‘ECLIPSE’ FILMING UPDATE: VICTORIA AND RILEY

Lainey Gossip has brand new pictures straight from the set of Eclipse. It would seem that they were shooting some scenes between Victoria and Riley last night as we have Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel.

I wish these pictures were a little closer, I can’t decide what I think until I get a clear view of their faces. It will be interesting to see how Victoria and Riley portray their relationship on film, I never thought much about it when reading the book. It’s just so exciting to see more pictures from the set.
What do you think of this scene? Is this how you imagined Victoria and Riley together?

I never thought of Victoria and Riley having a romantic relationship. It seems a little creepy actually to think about in term of the actors’ age difference. But I must say Bryce looks a lot like Rachelle from this angle.
I’m surprised they’ve gone back to the light red hair that Victoria had in Twilight. I wonder what other changes David Slade will make to the appearance of the characters.
Adds more to “seeing” their relationship. In the book we only know she pretended to love him so this makes perfect sense. The hair looks okay but I need to see Bryce’s face especially the eyes to get a feel for her in the part. I did not Imagine them “together” but I thought they were. : ) No Pictures in my mind!!!
i think they made victoria’s hair waaay to curly i liked the wild look so much better, i’m going to miss rachelle..
as for the romantic aspect i don’t think it should have a lovers feel, it should be more cat and mouse like. riley meant nothing she just strung him along…i don’t like these pics and don’t think there should be much of a relationship portrayed for them two

I agree the relationship should be more cat and mouse like. victoria hangs the idea of a relationship over riley’s head but never really acts on it. i still dont know how i feel about bryce as victoria. i really liked rachelle. it is going to be hard to see someone else in this role.
People remeber the ending fight between victoria edward riley and seth. Riley thought that victoria loved him so it makes perfect sense for her to kiss him and besides he was a college boy she probably attracted him in a sexual way. So yes it should be romantic because if u read the books u would now that!! Victoria made riley think she loved him so obiusly there was some kissing involved. As for her hair… in New Moon the color and stieling is perfect. Its to curly and he toned down the res which I dont like. I need to see her face on to see if she can portray victoria. And I wanted tom felton to be riley but xabier is really growing on me!!! ;D
I guess they didn’t feel there was enough to tell from the book they had to add something that wasn’t. I wonder what part of the book will be left out so they can tell their own story. Way to go DAVID!!!!

but the hair isn’t doing it for me. It’s too short and curly. Rachelle’s was long and more wavy like fire. meh, we will see I guess.
I’m going to cry the first time i see a clear picture of Bryce as Victoria. I don’t have anything against her personally, but i love rachelle to death and it kills me that victoria will have a new face, as it were.
beyond that, i think they should have made her hair longer and more red, the way it seems to be in New Moon. Just because its a new actress doesnt mean they can change her entire physical appearance.
For some reason i always imagined riley much younger. I know in the book victoria seduced him, but i just never imagined thier ralationship like that. I always imagined riley’s affection for her leaning more towards the kind someone would give to a much looked-up-to mentor rather than love interest. *shrugs* but that was my interpretation.
it really bothers me that they are both wearing BLACK! Stephenie Meyer always prided herself in the fact the her vampires dont look like vampires, and they DON’T wear black!
Riley is Victoria’s rebound! She’s manipulating him to do what she wants him to do.
i haven’t got anything against bryce, but to replace an actor in the series with another is just wrong, rachelle is victoria, and should be. i only hope that bdh can pull victoria convincingly enough, and yeah, the hair in new moon was better
Victoria and Riley’s relationship was romantic/sexual, that’s how she strung him along and played on his naivety. Edward tells him “She doesn’t love you…You’ve read the reluctance in her eyes, suspected a false note in her promises. You were right. She’s never wanted you. Every kiss, every touch was a lie.” Victoria then retorts to Riley “you know I love only you.” Anyway, they clearly had this type of relationship, but because the story is from Bella’s pov, we never got to see much of it. I look forward to this being played up in the movie. I think it’s necessary visually to bring more depth to their characters. I do miss Rachelle though.

I agree with carol. Isn’t there enough material from the book? Did they have to go and add stuff to it? What material are they gonna cut to put their own stuff in?
