ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: SNEAK PEEK AT ‘TWILIGHT’ GRAPHIC NOVEL

Last week we told you about the exclusive news that Entertainment Weekly brought us regarding the in-the-works Twilight graphic novel. Today, Entertainment Weekly is bringing us even more – another sneak peek!

Twilight fans have devoured the books, flocked to the movie, and snapped up the DVD. So why not a graphic novel? The publishhers behind Stephenie Meyer’s smash teen vampire series are preparing two volumes drawn by Korean artist Young Kim and heavily edited by Meyer. “For years I’ve had many fans ask me if there will be a graphic-novel version of Twilight,” Meyer said in a statement. “I know they’ll be just as thrilled as I am for this new interpretation.” The graphic novel is essentially Meyer’s brain on paper. “Stephenie is reviewing every page, every panel,” says Kurt Hassler, publishing director for Yen Press, an imprint of Hachette Book Group. “People should feel like they are getting a rare glimpse inside her vision of the property.”

Wow, the pictures look amazing! I’ve never been a fan of this sort of thing in the past, but I can’t help but love it already. I’m really looking forward to seeing the final product for this and I love that we have something new to look forward to in addition to the films.

OME! i love graphic novels, and love twilight as well!
Not to mention I’d finally get to see what S.M REALLY saw in the characters, and how she imagined everything, and I want to compare it to how I imagined it.
Its way awesome, can’t wait.

Cannot wait =)…definately glad that Stephenie Meyer is keeping such a close eye on every page, it’s still hers (as it should be)

I love twiligh so much, my favorite part of the books is that I can really connect to it in my own life (of course im not in love with vampire), but when I read it, i could really visualize the characters in my mind without seeing rob or kristen. I think that with the graphic novel, I will be able to see what they should look like, and maybe it will help me visualize while im reading the series again.

So does this mean that the woman who was planning to publish her fan-fic of post-Breaking Dawn will no longer be able to (personally, I’d be happy if she were stopped legally)? The point of contention for copyrighting Meyers’ characters was that they had never been drawn… they’ll be drawn now.

i agree with everyone else… i want to see how S.M imagined her characters to look like. How they looked in her dream.

I don’t know. to me it seems they mad bella amazingly pretty (which shes not really, shes plain), Edward super hot, and then jacobs like ehh. Like they’re more for edward/bella and jacob’s just there and not as pretty.

i loooooooooved the books but the movie sucked! i cant wait to read this.the charechters are exactly how i imagined them.:) i do not agree with JENN she said that bella’s plain but bella just thinks she is but shes really supposed to be hot. thats why all the guys like her.
