This exclusive edition includes a free iTunes download of the film and bonus content including a conversation with Stephenie Meyer and Edwardâs piano concert
⢠Features Robert Pattinson on “Becoming Edward,” Kristen Stewart on “Becoming Bella,” Catherine Hardwicke’s vampire kiss montage and Bella’s lullaby remix music video

A 3-disc edition sounds cool, but my head is aching from all of the 1-disc, 2-disc, special edition, deluxe edition, whatever edition DVDs. I wish they’d just have one or two types of DVDs so we could make an easy choice. Having said that, I’ll still probably buy this one, too, along with the other 75 editions.
Are you excited about a 3-disc deluxe edition, or are you sick of new DVD editions coming out? Will you pre-order this one or are you going to purchase another one? How many DVDs are you ordering?

Robert Pattinson’s Difficult Twilight
Robert Pattinson found filming Twilight a lot more difficult than filming Harry Potter. Rob explained to Movies Online; “It’s different. When I was doing “Harry Potter,” which I did, there already had been three made. It was already a slick machine by the time I got into it. Whereas with “Twilight,” people didn’t realize really what it was, the extent of what it was, and it kept growing and growing.” To read more, click here.
Rob can’t wait to dump co-star Kristen Stewart
When asked what he is looking forward to about the sequel, Robert replied: The scene where we temporarily break up. On one hand, it’s completely impossible. And on the other, it sets a very different tone to the series. I think it will be good. To read more, click here.

A few days ago, MTV confronted all of the ‘New Moon’ rumors we’ve heard over the past few weeks, and even created some of their own. You, the readers, came back strong with some hilarious rumors of your own - and MTV picked out the best ones:
- Apparently, you are obsessed with Disney stars getting eaten by the Volturi or just getting eaten all together. âJaNuArYMoRNiNgXOâ wrote, âI think the best one would be if the Jonas Brothers replaced the Cullen brothers, and they all went to Camp Rock and ate every other cookie-cutter Disney star out there.â Poor Demi Lovato! Oh, and laurenx33 wants Madonna to get eaten too.
- âXoforbiddenfruitxoâ dreamed up this rumor about Dylan and Cole Sprouse playing evil vampire siblings, Alec and Jane. Which one will play Jane? Could it be the âSuite Life in Italyâ? Not a bad idea. Get on that Disney!
- Talk about merging two franchises! âDr.Pepperâ âheardâ that at the end of the credits of âNew Moon,â the Hulk is going to recruit the Cullens to join the Avengers. Carlisle is the new Captain America, and they would just forget about making âEclipseâ and âBreaking Dawn.â
- âEllieâ wants the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to replace Emmett. I donât know how I feel about this rumor. My vote goes to Christian Bale. Why? Because just like Mickey Rourke, Christian Bale is awesome. Awesomely hot.
- âBittenApplEâ has a very special announcement! Thereâs going to be a new character in âNew Moonâ named Cedward Diggen, but I think âBittenApp1Eâ meant Cedric Diggory. Itâs okay Bitten, because I get all my Robert Pattinsons confused too. I also heard that just like Daniel Radcliffeâs character, Stewart, Cedric will also be carrying around his wizard stick. Then heâs going to fall in love with Bella and fight for her love. Thereâs going to be an intense fight between Edward and Cedric, but then Jacob jumps into the brawl! Jacob is T.Oâed because heâs been kicked out of the love triangle, so heâll enlist Teen Wolf to be his partner in crime. OK, Iâm going overboard.
- I have one more bogus tale for you fans. Youâve probably heard that Drew Barrymore is rumored to be one of the candidates for director of âEclipse,â but sheâs also going to star in âBreaking Dawnâ! Sheâs going to recruit Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz for the film, and theyâll play the Amazonian coven, Zafrina, Senna, and Kachiri. Beat that!
Ha! I loved these - especially the one about the Jonas Brothers replacing the Cullens. I have to say though, I think the ones you guys have posted here are funnier.
What do you think of these (fake!) rumors? Which rumor is your favorite? Now, let’s hear it: give us your best ‘New Moon’ rumors!
It’s been a good news week in the world of Twilight, and now we’ve got some even more good news for you! This Thursday, March 5th, Access Hollywood will be showing some deleted scenes from the ‘Twilight’ movie! Below is the teaser that Access Hollywood showed the other night:
(Thanks TaylorCullen)
Oh, I can’t wait for this. It’s less than a month away from the DVD release, but I’m dying for some Twi-footage. I can’t wait to see which deleted scenes they show.
Will you be watching Access Hollywood next week? Which deleted scenes are you hoping they show?
It’s Saturday - and you know what that means: time to highlight another Twilight series outtake written by Stephenie Meyer herself. This week, TA Staffer Claire brings us an outtake from Twilight, Chapter 20, Flight (Shopping with Alice). This is a longer version of Chapter 20 where we see Alice and Jasper take Bella on the run to protect her from James. We’ve included some great questions at the bottom to get your minds working, so please read, respond and tell us what you think!
So, without further ado, we bring you the outtake titled Flight (Shopping with Alice).

âTwilight Outtake: âFlightâ - AKA âShopping with Aliceâ
Jasper drove one-handed, carelessly it seemed, but the muscular car flew forward with perfect precision. Alice sat with me on the black leather back seat. Somehow, during the night, my head had ended up against her granite neck, her cool arms enfolding me, her cheek pressed against the top of my head. The front of her thin cotton shirt was cold, damp with my tears. Now and then, if my breathing grew uneven, she would murmur soothingly; in her fast, high voice, the encouragements sounded like singing. To keep myself calm, I focused on the touch of her cold skin; it felt like a physical connection to Edward.
As soon as it was announced that filming for ‘New Moon’ would be set mainly in Vancouver, BC, we were all left wondering why things wouldn’t be set in Oregon, like ‘Twilight’ was. Oregon Business Magazine has a very cool and informative article explaining why the decision was made to move to Vancouver, and even say that ‘Eclipse’ will also not be filmed in the state:
Oregon’s starring role in teen vampire love story Twilight, the blockbuster film based on author Stephanie Meyerâs bestselling book series, has been a boon to the stateâs film and tourism industry. But production incentives and wooing by the state film office werenât enough to convince filmmakers to return for sequel New Moon, set to begin production this spring. Producer Summit Entertainment will relocate to Vancouver, British Columbia, and Italy, VP of publicity Vivian Mayer confirmed through an assistant.
Vince Porter, executive director of the Governorâs Office of Film and Television estimates producers spent $20 million in the state. New Moon, which is reportedly budgeted at $50 million, up from the $37 million Twilight budget, would likely have brought in even more.
Porter says filmmakers were partly concerned that Oregon wouldnât have the production resources to support two Twilight sequels being made back-to-back. The lower Canadian dollar also made filming in British Columbia cheaper.
Then just as the film office was trying its best to lure back Twilight producers, CBS Films committed to film The Untitled Crowley Project starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Frasier in Oregon, eating up the stateâs film resources and crews, he says.
Porter says the Crowley project, set to begin filming in April, will replace any money lost from the move and could bring even more spending to the state because producers plan to use more local film companies.
Meanwhile, devoted Twilight fans continue to visit the area.
Columbia County tourism director Amber Dennis is still fielding calls from tour groups and operators planning visits through 2010 to St. Helens, which stands in for Forks, Wash., the home of Twilightâs main characters.
âWe donât see that the next two films not being filmed here are going to affect us in a negative way because people are still making this pilgrimage to the Inn,â says Geoff Thompson, owner of the View Point Inn in the Columbia River Gorge, site of the final prom scene in the movie.
Twilightâs departure comes as Porter and the Oregon film industry lobby state legislators this session to increase the Oregon Production Incentive Fund from its current $5 million annual cap to $7.5 million. The fund is used to offer cash rebates to producers who spend at least $750,000 in the state. Porter says it tends to run out of money six months into the year, forcing the state to turn away productions.
âIf it had been higher we might have had a running shot at getting [the sequel]â he says.
This was a great article. It’s sad that the money and resources issues got in the way of them returning to Oregon, but cheaper costs mean more money toward the quality of the film. So, while it’s sad, I’m glad a happy medium was able to be found.
What do you think of this article? Are you surprised at the reasons they gave for ‘New Moon’ not returning to Oregon? Are you worried about the fact that it’s being filmed mainly in Vancouver, rather than Oregon?
