E! ONLINE: SNL CAST WANTS ROBERT PATTINSON
E! Online caught up with some of the cast members from Saturday Night Live on the red carpet for the Emmy Awards. The main goal of the reporters? To get Rob Pattinson a spot hosting SNL this season.
The Funny Three—that would be Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig—all want a piece of Robert Pattinson. But really, who doesn’t?On the red carpet for the Primetime Emmy Awards, we fiercely kicked off our campaign to get Rob a hosting spot on Saturday Night Live.
He could be next year’s Justin Timberlake, you follow? Well, according to the SNL crew, they want R.Pattz, too:
We know you’re kicking off the season with Megan Fox, but how about getting Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson on to host?
Seth Meyers: We would love to get Robert Pattinson. How dare you tell me he’s the hot guy from Twilight, like I don’t already know!Seth Meyers, closet Twilight, or maybe just Rob Pattinson fan. We love it! So the powers that be at SNL would be into Rob hosting?
S.M.: Yes, absolutely.Think of all the ridiculous skits you could do with him. The possibilities are endless! That hair…
S.M.: We’re actually hoping if [Rob’s] not available, at least his hair will come by and host.If you all didn’t already heart the adorable Seth Meyers, bet you Twi lovers do now! Kristen Wiig is totally into the idea too.
We’re campaigning for Rob to host SNL this season. Will it happen?
Kristen Wiig: Oh! I don’t know. I don’t know about that yet!Would you give him the A-OK?
K.W.: Oh yeah, he’d be great!Two down…one more to go. Andy Samberg, whom we just want to snuggle, was busy making his way inside, but not before giving Rob the thumbs-up. Literally. When we asked A.S. real fast if he thought Pattinson would be able to hold his own on SNL, Andy gave the thumbs-up, nodded his head and mouthed, yessss.

I really hope this happens and Rob gets a chance. He’d do a fantastic job and they could have so much fun.

I’m not sure he should do it, I think he’s starting to get over exposed and honestly do you think the girls in the audience would ever stop screaming long enough to hear any of the show?
The humor, except for the political humor, on it sometimes is really not funny, at all. I would hate to see him be made to look foolish.
I also think it’s a ratings grab for SNL.
I love SNL it has slowed down alot, but when they bring in stars like him its really funny to watch. Were so used to seeing him as Edward I think it would be hilarious to see him do stupid things. I thinks it would be one of thier highest rated shows on top of it all! They should match him with Muse or someonone from the soundtrack!
I’m not sure that he would be comfortable doing it. Sure he is humorous and people think he would be great. The ratings would go off the scale, but it’s about how Rob, if he feels comfortable doing it. He is the nervous type….the screaming doesn’t really appeal to him, and I don’t blame him. He is an extremely talented individual who can sing, play instruments, act, the goes on. However, I really don’t seeing him agreeing to host the show. I’m not a big fan of SNL, I don’t think I would watch it even if he did host the show.
I don’t watch much SNL but if Rob was hosting it of course I would definitely watch it! It would be so fun to see him being goofy, but like Midori said, i highly doubt Rob would agree to it. And yes, Marianne, we won’t hear anything either due to all the screaming! LOL. But can you all imagine the ratings hike for that episode if it ever happens?! Maybe after Twilight it might be better for him to host something like that, he can even make fun of himself being Edward
