FANDANGO WILL SELL TWILIGHT TICKETS ON HALLOWEEN
MTV.COM ia reporting that FANDANGO will begin selling tickets for Twilight on Halloween.
Twilighters, mark your calendars — starting this Friday (October 31), Fandango is making advance tickets for “Twilight” (out November 21) available. And just because it’s Halloween, a special trick-or-treat is available with every “Twilight” ticket purchase: a free download of “Bella’s Lullaby (Remix).”“Halloween is the ideal time to launch advance ticket sales for ‘Twilight,’” Fandango’s Chief Operating Officer Rick Butler told MTV News. “With only three weeks to go, it just makes October 31 an even more exciting day for Twilighters.”
Fandango expects “Twilight” showtimes to sell out quickly, since the movie was voted in a recent survey the most anticipated film of the season. In a separate survey of more than 5,000 moviegoers (95 percent of whom were female), 92 percent of respondents told Fandango they would see “Twilight” on opening weekend. 85 percent said they plan to see the film more than once. And 56 percent are planning to see the movie with a group of friends.
“There is so much fan anticipation about seeing the novel translated to the big screen,” Butler said, “and the online trailers and clips have illustrated that the filmmakers have apparently delivered the goods. It’s not just a phenomenon for young moviegoers. It’s entirely possible that parents [i.e. 'Twilight Moms'] will be buying tickets along with their kids, since 42 percent of respondents in our ‘Twilight’ survey are over the age of 25.”
The advance tickets will be available starting at 12:01 a.m.
Those who can’t wait until opening weekend (some theaters have already started listing midnight showtimes on Fandango, such as this one at the aptly named Bella Terra in Huntington Beach, California) can at least see their favorite “Twilight” stars at the premiere November 17 in Los Angeles, from the sidelines. The red carpet begins at 6 p.m. at the Mann Bruin and Village theaters in Westwood, and fans are advised to arrive early for “prime bleacher spots.”

Woohoo! Go Fandango! It’s awesome that they will sell Twilight tickets so far in advance. Summit will have a better idea of the turn-out through pre-sales – so make sure to purchase yours. Let’s all go buy tickets until Fandango is sold out…We can shock the crap out of Summit and make sure New Moon getS made. What do you say? Are you with me? (here comes the Twilight army – go us!)
