CONTACTMUSIC: ROB PATTINSON TURNS DOWN MAKING MUSIC FOR NEW MOON SOUNDTRACK?

Part of me wonders if he’s a little insecure of himself. He comes across as a kind of a shy type of fellow and probably doesn’t want something like his music that’s extrememly personal to him out there for all to hear and see. I think it’s a part of him that he wants to keep private because being a musician is a different creative outlet compare to being an actor.

I doubt it because we all know that he not trying start he career in music. And just be nice here him take in Edwards role more by putting in musical talent in. Be nice to have Jackson and Kristen contribute to. Awsome have paramore and muse and again.

I really wish he would reconsider. I really love the sound of his voice and it really works well with the movie. His voice is very sexy and really portrays the emotions he expresses while in character.

It’s his decision at the end of the day i guess us fans would love to hear his voice in new moon but he must have his own reasons, hopefull he might do something on eclipse fingers crossed

He MUST do it!! He’s the only one who can lend those broody, agony-filled sounds to the soundtrack!

Waah. But I understand. If he was going to contribute music he would want to take a lot of time to compose and record it right. Time he doesn’t have.

I would love Rob to be in the soundtrack no one can write songs like he does. Especially sad and depressing ones that would be perfect for New Moon. I am so excited Paramore are gunna write the title song, hope this source is reliable.

Nooooo! The first two songs fit in so perfectly with the story, I couldn’t wait to hear more. I guess I’ll just have to make do with the songs he’s done for How to Be. boo

Of course I wish he would contribute to the soundtrack. More than one song would be even better. He does seem to be a gentle soul and I think there is some insecurity there. He has learned (the hard way) that being attached to any of the Twilight projects guarantees a hot and heavy spotlight on your every move. Remember when he mentioned singing at some open mike nights at small clubs, I believe last year before his life was turned upside down. Even then, he used another name. I think his music is very personal, and he is protective of it.

I’m sure we all remember the recent comment from Rob that he was dropping music, or at least plans for a CD anytime soon. This was sad news indeed. I am happy to read that he does plan more music in the future, even if it isn’t connected to the movie(s).

I also agree his voice would be perfect for the tone I believe will prevail in New Moon. A real heartbreaker.

Lets hope Rob becomes more comfortable in his new life and shares his music with the world. I would personally LOVE to be able to buy an entire CD of his music. Sigh.

That’s a very old quote of Rob’s, relative to his initial hesitation to participate in the soundtrack for Twilight. I don’t think he’s made any statement about the possibility of participating in the New Moon soundtrack yet…just my two cents.

If this is true, I’m proud of Rob. I love him being a musician, don’t get me wrong; but now a days, all the actors are like “MAKE ME A ROCKSTAR!!!” So I think it’s cool that even though he’s good at music, he wants to sorta keep it on the down low

Melissa is spot on. Rob made those comments a long time ago and was referring to the Twilight soundtrack. I also agree with whoever said he was very protective of his music, it took Catherine forever to get him to agree to play his songs for her, and she said how shy and insecure he was about it. Sigh. Can he get any more swoon worthy? I wish he would contribute to the soundtrack, his sexy,haunting, emotionally raw voice would be perfect for the agony that Edward`feels and his songs were 2 of the highlights in Twilight.

I can respect his wishes not to participate in the soundtrack. He didn’t really want to participate in the Twilight soundtrack, but somehow coaxed into it. He is a great artist and musician, but I believe his music is very personal to him. He didn’t have any control over his involvement in Twilight soundtrack. I believe he wants more control in the New Moon soundtrack, therefore refused participation. The public and his fans should respect and accept his decision. It was never his intention to have a singing and acting career. I believe he wants to focus on his acting which he a very serious about. Perhaps, he will change his mind about the involvement, but I doubt it.

I’m happy he’s not going to do anything for New Moon. Don’t get me wrong, I love his voice and both of his songs from Twilight, but remember, as it has been stated before, he didn’t even know his music was in the movie at first. Catherine just put it in there and it shocked him when he heard it. I’m glad enough that he agreed to have his music in Twilight but it’s downright rude and inconsiderate to be asking his to write something else for New Moon. Neither one of his songs in Twilight he wrote particularly for the movie. He wrote them long before. I’m happy that he’s on the down low with his music. Granted I would have been happy had he given them something they could put in New Moon, but that is his choice and he doesn’t want to do it. People who are saying he has to or he better aren’t even considering the fact that he said no. It’s mean and inconsiderate. Mind you, I already said I love his music, but I am happy that he only wants a music career as his backup. Support Robert, don’t say that he has to do something he doesn’t want to.

I’ll stop ranting now. : )

Anyone found his version of Bella’s lullaby out there?

Wouldn’t it be great to have a song idea centered around the time that he was away from Bella. Only Rob’s voice and his brooding lyrics could portray that kind of agony. Oh well, maybe he will reconsider.

Uhh.. This makes me so very sad. I love his voice; I do agree with others that maybe he is insecure about himself.. He hates having all the pictures taken at the airports and on the streets, that’s evident.. He always hides behind his shoulder or arm. I don’t think he realized how many women and teens would go crazy after him. He definitely didn’t expect the fame so quickly, and honestly I don’t think he wants it, I don’t think he enjoys being the Brad Pitt for younger girls!!

For anyone interested, Rob’s movie How to Be finally has a distributor and the soundtrack is coming out sometime in March or April. He does have four songs on the soundtrack that he sings in the movie.

I think it would be hauntingly beautiful if would sing in the background when he is breaking up with Bella…He has an amazing talent, and it seems a shame not to share that with the world.

I LOVE Rob’s singing voice! His two songs on the twilight sountrack are my favourites. I think some people think that Let Me Sign and Never Think are my favourite songs just because ROB sings them. His songs fit twilight so well and he has got the sexiest voice EVER.

But at least Paramore are going to be on the New Moon sountrack XD I love Paramore and Rob Pattinson!
