Entertainment Weekly has posted part two of their five part interview with Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen in Twilight. In this video, they talk to him about how he read, ran, and secluded himself to prepare for his role in Twilight.

Wow! Rob really went all out to prepare for his role. I love all the things he did to get into character – it shows his determination and dedication to the film. I wasn’t aware that he had to do so much physical preparation to fit the mold of Edward, but I guess that makes sense.

Were you surprised to learn by anything in this interview? Did you learn anything new?

I live in Portland and i didn’t know about Twilight when they were filming here. I could have run into Robert at Powels bookstore. That would have been soo cool. Damn Me!! LOL

I didn’t think he would need to go to the gym so much to prepare for Edward – Stephanie describes him as being “lanky” and from HP4 that fit Rob pretty well. I wonder what “Virgil” is – I thought it was an old textbook people read in the early 1900′s, but maybe I’m wrong. I agree with Michele, I loved how he said “ambrosia” – I’ll go make him a cheeseburger right now!

See, here’s the thing (for me anyway)….

I think he’s great, I think he’s a wonderful Edward, BUT, to freely admit that he didn’t work out….not a smart move…Isn’t Edward supposed to have, like, ripped abs, etc., or was that just the image in MY head?! Idk…

he is just perfect. I’m pretty obsessed. Plus, my cousin is producing a movie that Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), so hopefully she’ll take me to the premiere and i can meet him. haha. (and meet rob
