ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY REVIEWS THE TWILIGHT SOUNDTRACK
Entertainment Weekly has posted their review of the Twilight soundtrack, and they gave it an awesome grade!
Here’s what they had to say about it:
The big-screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s sexy-vampire series could have gone the classic heart-of-darkness route (Bauhaus, where art thou?). Instead, they’ve tapped Alexandra Patsavas, the music supervisor for The O.C., Grey’s Anatomy, and Gossip Girl, and she aptly applies her zeitgeisty sensibility, pulling exclusive cuts from acts like Paramore (who penned the anthemic ”Decode” and ”I Caught Myself” specifically for the film), along with previously released tracks by Linkin Park, the Black Ghosts, and Muse. It comes off as a sort of well-wrought goth lite: not so much hardcore bloodsucking as nicely black-nail-polishy. A-
Wow! I am shocked that it was given an A-! That is very high praise from EW and I think it will boost soundtrack sales a bit.
