Robert Pattinson this, Robert Pattinson that. You can’t leave your house anymore without being assaulted by Robert Pattinson. The name haunts me worse than any tween vampire ever could. Robert Pattinson is all anyone cares about. He’s like Brangelina, only stronger, because there’s only one of him. That’s right. Robert Pattinson is a Hollywood Power Couple all by himself. Let me articulate what’s getting on my nerves about Robert Pattinson.8) Nobody is this humble! This guy has to have an ego or he wouldn’t even be able to leave the house in the morning. Personally, I know people who work the graveyard shift at the local gas station and think they’re something special. Here’s a guy in one of the hottest movies around and he refuses to talk himself up.
7) He doesn’t have a girlfriend. He’s 22 and he’s not tied into a relationship. He doesn’t have a ball or a chain he has to answer to at the end of a long day of filming. What nerve.
6) He’s nice to fans. This guy is nice to his fans, a rare trait if ever there was one. I prefer surly, anti-social celebrities. They’re easier to hate on.
5) He’s had it too easy in Hollywood.
4) He doesn’t get involved in unnecessary drama. He has no bitter custody case going on. He isn’t under arrest for DUI. Compared to Shia LaBeouf this cat is unnatural.
3) Girls love him just a bit too much.
2) He’s not going away any time soon. Right now Pattinson can do no wrong. Everybody wants him in their next movie so he can afford to be selective and choose whatever project he wants. We’ll all have to deal with him for years!
1) His new haircut. He’s supposed to have long vampire hair. Now he looks like a Young Republican.
I know some of you will say “You live in a Free World, if you choose to, you can ignore Robert Pattinson.” Uh, no I can’t. It’s not in the cards. Sure I’d love to be a Robert Pattinson hater, but it just doesn’t seem to be in the cards. So far the guy has managed to keep his overall image so positive, there aren’t any chinks in his armor. So far.
HAHAHA This whole article cracked me up and I wanted to share it with you guys. Come on, with Rob, it’s overkill. It gets so old.
And you can’t hate on him, he too damn cute to hate on. He’s too damn nice. Like get drunk and throw a hissy fit or something.

Yea, I agree. I found myself wanting to find something HUMAN about him. The previews that I saw for Little Ashes have me wondering if he’ll lose some of the hormonal reactions, at least from the girls. Now that I think of it maybe he’ll now also have male screaming fans. YUK!!!!!

I love rob but i agree on all those points (or on the way i see them):
8) He’s humble. Good thing! At least he is different from all those cocky actors who think they own everything including poeple. That only proves how much of a great guy he is.
7)He doesn’t have a girlfriend. That means he’s still free. Which means all my hopes are not dead! (LOL)
6)He is nice to fans. Yeah! He’s cool enough not to go crazy about crazy girls screaming (seriously… we probably will be the reason all twilight actors will turn deaf before they turn fifty).

3) Wanna bet? The author is a jealous man who which he could be Rob. Why? Maybe he thinks that Rob shouldn’t be the one that girls like so much because he doesn’t take advantage of it. But the thing is we (crazy girls screaming) love him even more (if possible) because of that.
2) So we’re gonna see quite a lot of Rob Pattz in the followinf years. This only fact lightens my life and warms my heart a little bit more. More movies with that cute-face of a good actor (who is a nice guy) is just what the world needs… or at least what all crazy girls screaming need. He’s talented and he’s not cocky about it. And he is seerious about his job. It’s not a surprise that directors want to work with him.
1)I don’t necessarely approve the whole haircut thing, but seriously… republican. First, how can you see that in a haircut!!! Second… hum.. Obama has shorter hairs than McCain. Third, it’s Rob and even though I regret the long Edwardly locks he is still the talented actor not cocky nice guy who stole my heart as he did for millions of crazy girls screaming around the world.

okay, what’s wrong with not having a tainted name? shouldn’t we be happy that he’s not an obnoxious ass hole? and honestly who cares if he’s all everyone talks about? he’s a star on the rise; it’s only natural to be “the talk of the town”- or in his case the talk of the country. i’d say if you have the nerve to hate someone because they are kind and have an irrevocably good name then you should really think about crawling under a rock and dying cause Rob isn’t going anywhere any time soon. he will be in a lot of movies and that is something that noone but the director and movie personel can change so get used to it or turn the other cheek. get a life, and live it vindictive nimrod!

hahah omg this article is soo true! me and my friends talk about him always in eighth period french.his beautiful hair cut off l laughed at that one becuase like that was such a tragidy in school!! hahh but l think it is good that rob is not getting in any trouble and is not full of himself..for me he is a different kind of “attractive” then like let’s say Zac Efron because he like doesn’t go and have a showmance with his co-stars like Zac and Vannessa which is so annoying becuase like people say they are together but like it makes it look suspicious becuase Zac and Vannessa are dating in highschool musical 1-3 so yeah but l love rob pattinson and l think he is pretty amazing becuase he is the right amount of famous like really famous but not like making himself have a bad rep and be in every single article about celebs and drugs or alchohal or relationships.
I’m really glad this whole conversation came up. I was just thinking about this today on my commute home from my less than glamorous job (yes, even I have Rob on the brain too much) but I had read one of the posts earlier about what his friend Camilla Belle had said about him being unhappy with things. She was saying the studio sent him to media training, which is true (see clip of Ashley Greene referring to media training) part 2:18

I think the powers that be knew what a huge draw from girls of all ages this would be, and let’s face it they promoted it very well. It only makes sense that the cast of relative unknowns (or lack of A list box office draws) meant that they would have to push this film and it’s actors to an almost Beatle type frenzy. I have to say they did an outstanding job. The box office numbers, soundtrack sales, posters, t-shirts, buttons, you name it. Anything that you could plaster their likeness on and mall tours. OMG, I feel like I’ve slipped back into the days of the New Kids on the Block. (If they start selling Twilight bed sheets, I’m so over it.)
I honestly don’t think that Rob or Kristen had any idea what kind of atomic bomb the studio was setting up. All the while the studio was sticking to the plan and making sure that when the fuse was lit their future interest were covered. At least that’s the way I see it. They didn’t want any fall out to dampen demands to the line up of follow up movies. I have to say, this is not a reflection of Stephenie Meyers. I love her writing. I also have to confess that I hadn’t heard of the books before the movie. I knew of Rob’s work and that was the initial interest. Only after the movie did I get sucked into the series.
I think the most frustrating thing for all of these actors, but especially for Rob is that when this started it was one thing, and now it’s turned into something totally different. Sure, what person does not want to have a successful career doing what they enjoy? But when you start to feel like someone’s puppet, you start to wonder if this is something you really wanted? I could see being unhappy. What has stuck out in my mind is the video of Rob and Nikki packing boxes into his car shortly after he had cut his trademark locks getting ready to go back home to London.

I watched this and I cringed. I have my own psychobabble ideas of why he cut his hair. And looking at the way it looks here it was done at home with a pair of shears. Not by a professional stylist. What was that all about? Had he reached his limit? I couldn’t say that I blame him.
I watched that video and it’s there more than any other video that I’ve seen of him, you see the real Rob. Because yes girls, he is a real human being, not a fantasy boyfriend who just happens to be a vampire. I see a smart, thoughtful, well mannered young man who was raised that way. Good for him and good for his parents. I also see a boy who is tired, mentally and physically, insecure and awkward, overwhelmed, and full of doubt over if this is the kind of future he wants.
Don’t get me wrong or even become a hater. I’m not dogging Rob just truly concerned. On this day, January 22 I’ve thought about Heath Ledger and the whole that he left in this world, his family, friends, and fans. Rob reminds me a lot of Heath just in his quite personal spirit. Heath never liked to be in the spotlight either. You can argue and say that it’s what they want. Who wouldn’t want to be rich and famous, but don’t you think that maybe it’s a coping skill for things that they lack in their private life? I don’t know anything for certain because I do not know anyone personally. This is only my observations and opinions.
Rob like Health and Johnny Depp have chosen film roles that are as different as night and day. I get the feeling that quality not quantity is more important to him.
I agree with dawnoelle in the since that the swells of screaming teenage girls will subside once this years “How to be” and “Little Ashes” are released. Not your typical teen dramas. “How to be “makes me laugh a little to think that maybe in my own crazy head it’s a closer look at the real Robert Pattinson. (Not only do I like the bad guys, I love a good dork) I hope that Rob continues to make such movies. I love Twilight and wait breathlessly for the next visual installments. I just honestly hope that Rob can stay true to himself and what makes him happy. Not at all concerned with who he’s dating, does he go on drunken benders, or if he has ever flipped off a fan. I don’t really see that happening. He’s just a hot lovable dork.

Man! I got so crossed-eyed from reading everyone’s comment! About his haircut, yes, it was probably was done at his LA apartment with clippers and/or shears (as mentioned above). For the author of his “8 Things I hate about Robert Pattinson”, I felt “okay, whatever.” So you have your opinion, your own view of what he appears to be to you and perhaps you just want his fans to ’see’ from your angle. Robert is nothing like any movie star at all. He is completely different from his peers. I admire that and I think it was a good idea he went to “media training” because those pap’z will EAT anyone alive! Heck, if you fell in the street they will be there to take your fall “picture” w/o helping you up! When we learned from a Perezhilton.com rep that he had literally lay low by heading to London and appearing at an open mic in a SoHo pub… now we know he is alive and safe and just wish we were there!

I couldn’t agree more! One of the reasons why he’s being loved and admired by soo many people is because he’s humble, honest and true to himself. I remember in his interview with Collider.com, he was asked if his Harry Potter experience prepared him for the whole pop culture phenomenon of ‘Twilight’? This was his reply:
“Having it die down afterwards. Having it being the hot thing for a few months and then it just going and no one giving a ####. It helps. It helps once you get used to it and know that no one will care. Once you’re immune to failure it’s like nothing matters.”
It only proves how “grounded” he is and not letting the fame and frenzy get into his head.

Boy, such criticism…he can’t help who he is..good looking and personable. He has such a great sense of humor. So he is 22 and he doesn’t have a girlfriend, what the big deal in that? He just hasn’t apparently found the right girl. He is humble..he doesn’t go out much because of being recognized, but that goes with the territory. He isn’t perfect and he knows it. He very fortunate that things are going well for him. I’m a fan, but I never been to a book signing and anything public like other fans. He’s going to be around for awhile even after the Twilight saga is completed.

I had never seen the video with Nikki before and could not watch the whole thing. He obviously was not enjoying the attention and he looked like he was “over” the whole publicity thing.
Wouldn’t you hate to know YOUR every move, spoken word, gesture and expression is seemingly “stalked” by millions? We have all done/said things that we would be horrified to become public. What pressure that must be!
