COSTCO CONNECTION: NEW INTERVIEW WITH ROBERT PATTINSON

Costco Connection, the official magazine of Costco (yes, Costco), has a short new interview with ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson. They ask him about being an accomplished musician, his ‘long, beautiful vampire fingers’, and more. I like how Costco Connection ended the interview by asking Rob if he was “a lucky guy”. It seems like a sort of ‘out there’ and random question, but I love how humbly Rob answered it, and I think it was cute that he said he used to write in a diary about his luck.

    A short interview, but very revealing. I am amazed, but very glad to see that Rob isn’t buying into the ‘big star’ attitude.

    I have said before I believe he is essentially a gentle soul. I hope his success with the Twilight movies will put him in a position to do the kind of work (film or music) that shows his true self. His inner voice.

    I just hope the weight of his new fame doesn’t become too much. Rob we want to see more of you.

    Yes, I mean beyond Edward Cullen.

    And no more knocking your hands. We love them too.

    I love Rob’s interviews: even though we all know he’s not a big-shot movie star or anything of the sort, it’s always nice to hear it again.

    You’re right about the ending – I love how he thinks he’ll be doomed for the rest of his life because all of this is happening (not that I like that he thinks he’s doomed, just that I never thought of luck that way, haha).

    I never noticed that about his hands, either. I just knew he was a hand model, but nothing else.

    That was a really sweet interview. He has such an intriguing perspective of things. I think that incredible mind of his is the most attractive thing about him. Also, I loved the mention of Breathless, it’s probably one of my favourite movies ever. Godard is a genius.

    I am so happy to read articles where the questions aren’t the same, droll questions he answers all the time. I hadn’t heard/read anything about the “weird hands”…but I figured he had to learn “Bella’s Lullaby” because it appeared he was actually playing in the scene.

    He answers with such eloquence that isn’t always the case for others considered “young Hollywood”. The grace with which he answers these questions usually prompts the reminder that he is merely 22 (I say “merely” because I am eternally 29…LOL!!)

    I agree with Creamy…gentle soul, through and through. And I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this promising, young man!

    I have heard him talk about luck before in that context, he must really believe it!

    It’s funny about his hands. He seriously doesn’t see why we are all attracted to him – he takes any chance to play down the compliments he gets. Does he know we all find his humbleness attractive as well???

    Rob’s obviously never seen Nosferatu if he thinks all vampires are good looking!!

    Actually Rob has mentioned several times that he has seen Nosferatu. He was probably just going with the current generic thought on vampires.
    I can’t wait to get my mail because my Costco connection should arrive this weekend.
