TOP TEN TUESDAYS - TOP 10 TWILIGHT SERIES MOMENTS
For today’s Top Ten Tuesday, we’ve decided to mix it up a bit! Back in early August, Blast Magazine created a Top Ten list of their own. It was so great that we decided to feature it as this week’s Top Ten Tuesday list!

10. The end of “Breaking Dawn”“‘We have plenty of time to work on it,’ I reminded him.
‘Forever and forever and forever,’ he murmured.
‘That sounds exactly right to me.’
And then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of our forever.”
9. Bella and Edward’s first ever kiss from “Twilight”
“I couldn’t breathe.
He hesitated - not in the normal way, the human way.
Not the way a man might hesitate before he kissed a woman, to gauge her reaction, to see how he would be received. Perhaps he would hesitate to prolong the moment, that ideal moment of anticipation, sometimes better than the kiss itself.
Edward hesitated to test himself, to see if this was safe, to make sure he was still in control of his need.
And then his cold, marble lips pressed very softly against mine.”
8. Jacob imprints from “Breaking Dawn”
“My jerking came to a stop; heat flooded through me, stronger than before, but it was a new kind of heat - not a burning.
It was a glowing.
Everything inside me came undone as I stared at the tiny porcelain face of the half-vampire, half-human baby. […] The gravity of the earth no longer tied me to the place where I stood.

7. The cliff jump in “New Moon”

6. Bella first sees Edward in “Twilight”
“It was there, sitting in the lunchroom, trying to make conversation with seven curious strangers, that I first saw them.
They were sitting in the corner of the cafeteria, as far away from where I sat as possible in the long room. There were five of them. […]
The last was lanky, less bulky, with untidy, bronze-colored hair. He was more boyish than the others, who looked like they could be in college, or even teachers here rather than students.
[…]‘That’s Edward. He’s gorgeous, of course, but don’t waste your time. He doesn’t date. Apparently none of the girls here are good-looking enough for him.’ She sniffed, a clear case of sour grapes. I wondered when he’d turned her down.”
5. The wedding from “Breaking Dawn”
“I didn’t realize I was crying until it was time to say the binding words.
‘I do,’ I managed to choke out in a nearly unintelligible whisper, blinking my eyes clear so I could see his face.
When it was his turn to speak, the words rang clear and victorious.
‘I do,’ he vowed.”
4. Bella’s first kiss with Edward as a vampire in “Breaking Dawn”
“It was like he’d never kissed me - like this was our first kiss. And in truth, he’d never kissed me this way before.
It almost made me feel guilty. Surely I was in breach of the contract. I couldn’t be allowed to have this, too.”
3. Bella punches Jacob in “Eclipse”
“Finally, he let go of my face and leaned away.
‘Are you done now?’ I asked in an expressionless voice.
‘Yes,’ he sighed. He started to smile, closing his eyes.
I pulled my arm back and then let it snap forward, punching him in the mouth with as much power as I could force out of my body.
There was a crunching sound.‘Ow! OW!’ I screamed, frantically hopping up and down in agony while I clutched my hand to my chest. It was broken, I could feel it.
Jacob stared at me in shock. ‘Are you alright?’
‘No, dammit! You broke my hand!‘”
2. The meadow scene from “Twilight”
“‘Isabella.’ He pronounced my full name carefully, then playfully ruffled my hair with his free hand. A shock ran through my body at his casual touch. ‘Bella, I couldn’t live with myself if I ever hurt you. You don’t know how it’s tortured me.’ […] He lifted his glorious, agonized eyes to mine. ‘You are the most important thing to me now. The most important thing to me ever.’”
1. The tent scene from “Eclipse”
“‘Please!’ Edward hissed. ‘Do you mind!’‘What?’ Jacob whispered back, his tone surprised.
‘Do you think you could attempt to control your thoughts?’ Edward’s low whisper was furious.
‘No one said you had to listen,’ Jacob muttered, defiant, yet still embarrassed. ‘Get out of my head.’
‘I wish I could. You have no idea how loud your little fantasies are. It’s like you’re shouting them at me.’
‘I’ll try to keep it down,’ Jacob whispered sarcastically.”

Where is the honeymoon?! That’s what everyone was waiting for during the first three books! That should be number one, but I agree with the rest. :]
I agree…the Honeymoon is one for me too. Also their first night together after Bella becomes a vampire. Her first hunt. I love all the moments though.
i do have one suggestion. One of the best parts should be when alice comes back in new moon. That is one of my favorite parts and i can almost recites the entire chapter. Maybe that should be a list, the top ten Alice moments/quotes. I’ll get to work.
my number one would be at the end of breaking dawn when she lets him in her head and shows him all the things she can. that was my “awwww” part.
I was transported back in time.. back to Forks.. back to my friends, Bella and Alica and Angela….
This list hit the nail on the head. As I read through the scenes I actually teared up a bit at the ending of Breaking Dawn and the Wedding Scene and laughed out loud when I read the scene of Bella punching Jake.
Ahhhh It’s time to pull the books back out…
I think the moment when Bella and Edward return from Italy and are talking in her bedroom should have been included. It’s basically when Bella starts telling Edward that he can’t let guilt affect him so much and it was her decision to jump off the cliff so he shouldn’t feel guilty about it. Then Edward says, “Isabella Marie Swan, do you believe that I asked the Volturi to kill me because I felt guilty? … Bella, I went to the Volturi because I thought you were dead … even if it wasn’t my fault, I would have gone to the Volturi … Don’t you remember anything I told you before? … Bella, I can’t live in a world where you don’t exist.” I think that was one of the climax moments for me. It just showed the extent of his love for her and how far he was willing to go if anything did happen to her.
I think the moment when Bella and Edward return from Italy and are talking in her bedroom should have been included. My ABSOLUTE favorite part in the whole series would be the last 3 pages of Breaking Dawn! I was crying so much haha!
BEST MOMENT IN SERIES: NEW MOON RACE TO CLOCKTOWER.

I agree with Sam, where is the honeymoon? The list is great, but the honeymoon needs to be included.

I also agree with Dottie- that is one of my faves too!!!! but not my favorite
WOW, interesting choices…..not my top 10, personally, but non the less still interesting. Hate to sound repeatitive, but yeah, where’s the honeymoon? Or their conversation after they’ve returned from Italy? Or Bella’s first night with Edward as a vampire?? Hmmm, perhaps a new list should be made…or we can just expand the list to Top 20, cause there’s just so much to choose from! SIGH…only 325 days til NEW MOON! WEEE!

Even though a couple of my favourite moments weren’t in there, that was still so much fun to read! So many memories.
I would have to put on my list:
-the chapter “Volterra”
-Edward’s proposal in Eclipse, I think its in the chapter “Compromise”
-The honeymoon. Well not the whole honeymoon, maybe just the first night.
-And the conversation between Edward and Bella in the chapter “Time”, in Eclipse. It’s really sweet.
I love that Bella punching Jake is in there, but I love it more when she tells Emmett that she punched a werewolf in the face. I nearly die of laughter everytime.
Well you can’t pick every single moment in the book but I think these were great picks for top ten!!! and For the record I loved the honeymoon scene but I think it’s not something you can depict in a couple of sentences
I think “why am I covered in feathers?” should be there, I mean, I was like why would he do that? oh yeah, the blood thing. I think there should be that part in new moon when he proposes for the first time:
-”All right, forget limits, if you want me to be the one-then you’ll just have to meet one condition”
-”condition?”…”what condition”
his eyes were cautious-he spoke slowly “marry me first”
I stared at him waiting… “okay, what’s the punch line”
he sighed “you’re wounding my ego, bella, I just proposed to you, and you think it’s a joke”…
…”oh C’mon”….”I’m only eighteen”
“well I’m nearly a hundreed and ten. it’s time I settled down”…
…”well, what if I did? what if I told you to take me to Vegas now? would I be a Vampire in three days?”
He smiled, his theet flashing in the dark “sure” …”I’ll get my car”
“dammit”….”I’ll give you eighteen months”
“no deal” he said, grinning “I like this condition”

What happened to when Bella rescues Edward in Volterra? Their first encounter, when Edward recites Romeo and Juliette, and says, ‘you still smell the same, mabey this is hell. Whatever, I’ll take it!’
One of my other favorite moments is when Bella watches Edward shrug out of his shirt on the honeymoon, then realizes a second later that all his clothes are on the palm tree…..shivers, shudders, oooooooh yeeeeeeah!
I loved all of them!!! #3 & #5 are two of my all time favorite parts! And I totally second doing a list that is all about Alice!
I agree with all of these, but I’d need a top 20 to add more.
For instance - I love the part where Bella drops her ’shield’ to allow Edward to hear her thoughts at the end of BD - I just tear up - almost as much as I do at the ‘I do’s’.
And I get a perverse pleasure out of Edward going over his top 10 nights with Bella in the tent, and, knowing Jacob was listening, ‘let slip’ that Bella had agreed to become his wife. If only Bella hadn’t been so ‘wet’ and demanded he go and bring Jake back…ewww
I would have to say that this does not encompass all the great parts in the series…mainly because if we made an all encompassing list it would be every word in each books! Although I think my favorite part is when Bella let’s her guard down at the end of Breaking Dawn! I love Edward’s reaction “Damnit!”
I’ve been saying it for ages… I want a Tear-a-page-a-day calendar with one scene like this every day.
Good choices, but not enough of the other characters in there! The hotel scene in Twilight where Jasper tells Bella that she IS worth the risk. And while sad, the point in New Moon where you begin to page through the months passing since Edward left. I didn’t see the almost empty pages coming and it was suprisingly powerful. At the end of New Moon where the family votes in favor of Bella becoming a vampire (loved Emmett’s answer). Alice steals the Porsche. Just some suggestions…
The honeymoon? Definitely my favorite. We waited for four books for them to finally have that moment. I do like this list and agree with most of it,but the tent part would not be my number one. Where did that come from?
My number one would be after Edward and the Cullens come back from Italy in New Moon. Where he is in her room and finally tells her that he has been agonizing just as much as she has and loves her just as much. I think this is when we all realized that they both were in love with each other the same way.
this list it great. yeah the honeymoon should be a part of it too. also when edward proposes to bella. i really like that part.

..my favorite part was when edward and bella realized that bella was pregnant.. lol.. i could just picture their faces! that was awesome.. of course i was practically jumping up and down screaming “No Way!!” lol.. i was so excited!! But i knew there had to be something special that was gonna make the fourth book top the rest.. haha
oh.. and i liked the part where bella punched jacob.. lol.. but not because she actually hit him.. but because he didn’t even feel it.. and he wouldn’t even have noticed if she didn’t start yelling about her broken hand.. lol.. that was hilarious.

This is an interesting list. Some I agree with and others I don’t. Like #1 the tent scene from Eclipse?! And Jacob imprinting on Renesemee? I loved that you included when Bella punched Jacob but you should’ve included Emmetts great line “Fall down again Bella?” “No Emmett I punched a werewolf in the face.” It’s great.
I would have to say that The Honeymoon definitely needs to be on the list. And also Bella getting pregnant, that was a shock, totally didn’t see it coming. (I didn’t at least.)And also basically the last 1/4 or so of NM when Edward and Bella are in her room and he’s trying to convince her that she’s not dead & that he’s there & LOVES her. And then the vote w/the Cullens.

BUT, I think Bella’s epiphany that Edward really loves her, should be in there somewhere, too.
That was the spot where everything fell into place, for me.
