ET CANADA: MEET THE NEW STAR OF ‘NEW MOON’ - CAMERON BRIGHT

ET Canada has a short new interview with one of the new cast members of New Moon, Cameron Bright, who was cast in the role of Alec opposite Dakota Fanning. When asked about playing Alec, Bright says he’s ‘ready’ for the role, and ‘ready to be something else’:
I’d never heard of Cameron before he was cast, but after looking at pictures and his past work, I think he’ll be great for New Moon. He does bear a resemblance to Dakota Fanning, and I think they’ll be amazing together.
What do you think of Cameron Bright? Is he how you pictured Alec? Do you think he will look good opposite Dakota?

I’ve always love him, when the poll for alec came out I voted for him, he’s amazing. he has done movies like ultraviolet with mila jovovich and birth with nicole kidman.. I just lov him..
I’ve seen his previous films and I thought he is a very good actor. I couldn’t believe he grew up so fast and he is cute!! Can’t wait to see him in New Moon as Alec. He and Dakota does look like brother and sister! New Moon casting have exceed my expecations and I’m very thrilled by their choices thus far!

He looks like an akward teenage boy to me. I havent seen those movies you guys have mentioned. Im sure he’ll do fine. To me, Alecs power is scarier then Janes. He cuts off all your senses, like your in a dark muted hole…shudders!
I really think this is a great choice for Alec,and I also think that all the new cast members will be perfect for this movie,I cannot wait to see it all come together,I believe this film will live up to all of the hype that it is creating,has anyone seen Dakota Fanning on set yet? Where is she? I guess she’ll be tagging along when they hit Italy. It must have been so hard for niiki to leave all her friends behind while they still have months of filming to do,she seems so cool.Anyway,Thank you for all of the New Moon postings,they have all been great!!!
i think he’s got the eyes for it… there’s something sinister in some of the pics i’ve seen online of him… good choice… i’m still not sold on fanning but i’ll have to wait and see!
I think he’s awesome.. I’ve thought him all along.. he does such a good “bad guy” role in the butterfly effct.. when the polls came out forever ago I voted for him.. I’m so excited!!
I hadn’t heard of him yet, but when I saw his pics on IMDb, I could definately see him as Alec. There is kind of a resemblence between him and Dakota Fanning. But I can’t figure it out, my friend and I are fighting over whether Jane and Alec have white blonde hair or black. Can someone help me??

I am so psyched to see Cameron Bright in New Moon. I’m a big fan of his….he was so intense as a youngster and now older, cuter & more mature ( if thats possible - did you see him in Birth? He was like an adult in a kids body…which was kind of the point, but he really was excellent ) I know he is perfect for “Alec”. He’s got the disturbing/scary thing down, too, which is evident in both The Butterfly Effect and Godsend. AND THOSE AMAZING EYES OF HIS…..he will have no problem being a beautiful vampire … even if he has to be an evil one
Before I say anything I want to say Cameron Bright is hot!!!!!! I also think he is a great actor. I’ve only seen him 1 other time when he was in Ulrtaviolet and he was amaizing. He looks just like the Alec I pictured and he will be the best vampire in the volturi
