MONTEPULCIANO UPDATE: CHRIS WEITZ AND CREW MEMBERS ON-SET
An extra for New Moon (and an avid Twitterer) has been tweeting her adventures in Montepulciano and has gotten some of the first pictures of director Chris Weitz on set. Also visible in the pictures is producer Wyck Godfrey and some of the other crew members participating in a pre-production meeting:

I’m really excited to see Chris and the crew on set, but I think the location and the background of the pictures made me even more excited. It all looks so beautiful and I am dying to see some Italy scenes. Too bad we all can’t be extras, but at least we’ve got a little insight into how great it looks! seeing these pics of italy is making me very excited!!! this is one of my favorite parts of the book and i know i will be at the end of my seat when this scene is being played on the movie screen..just one question…im assuming that Jamie’s and Michael’s parts have been recorded already??? i mean i didn’t see their names on the list…did they do all their stuff in vancouver??

Evie: I just read that Michael is on his way back to L.A. The MTV movie awards?? I’m going to be in L.A. on that day. Was trying to figure out if it’s LIVE or tapped. Either way I may wander down that way and see what I can see. =)

I have said it before; we all have but that word does not get old “EXCITED” that’s the word!!! I am excited to see these photos, OMG, now we have to think of a new word when we finally see Rob ,Kristen and the Volturi cast on set….ahhhhhhhh. I am so excited, I am so excited, breathe..

You know what I love. How the Twilighters around the world take care of eachother. When they filmed in the USA we posted pictures and news, the Canadians did the same and now Italians and even Germans. We rock as a fandom guys!
I love these pictures & all that we’ve gotten from Italy. This is the part of the movie I’ll be most looking forward to & I can’t wait to hopefully get pictures of the cast filming and on set. I would love to be an extra here, I’ve always wanted to go to Italy & how cool would that be?
