E! ONLINE: TAYLOR LAUTNER’S WEREWOLF WORKOUT

E! Online caught up with Taylor Lautner yesterday at the Kari Feinstein Golden Globe Style Lounge at Zune LA in Los Angeles and talked to him about the recent news that he’s confirmed to play Jacob Black in ‘New Moon’. They get his reaction to the news, his workout tips, and more.
Like I’ve said before, Taylor is already looking great and I think he looks miles different from how he did at this time last year. It’s clear how dedicated he is to his role, and I think that will show through in ‘New Moon’.
What did you think of this short interview? Are you convinced that Taylor will be able to pull of the role of Jacob?

He’s at a PERFECT age for the role. He’ll continue growing and aging as the movies come out. He’s got a perfect smile for it. He’ll do great! And he already has down the obviously checking out Bella, and hating Edward part of the role down!

Taylor seems like such a sweet kid. I think he will do a great job playing jacob- bellas’s ” personal sunshine.” He has such a great smile, and it does look like he has beefed up. He still has a baby face, but that matches perfectly to the character so I’m glad he’s staying on.
I totally LOVE him as Jacob. He’s so cute in how much he really wants this role, and I think because of that, he’ll do WONDERFULLY!!
Wow… he’s dedicated to making this role as great as possible. I’m sure he doesn’t want to let the Twilighters down, as well as new fans of the movie. I think he will do great!

I absolutely hated Jacob in the books but I may like him a bit more in the movies because I dont think I could hate Taylor!
I think it would be a massive mistake to change any of the main actors/actresses, the books have proven such a big hit that it would ruin the movies to have those kind of changes, i want to see the same faces through the movies and think Taylor was perfect as Jacob. X

The persistance he as shown to keep his part is exactly why he is the best one to play Jacob Black. Like Jacob he knows what he wants, works hard for it, and doesnt give up..if he can put that part of him into his character than he is going to be a hell of a Jacob.
I had my doubts about Taylor playing Jacob Black, but only because of his height…. Jacob is already over 6 foot in new moon so i didn’t think Taylor would be able to pull it off but after seeing the interview I’m convinced. He’ll play Jacob perfectly….
Taylor can definitely do this! He already looks and sounds older and the way he has handled himself during this time of uncertainty has only make me like him more. Good for him for showing Summit and the new director that he is the best Jacob!
Taylor’s a nice boy, but he’s no competition for Robert Pattinson as Edward. I’m sooo NOt convinced he can pull off his role as Jacob once he transforms. He needs more than just an abundance of muscles and a nice smile.
When you see Taylor in interviews, he has such a bubbly friendly personality, the kind that Bella learns to love before he turns into a werewolve.(not to mention that million dollar smile that Bella always talks about in the books) But I also believe he has an edge to him that will be brought out in his other side. He’s got it in him to be the Jacob with the heart,cocky attitude,and confidence.
No doubt, Taylor is bubbly! But, cute is not the same as sexy and Taylor, in comparison to Rob, is just not at the same level as he (Rob) is in that area. It’s not that they are supposed to be the same type of person, the lure of the story’s struggle is in their obvious differences, but they are supposed to be equal rivals and Taylor just doesn’t match up. He looks way too babyfaced and I have real issues with him not being Native American when there are some great Native actors who would have been great as Jacob. Taylor might have worked for the brief time he was in Twilight and perhaps prior to his transformation in New Moon, but after that, I just don’t see how he can possibly become the Jacob from the books, particularly Eclipse. No disrespect to him, but Taylor hasn’t even finished puberty yet and he’s up against a grown man!
I believe that he can do it. I trust what Stephenie Meyer has said, saying that everybody will be blown away by his performance.
I hope so, particularly since Stephanie’s first choice was Steven Strait. Summit is going to have to spen A LOT of money inorder to make Taylor look believable.
Most of the people’s comments say that he is gonna be perfect… I agree. I think that he will be perfect for this role and he looks like how I immagined Jacob . He has a gorgeous smile and for the height problem… it’s not such a big issue. He works so hard and I think it would be a shame to change actors.
I’ve never had a doubt that he was perfectly cast as Jacob. And I completely disagree that Jacob and Edward are supposed to be equal rivals. They are only “rivals” in Jacob’s mind. For Bella, Jacob has always been her best friend/baby brother type of relationship. While I’m not expecting any actor to meet the 6′5 height of the book Jacob, I’m willing to lose the height and age requirement for the character of Jacob. I’m more interested in the emotional believability of Jacob then him looking like a muscle builder.

OMG!! Taylor is the best, I loved Jacob in the books so I had high expectations for Jacob in Twilight. He did it perfectly for me, great decsion to make him part of New Moon! He is also gorgeous and could beat Robert Pattinson any day!
I think Kristin looks the part of Bella but she can not act, when I watched the movie I did not believe she loved edward. The last scene when shes pretend crying(yes thats what it looked like a bad high school play) I really wish they would re cast and even let the fans vote on our new Bella
