FAN MADE ‘NEW MOON’ POSTER

I love this version! I think a silvery moonlight color is much better too. Both Edward and Bella look more heartbroken, instead of seductive. And by moving Bella’s arm it looks more like Jacob is overly protective of her than her clinging to him. I think a silvery moonlight color is much better too. Awesome Job!

Definitely like Cindy’s version better. I ‘feel’ this poster. I wasn’t at all ecstatic about the official release. Cindy captures the “angst” instead of the “aloof” look in the official poster.

I love Cindy’s version. I prefer the color of the real one, but the feeling of this one is so much better. It is as it’s supposed to be – Edward is in pain for leaving her, and She is longingly looking for him. Wonderfully done.

When I saw the real New Moon one sheet,it really bothered me how Bella looked. Like she was definitely more into Jacob than Edward. I really like this one better.It looks like Bella wants Edward,but Jacob is trying to prevent her from going back to him.

Also, there is way more sadness in Edward and Bella’s eyes in Cindy’s version. I think she captured their feelings,on their faces much better.

I thought I liked this better than the real one at first, because of, as you said, the connection it shows between Bella and Edward, but the more I look at it, the more i think it just looks like jacob is standing in the way of bella and edward being together, which isn’t really the case.

I love this..It’s absolutely gorgeous..You really get how Edward is feeling and how angry Jacob is about what he did…It’s fab..Double thumbs up..

i definitely prefer bella in this one, shows much more heartbreak and sadness in her eyes, which is the essence of new moon in the first place.

Yep facial expressions….definately an improvement – made it warmer and more telling. Color…..Like the warmer tones on the Actual one-sheet. The black makes the shot “colder”.

When i first saw it i was like. what’s the big deal? all she did was change the colour then i saw there faces.
I like Bella’s expression. It gives you the more feel to it but Edward’s face just makes me sad.

Just awesome, but i think the official one is really good, and it’s too late, so i don’t think there’s any point to complain towards it.

It makes Jacob look like the bad guy, but I love bella’s expression. But if jake and edward were to be stern in the face, it’d show the emotion of the book :]

Bella’s face looks so much better, not meaning to be harsh but her face was bothering me it looked too fake, but hey its still pretty good.

sorry to say guys, but i like the offical one a little better, and yeah i can see the differences in them its bella her arm is moved and one is black and white (That sorta stands out)

but that just my opinion.

I really like Cindy’s version and the silvery moonlight is a great color, the look on Bella’s face definitely shows more pain, I also like the fact that Cindy removed Bella’s hand from Jacob’s arm. I still think though, that Edward should NOT be in the front, New Moon
is more about Bella and Jacob. But well done Cindy.

i think cidy’s take is amazing i think bella looks more broken which i always saw her in my head when reading the books and Edward looks just as tortured as ever, i think in cidys version you see the craving in all three charaters faces which i love

I think that should be the offical new moon poster! You can really see how heart-broken Bella is and see that Edward is hurting too!

i think it’s great, there was something just not right in the official one with the way bella looked, she was too, i dunno the word, but it just wasn’t right. this however, this i feel gets across the true emotions of whats going on.

i think he just looks like he’s trying to protect her, and as for the expressions i htink there dead on, cause he didn’t want to leave her, he felt he had too, so he would be depressed, and i thin i get that too. by the way your poster is pretty sweet as well

i totally love Cindy’s version more than the official one
it shows their feelings, and their stances also tells us more about them
i love Bella’s expression, its much more real as compared to the look on the official one, over there, it just looks like she’s staring at the camera.

I like Cindy’s version, however, I think it’s kinda obvious that Kristen’s face has been messed with, which kinda ruins it for me.

This poster is way better than the official. When I first saw the official summit poster I thought it was just fantastic. I could’nt have been happier. I thought the stances of Bella, Jacob and Edward was great to show how he comes in between them not only in New Moon but also in the next two books. But after I enlarged the official and Cindy’s clicking back and forth between the two to compare everything I am 100% dedicated to Cindy’s. Her’s has much more feeling to it and I didn’t know the origional was missing anything until I saw Cindy’s, great job!

I think this one’s the best one. There’s a sense of connection and longing between Bella & Edward that’s almost tangible. Great job

I liked that in the original, Bella had her hand on Jacobs arm.. it showed that she NEEDED him for strength. The expressions in Cindy’s rendition are great between Bella and Edward, definitely shows that pain and angst.

I do like the coloring of the original as well, the warmer… sunshine-esque like Jacob is to Bells.

I like this version better. The facial expressions capture both pain and conflict – as Bella looks past Jacob to Edward and as Edward looks toward Bella not only with a saddened look but almost kind of resigned. Excellent, nice job. It makes me so sad though…..! I guess thats even more proof its good b/c it is supposed to be sad.

I think they could have done a better job on Kristen in the original sheet though. I think she looks more like herself in the Twilight poster.

Love the expressions of Bella and Edward in this one-you should be able to see the angst and you don’t see it at all in the official poster! And taking Bella’s arm off of Jacob was exactly what was needed. Love this one better.

I love this poster! This exactly captures the feeling of despair felt by both Edward & Bella!! Plus moving Bella’s arm definitely makes it look more like Jake is her protector & not like she’s choosing Jake over Edward. Job very well done!!!

Oh wow! I love the colors on the original one, but the connection between Bella and Edward is much better on this one. It tells more of a story, and shows more how Bella is destroyed. Love it!

I love this poster, much more than the official one. I love how her expression is more sad, and that it show a little on his face that he’s sad to be leaving her too. It’s the way the original should look. Their expressions anyway.

Wow, I enlarged this one sheet and literally started to tear up just staring at it and thinking back to chapter 3 of New Moon. Looking at this one sheet and looking at the pain on Edward’s face that’s what was missing from the original and the same goes for Bella. In the original she looked so aloof. I didn’t hate the original poster but I definitely thought it needed more emotion from Edward and Bella which is what this poster has plenty of. Excellent job!

Oh no no no! I think that I am one of the few that actually love the Summit official one sheet. I like that fans are trying new things, but I do not like Bella or Edwards’s expressions on this. I love the one sheet where Bella is looking fierce (not seductive). I like how Jacob is angry and Bella’s hand is on his for support. I like how Edward looks somber but still upset. Definitely a fan of the original.

I don’t know which one I like better because I like bits and pieces from both from the original I like the coloring and I like the body positions but from the new one I like the pain in Bella and Edward’s faces because they look like they are longing to be together and I think it captures more of the story line as opposed to the guys just looking tough and strong and bella looking gorgeous and seductive which I think was the main focus of the original poster.

I like Bella’s face here better then the original because it describes the way Bella felt.
I don’t think Edward’s face is that fitting,I like the original one more. Because the original one includes everyone, because Edward is sort of challenging Jacob with that look, but is also in pain.

I really like the one that Cindy did. I think that Bella and Edward should look more pained like this one than in the official one because this book is all about how Bella grieves for Edward and Edward grieves for her. And I agree that Bella not clinging to Jacob’s arm fits the book better, it makes it seem like he’s protecting her instead of her clinging to him because she wants to stay with Jacob, because we all know she’s rather be in Edwards arms.

One thing I don’t like about either of them is Edward in the front of the poster. This book is so much more about Jacob and Bella than Edward. He is a figment of her imagination for most of the book and Jacob is so real and such an important part in helping Bella be happy.

I am torn between the 2 colors, I like the color of Cindy’s because it fits better with the first on, but I like the rusty brown color because New Moon is more about the wolves and that color is like the color of Jacob’s fur and it all ties in with nature and the earth so yeah.

All in all I think the official poster could’ve been better, Summit should’ve gotten a bunch of Twilighters to design it, looking at all the fanmade ones that are AMAZING

I agree with most of you guys.. this Bella’s and Edward’s expression is so right on.. with the books. And also the little but important detail of Bella’s arm.. is better cause it totally says something different, again more like the book. And it looks like Bella is looking and longing for Edward. The opposite of the “official” poster. Loved it.

SOOOOO much better than the official one. Cindy, you made EXACTLY the changes that needed to be made to make this poster truly capture the essence of New Moon. Everything from actually making Bella look like she’s FEELING something to the subtle-but-necessary change to her arm placement (that was poorly worded, but you know what I mean)… it’s all dead-on (no pun intended). I’m beyond impressed. Honestly, I’m blown away. Any way we can convince Summit to hire you to do the Eclipse poster?

On this poster Edward seems in pain and Bella too. In the official one Edward doesn’t have any emotion. Actually, I like them both 50/50.

It’s not that I hate the official poster. It’s wonderful. But Bella looks…well. She’s supposed to be unraveling, loosing it, desperate enough to hear Edwards voice. It looks like their concentrating on the love triangle verses Edward and Bellas seperation. I hope not.

I prefer the original. This version is a little flat for my taste.

This one is lovely, but very Team Edward in bias (not that that’s all bad). I prefer the original, though, only because Bella’s “fierce” expression reflects the heroic role she takes at the end of NM as Edward’s savior–and it shows the strength she regains with Jacob’s help. Seeing her crushed and trying to push Jacob away only reflects part of the novel, not its entire arc.

Team RCatz – I have to disagree. Bella’s expression in the original isn’t “fierce,” it’s blasé. Worse than that, Kristin doesn’t even look like she’s in character. With the hair and make-up, it’s more Kristin than Bella.

Bella does have a lost, hollow, forlorn presence, even with Jacob. All the characters comment on it. The ENTIRE time he was gone, Bella feels the hole that Edward left. She longs for him so much that she puts herself in danger to hear his voice… in her head. She knows she’s being emotionally unbalanced and she doesn’t care. That she is so DESPERATE to see him again, she is willing to risk DEATH… THAT made her strong enough to go to Italy.

I really like Bella in this picture — it shows her pain and turmoil.

Ok well….I do like this one I guess. But the first one is still better to me. The first one shows how the three are after Edward leaves. Edward is supposed to have that regretful, tortured look which he does. And Bella is supposed to be like a zombie. I mean sure she’s yearning for Edward to come back, but after he’s gone, she doesnt really do anything. So having her look at Edward doesn’t really show how zombie-like she becomes. And Jacob standing in the middle is perfect because he’s in the middle of the two, and he’s standing protectively in front of Bella, showing that he will do anything to keep her safe. Also, I think its better to have Bella’s hand on Jacob like the original because she does start to fall for him if you all remember correctly. She almost decides to go with Jacob until Edward called. So, I still like the original better and thats the one that is going to be put up in movie theaters so we all just need to get used to it.

one question cindy… why were you not chosen to make the new moon poster??? i LOVE it! it reall makes sense cause edward isn’t angry at bella. he loves her too much. and bella is sad about being away from edward. ok maybe sad wasn’t the perfect word to describe it but u guys know what i mean so yeah. and sorry but in my opinion, and i do know that people will be against this but this is my OWN opinion, jacob is pretty much a bad guy in this book…

The look on Edward’s face makes me want to cry. I don’t think I could look at this poster throughout the release of the movie and promotional stuff. You caught the essence of it perfectly Cindy, it’s just too heartbreaking.
