MARKETWATCH: FANDANGO’S TOP TEN BEST AND WORST SCREEN COUPLES
In a February survey on Fandango, moviegoers chose Ryan Gosling & Rachel McAdams (THE NOTEBOOK), and Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie (MR. & MRS. SMITH) as the top two sexiest screen couples in recent film history.
More than 2,000 film fans took the survey, which asked moviegoers to vote for their favorite and least favorite screen couples of the last 25 years. The survey was posted on Fandango.com in the first week of February, and respondents were asked to choose only one couple per category.“The sexiest couples create electricity that leaps off the screen,” says Fandango editor Chuck Walton, “but some of these classic mismatches just make viewers want to leap out of the theater.”

I think the vote turned out pretty well for Twilight. I would have voted similarly. What do you think? Agree? Disagree? Why?

I think this is beyond great, I mean twilight is being compared to some of the most classic movies of all time!
It’s well deserved and I’m not surprised, there’s so much success and more well-known actors wanting to be in the sequel, it’s a huge boost.
I hope New Moon is just as successful -touch wood-
I’m torn between Titanic and Twilight. They’re my two favorite movies ever lol. I’m kind of surprised that The Notebook got number one. No offense to anyone and I like The Notebook and everything, but I think Titanic or Twilight is waaay better…
Twilight? Up there? I don’t think they’ll stay forever. Most of those other movies will go down in history. Titanic’s still popular now, but Twilight in ten years…
I’m surprised Leo and Kate in Titanic was number 5 on the list. I would personally rank them number 1. To be honest, I wouldn’t put Rob and Kristen on that list. I probably would have put James Franco and Sophia Myles in Tristan + Isolde on that list. The chemistry between the two of them was undeniable.
I have to say, that I love the fact that Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger made it on that list.
I expected it to be all heterosexual screen couples.
I think it’s awesome that Twilight made the list, but I can’t say that I am sad it was beat out by Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. I definitely would have to agree that the Notebook deserves that top spot:)
Twilight being in the top 10 movie couples?
How the heck did that happen? Robert and Kristen had like zero chemistry in the movie.
Surely Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in Notting Hill deserve to be on the list.
There is a difference between 24 hour contrived sexual tension, (Pitt/Voight), and those with true magnetic attraction …
These are some of the winners …
Gable/Lombard
Hepburn/Tracy
Streep/Redford
Hoffman/Lange
Nicholson/Keaton
