I won’t even lie, I bawled looking at that trailer. I think it looks amazing and I am so, so amazingly impressed. I’m just in awe right now and I can’t even wait until November.

OME!!! I’m 29 and I am proud to admit I squealed like a fan girl when they announced it…both times! Though I knew something was wrong when it was Andy Sandberg announcing it the first time! Anyway….I loved it! I thought Jacob the wolf looked great and I think it already looks better than Twilight…I loved Twilight but I could have liked it more. This trailer is so promising!!

This got me so pumped! Judging just from this the movie looks like its going to be so good, and it looks like Chris has done a really excellent job.
Its interesting how they did the part with Laurent, and how they will be introducing the wolves. A little different, but not awful, and definitely not disappointing.
I threatened my family with violence if they made any noise while the trailer was playing!

Honestly, I didn’t expect it to look so different from Twilight but I’m glad in a way. Catherine, I like what you did with Twilight but you know there’s going to be growth and improvement! Anyway, I LOVED IT, TOO! My favorite thing, I’m sad to say, is Jacob running from his house and exploding into wolf form BECAUSE I’m still TEAM EDWARD! Anyway, it all looked awesome! Thank you, Chris, it’s lookin’ SO AWESOME… I SAY RELEASE BEFORE NOVEMBER!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!

I loved it! I was worried about how they would handle the whole phasing thing, and all of those worries are 100% alleviated now. The makeup is better, Taylor is looking AMAZING…It’s all great! (How cute was Kristen Stewart when she dropped the award?!)

Wow!!! I having been waiting to see that trailer like you wouldn’t believe, and I couldn’t have been happier with it. My eyes started to tear up because I was so overwhelmed with how amazing it looks, I cannot wait untill November now. I thought they did a perfect job with the scenes they chose for the trailer. I will admit it……I CRIED SO HARD!!! Even when it wasn’t on! Just the thought of it made me bawl!Taylor looked amazing! The phasing was absolutley perfect! The CGI was great for the wolves! All of the Cullens looked perfect! Just how i pictued it! And Laurent’s eyes were fantastic! I did a cartwheel aroung my house while I was (and stil am) crying! Overall, it was the best thing that I have ever seen in my life!
Okay, I am soooo happy right now, I almost cried watching that!! But here’s what I am seeing too. The ‘meadow’ scene with Laurent—-did not look like the meadow and the 5 wolves, were just one…I had hoped that the movie would follow the book a little more, I hope the whole movie does and perhaps this part just didn’t…. Jacob phasing looked really good, I like that!!
Birthday party scene was great too!!! And in the woods when Edward leaves.

Ok so I didn’t cry but I did squeal like a teenager and clap and get goosebumbs all over. Oh yea I am 28 years old and woke up my 2 year old son!!! I have watched it over and over I can’t believe it! I am so excited right now.
The bday scene looked so magically like I imagined it while reading. I am so excited for this movie!! I have full faith it will be what we expected of Twilight–and maybe more. Kristen dropping her award = total Bella moment.
OMG!!!! I am so excited to see this movie. I just know it will be so much better than Twilight! The trailer just guaranteed that it will stick to the story. I am just as excited as everyone else. Chris has definitely delivered with the trailer. And the movie doesn’t even have the gloomy indie feel.

I loved the trailer, but I am worried about one part. Bella is running to Jake’s house yelling “Jake…RUN!!!” and that is when he phases and jumps over her…. That is a big change from the book since she meets Laurent in the meadow and there are like 3 wolves. Hmmmm. I am just telling myself to trust Chris on this. It can’t be worse than Catherine, right?????
Hmmm…. absolutely love the trailer overall. I unabashedly admit that I screamed “AWESOME!” when Jacob phased (and I’m so Team Edward it’s not funny) and was speechless for a good 3 minutes after the trailer aired.
I just watched it again, and if Jacob’s reveal to Bella happens in the same order as the preview shows (so quickly after Laurent in the Meadow - which didn’t look like Edward’s & Bella’s Meadow btw), I’m not thrilled about it… how would Bella’s shock at seeing Jake phase in front of her be explained within the bounds (or even near to within the bounds) of the book?
Overall, like most of you… I can’t wait for November… and I already have it crossed off in my calendar and will be requesting the night off when I get a new job.
Um wow. I was talking to my boyfriend and told him I had to go because the New Moon trailer was playing. I wish I had kept him on the phone so he could have hear my squeal at the end. My heart was literally pounding!! I was SOOOO happy they included the birthday scene and a little from the break-up scene. And then Jake morphing mid-air?!?!?! WOAH did not expect them to have that special effect done yet. Wow. He is gorgeous!! If at all possible, could you PLEASE release this movie sooner than November 20th!! GAHHHH
great great great trailer !!! Kristen hit it showing the emotion of Bella suffering - Robert was amazing….awesome wolf change for Jacob. Done very well! Chris Weitz made it happen with the wolf thing, I’m so relieved about that in particular. GREAT JOB !
They were all so cute at the awards! Rob was hot as usual. Taylor is so confident and well spoken and adorable. Kristen is so cute and shy. She was so frigin cute when she dropped her award. Just love the cast! GO TWILIGHT SAGA. Twilight fans RULE ! Cant wait for New Moon. What torture waiting.

I am so impressed! They swept the movie awards! I loved how awkward Kristen was. Loved it, it was so Bella! LOL. Rob looked drool worthy…as usual…and the rest of the cast was HOT!
The trailer…what can I say? It was amazing. I noticed Lauraunt was in LaPush, not the meadow. He looked freaky!!!!
The Cullens house was exactly what I pictured it as. I think that Edward was showing Bella the paintings of the Volturi!!!! AHHHHHH!

oh my freaking god can i possibly be the only one extremely mad at this clip?!?!? yea it looks AMAZING but nothing like the book!! this new director does not have my good thanks right now because the only 20 seconds ive seen and its not living up to my expectations. THATS NOT HOW THE SCENE WENT AT ALL. they were supposed to be in the MEADOW that had a lot of meaning in the book!!! and jacob saved her with the ENTIRE wolf pack and she had no idea it was jacob at all! they should not have introduced the wolves like that in my opinion but maybe im getting ahead of myself and it will fit in nicely in the movie. i dont know but i wish i didnt watch this.
re: Bella, Jacob, and Laurent. I had to watch it several times to be sure, but there are two different scenes being shown here. Bella’s clothes are different in the “Jake, run” and then he phases part. It also wouldn’t make sense for Laurent to be in La Push (assuming that is Jacob’s house he’s running from) without wolves all over him.

i think that the ‘meadow’ scene with laurent and the part where bella yells at jacob are actually parts of different scenes.. im thinking maybe when jacob and paul fight each other??
when bella turns to run from laurent she has a backpack on and she doesnt in the scene with jacob so maybe they just didnt have time to come up with 5 CGI wolves for the laurent scene lol

OME!OME!OME!OME!….that’s what it felt like wathcing the trailer…I was hyperventilating…..It was like time stood still and the trailer played all around me…literally on all four walls.
I think they got everything right this time. The trailer looks amazing, as if it could even be better that Twilight, sorry.
Ok, first of all, we totally pwned the MTV awards and secondly… OME, awesome trailer, leaves me wanting for more, as it should. Seems to be going really close to the book except that Bella seems to meet Laurant in Jakes back yard. Uh, not sure about that part. And I hope they put the “It will be as if I never existed” in the movie and just didn’t include it in the trailer. That is THE line of the book.
Awesome. Especially considering it’s only May 31. Imagine what this thing will look like after several more months of post-production work on the effects (which will hopefully include the wolf’s fur. It’s musculo-skeletal CG frame is incredibly realistic, but the fur is clumpy).
A few points of analysis I though I’d throw out there to spark discussion:
1. Notice that the Meadow Bella stands in here is full of dry, dead grass. Symbolically, that’s awesome. Also, Laurent looks fabulous, I think. Edi does wonderful things with his hand gestures there, too.
2. Notice that the jacket Bella wears in the Meadow is grey; when Jake comes to the rescue in the next shot, Bella’s in a brown jacket. This shows that these are TWO separate scenes spliced together, which was very clever of the editors. It saved the production team from animating the entire Pack just for the trailer. I can’t wait to see both scenes in final form.
3. Jasper is wearing Texan-style cowboy boots. Friggin perfect.
4. Alice looks luminous. Gorgeous. Also, Edward in a navy silk shirt? DELICIOUS. Makes me want to rub him all over.
5. Edward’s piano shatters under the unyielding force and weight of Jasper’s impact (which it wouldn’t do if he were human–in that case, HIS body would break, not the piano’s). Good foreshadowing, too, since the destruction of the piano is so closely tied to Edward…
What else did people notice?
OMG when Edward says this is the last time you’ll ever see me, that made me tear up…The trailer is awesome, how in the hell do wait till November to see the movie…..I think the movie is going to be so much better then Twilight. I love seeing the wolf transforming that was cool. I think Chris has done a fantastic job…..

I did not however like the fact that it looks like they left another meadow scene. The Meadow is a hugh part of the book..Am I wrong..?
But I ALSO CAN NOT wait until November. 171 days cant come fast enough!
Oh you know what I just realized watching that? Bella is wearing different clothes when Laurent goes after her and when Jake jumps over her and morphs. Those are two different scenes!! So if Jake is not leaping over Bella to protect her from Laurent…who is she running from??? Victoria? Or is this the confrontation with Paul?? Hmm very tricky on their part. But that is not one scene, they’re different.
P.S. Is it just me or was Edward not really convincing Bella that he didn’t love her any more? I just reread NM and that’s the part she can’t get over, that he said he doesn’t love her. So how come did he kiss her hair before walking away in the trailer?
I am such a Team Edward fan but seeing Jacob transform… I was blown away. This is going to be the longest summer ever! I can’t wait for Nov 20th!
that was the best 1:30 of my life lol i must say, thoroughly impressed with what Chris has done and just think, they haven’t even started the real editing and all that, so it’s going to look even better! The whole Jasper part was amazing, and the break up.. already in tears and it wasn’t even the full scene!

Well, I am happy with seeing a trailer, an OFFICIAL trailer, FINALLY!
But I am disappointed with the scene with Laurent. I was really hoping they would have shown all the wolves there. And that the conflict between Bella and Jacob was similar to the book, him keeping a secret for so long. But this was a teaser, so we shall see. I still LOVE it and November can not come soon enough.

Looking more closely, and I could be wrong, but it appears that the meadow scene and the phasing scene was edited together for the trailer.Bella is wearing something different in the meadow when compared to Jacob jumping over her.

I REALLY hope it was just editing showing Jacob shifting into wolf in the air above Bella to attack Laurent. If not, that would take away ALOT from the book and it shouldn’t be taken away. But, the rest was greeattttttttttttttttttttttttttttt. I can’t wait!!!!!!
By the way, I didn’t like how the meadow was portrayed, but that’s just me!
I do agree though, that Kristen was definitely cute & akward like i suspected.. even before she dropped the award, they are really heavy though I’ve heard. I can’t wait.

This isn’t even one of those trailers where they show all the good shots and it still has me squeeing! We know the best is yet to come with the Volterra shots! I kept rewinding it to watch it over and over again. I can’t believe it’s like 6 months out now, hopefully the summer will fly, with another major preview to come in August…yay!

Miserae, I think that the meadow scene will have the 5 wolves in it. If you watch closely and slow it down, you can tell that ‘Bella’ has on different clothing when she sees ‘Jacob’ transform. I think the transformation scene in the preview is where he fights off ‘Paul’ and she sees him actually transform for the first time.

I can’t quit watching it. This is going to be so much better than Twilight (which is understandable). I am going to have to take a box of Puffs into the theater with me. I do wish there was a part in italy but I guess they are still filming and there’s usually more than one final trailer. I will be waiting (I have no patience) for Nov.

Like Olga said.. I thought Bella was in the meadow when Laurent found her? Jacob was supposed to be in wolf form also.. and she didn’t find out that he was a wolf until afterwards so yeah.. maybe I’m wrong? I know the movie’s not going to be an exact replica of the book but I’m just wondering if I was right about all of that or not.
after watching this about a million times already, i have to agree that i don’t like that they changed where bella meets laurent..but i also agree that i don’t think her meeting laurent and jacob changing into a wolf are from the same scene. mostly because of the missing backpack and different clothes when she’s running towards jacob..so maybe they didn’t change the location after all. i really hope not. but i like how it looks like it could be the meadow just really dried out and dead looking, just like bella’s supposed to be at the time.
that being said..it looks amazinggg! the colors and the makeup look so much better in my opinion.
OMG. Summit Entertainment picked the right scenes to be in the Official Trailer of New Moon. Gosh, this trailer just made me want to see MORE of it. Addicting. lol.

and when laurent goes to grab bella and then he looks up.. i think thats when chris will have the 5 wolves enter… they probably just didn’t have time to add that much CGI in such short time…
if you compare the 2 scenes, bella’s jacket is different too
so i think that bella is yelling no to jake cuz she doesn’t want him fighting paul.. and at that point she already knows that hes a wolf
also, im really not that upset that clearly laurent and bella arent in the meadow cuz in the movie, the meadow just isnt that significant.. it looks like it is maybe somewhere in La Push, making it easier to explain why the wolves show up!
i really do think they are going to stick pretty close to the book… its just a preview so have faith!

Considering that New Moon dragged a little in the middle chapters of the book, I anticipate that this movie is going to move along at a great pace.

okay okay im sorry i admit i got a little hasty with the accusations after i only watched it once. now that ive payed more attention i realize thats not where the wolves kill laurent but i LOVE that someone noticed the dead grass in the meadow! if they are truly there [which they better be because it symbolized SO much] the dead grass would represent bellas life after edwards gone- dead! im calmer now but i still dont think bella had enough emotion when he told her goodbye. it looked as if he was saying something as insignificant as take out the trash, but that is probably because she was just in shock. the movie comes out 3 days before my birthday so its like my own special present:D
Oh I am so disappointed and I am such a die hard fan. Is it just me or does anyone notice how different Jasper’s hair is this time around? The sideburns and the overly curly hair - ewww. I love his look in the 1st movie. Edward’s wardrobe is sort of dorky too. I didn’t picture him dressing in a shirt and sportscoat saying goodbye to Bella. I see him more casual. He had the same outfit from the birthday seen. In the book, he didn’t leave the next day or morning. It was days or maybe a week later. The wolf part…so cheesy. It’s too cute. It could pass for a disney character in the Lion King or Lady and the Champ. I was expecting something a little more scary looking. The wolf from Underworld would be to much for this movie but something in between would be more realistic and not this teddy bear looking wolf. What a bummer.
So, we go from cool blues to fading oranges… did anyone else notice all the colors and hues ??? Man, I really am watching this thing too much!

First, AMAZING preview. But let’s not us all forget just how differently things were cut and put together in the end result compared to TWILIGHT’s first trailer. But all in all, I thought this trailer was perfect for a “quick peekâ€. Remember that principal photography has just wrapped, so post production is only about to begin. Let’s give them a break.
I think that Edward’s speech to Bella about him staying only for her comes after the birthday incident, followed by their ride to her home. I also believe that Edward leaves Bella the next morning, versus days later like in the book, based on the fact that he is still wearing the same clothes from her party. The one thing that does worry me a tiny bit is the lack of urgency that this scene is lacking in Edward’s turning away from Bella. In the end, I’m more terrified of Melissa Rosenberg than Chris Weiss right now.
But hold the phone! JACOB LOOKS AMAZING! I swear he took my breath away when I first saw his naked torso! WOO-HOO!
And yes, Bella running and screaming “JAKE! RUN†is a DIFFERENT scene from hers with Laurent. She’s wearing completely different clothes. And I believe she IS encountered by Laurent on the WAY to the meadow? It’s not the meadow, but rather looks like the baseball field? Hmmm. This is just a DROP of what’s to come! AND I’M THRILLED!

All in all, great Jacob transformation! I was a little worried, but the whole movie looks to be very promising. I am already loving how there is more emotion in that 1:30 with Bella and Edward we were lacking the I love yous in Twilight! Good job cast and Chris!Cant wait til November!!!! Cant wait for the Edward and Volturi scenes too!

Ok, so I have watched it about 50 times now, and I still can’t get enough!!! I AM SOOOO EXCITED FOR NOVEMBER!!!!!!! The trailer looked awesome and they did a WONDERFUL job with everything! I was worried because at first glance (the first 3 times I watched it) it seemed like they changed the whole Laurent scene but then I realized she is in different clothes so they merged two scenes together for the trailer. AWESOME! Why isn’t it November yet?????

As for the phasing thing, I think they spliced 2 or 3 scenes together. I’m going to go with my thought that that isn’t the meadow scene in its entirety and that they cut and pasted a few scenes together to give us a feel. Either way, November can’t get here soon enough for me to figure it out!!!!!

OK, I’m a little concerned after seeing the trailer (and I’m a huge Twilight fan) and afraid to post this after all the positive comments but here goes…
As the wife of a film teacher I tend to look at the technical and theatrical aspects. I thought the quality of the cgi wolf transformation looked a little cheesy and the acting - maybe just the way it was edited, didn’t seem convincing. I was disappointed but am still looking forward to Nov. hoping it will evolve.

I have watched it a million times just like everyone else on here! I have noticed little things that just get me excited! One being the Cullens look in general…I feel like all of the Cullens look fresher and more vampireish if you will. Rosalie, Alice and Jasper all have way better hair! Rosalie and Jasper’s blond curls look way better! Also Laurent’s eyes and intensity has been taken to a new level! I too was NEVER a Jacob fan reading the books…and to be honest when I saw him I was like Wwooooshh I got a little hot! So that excites me because I look forward to seeing if the movie can get me to feel something for him because in the books I was just annoyed with him constantly!
I know some people have expressed concern about it not going with the book, but I just want to remind everyone that the books are one entity and the movies will be another. Obviously they are connected because the books are the basis for the movie, but what you can spend 100 pages writing can be shrunk down to a small scene:) I have absolutely NO WORRIES because this really looks like it is going to be amazing!

Wow. I am actually really surprised at how many OMG that was fabulous comments there are about the trailer. Unfortunately, I found it really disappointing. I was hoping that with a better director, they could bring out realistic emotion in Kristen, and the wolf……UGH. The phasing was cool but the wolf is too small and looks really cartoony. My dog looks scarier, seriously. In the books, the wolves are described as HUGE, as big as horses. That wolf looked normal sized. I pictured the fur darker too, more brown. That color looked more like Seths wolf-form. I don’t know. I will still be there opening day to see the movie. I just hope they make a few changes.
OH MY GOD!!!! I love it so much. I have to admit, when I found out Catherine wasn’t doing New Moon, I was so excited! Don’t get me wrong, I loved Twilight. But it could have been better. I think Chris is already showing us how much more he can do with these movies. I don’t think he’ll let us down (i hope he doesn’t). Honestly…its 5 months before the movie is released and they just finished filming. They wanted to get a teaser out. They’ll polish it more before it comes out.
We haven’t gotten even a one sheet/teaser poster at work yet (I run a movie theater) so you know they’re still polishing things up.
To be honest i am a bit disapointed. This is more of a preview of a trailer, rather than the trailer itself. But they have only *just* finished filming in Italy,so what is to be expected? Still i feel like i have been duped somhow. Don’t get me wrong it is a good preview (although not as good as the Star Trek preview trailer which had me screaming in anticipation, but maybe i am already screaming for twilight.XD) but it is not really a trailer like i was led to beleave.

OMG!!! Love it!!! This is gonna be one hell of a movie! Yeah!!! B-day scene was awesome, and Rob’s acting - OMG!!! He was so good, so heartbroken, I was bawling just from watching his face. All of you that criticized some of the scenes, you have to have in mind that this is not the final trailer, in my opinion this was actually a teaser. They chose some of the most interesting pics (and earlier filmed) and put them together. I believe that this trailer-teaser wouldn’t even be out in the first place if there weren’t MTV movie awards, and of course, us - the Twilight saga addicts that need their daily fix of our beloved vampires and/or werewolves.
And also, there is a reason why movie doesn’t come out until the end of November, they’re gonna have plenty of time to work their magic on it. Just can’t wait to watch it! It’s gonna be brilliant, I have no doubt in my mind!

Just to clarify on some of the comments about Jake phasing at the wrong place for Bella the first time…in case you haven’t watched some interviews, you should
I clicked on here to watch some and there were tons of others. One was of Taylor talking about the trailer and he was saying he was trying to figure out when his scenes were in the movie. He said he thinks the first one was at the end and then the interviewer mentioned that he was shirtless but then wearing a shirt when he changed. So, that wasn’t one continuous scene. He doesn’t jump off the house and attack Laurent. Also, Taylor said that that change was when he changed with Paul….YAY!! So that sounds right then…it looked like Bella had no idea Jacob was going to change. The first time she sees him change is in his fight with Paul. So, it sounds like that trailer was just some crafty editing to get us to see the main things that happen. But go back and watch carefully. You’ll see that Jacob is shirtless but then wearing a dark tank top when he changes. I think it’s actually sounding JUST LIKE THE BOOK from what Taylor said about when the scenes actually take place in the movie, which is not the same order as the trailer

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I watched the awards last night and I was squeling the whole time! When they finaly showed this video I just about started to cry! Even my boyfriend (who could care less about Twilight) said that move looks good once they showed Jacob transform! Does any1 else think there might be a chance of the release date to be moved up? I believe with how fast and acurate they are making the movie right now they could have it ready to go about late August! Even that would add more for me to do with the Halloween 2 movie coming out, my grandmother’s wedding renewal, and the arrival of my baby Cullen Jacob! But heck I will go see that movie while in labor just so that I dont miss it!!!!

I really dig the trailer — only thing is I thought New Moon was supposed to follow the book more closely. When Laurent (bad vamp) finds Bella — she is alone (no one knows where she is) she was trying to find Edwards and her’s special place in the meadow. Laurent finds her there — not on the Indian reservation (in the trailer) you can see Jacobs house.
I thought that is was AMAZING!!!! I bawled already, so I’m going to have to remember tissue! I even started crying seeing Jake phase. Seeing it just brought it to life. A few things though..
Me and my husband both thought that the cgi wolf was too cartoonish! I hope in the many months to come, they continue working on making him look more realistic. The phasing was PERFECT though!!! I loved seeing his clothes being ripped to shreads!!
The other thing that bothered me was how tan the vamps looked in the b-day scene. They all looked beautiful don’t get me wrong, but not what the book describes. Bella had too much makeup on for being depressed after he leaves.

And I gotta say I liked what I saw of Jacob turning into a wolf, it looks pretty good to me. (I was a little worried how it would look, but it looked awesome!) This just made me so dang excited for November!

Well, what can I say? I think everyone has said it all. I think everyone in the cast look better, they also look different. Edward looks different from Twilight, better. I guess it’s the make-up that looks different, better again. The special effects look awesome! Jacob looks awesome, even though I’m not a Jacob fan. New Moon seems like it will be a better movie than Twilight…can’t wait! Rob mentioned in a post MTV Movie Award interview that he has seen the trailer. He wants to be surprised.

I love this teaser trailer…i love how they didn’t reveal too much and hope they don’t give away too much in a different trailer….it gave u not too much and just enough to anticpate on how much better its going to be… i think this is an amazing trailer with what they showed and it just looks like the movie is going to be phenomenal…i can’t wait the wolf tranformation was better than i could have imagined.

OME! I willingly endured the crap fest of the awards show for the best minute and 30 seconds of my LIFE! I was mostly speechless after Jake’s phasing - The eyes of the wolf - I melted - and believe me, I’m TEAM EDWARD all the way but Chris Weitz has really made it awesome for TEAM JACOB - wow.just.wow!
If the movie is half as amazing as the trailer it will be WAY better than Twilight. I really like the way we get REAL atmospheres and colors in New Moon. Twilight was WAY too blue!

I agree that the two scenes were merged for the meadow and Jacob changing, Bella’s clothes were different. Maybe they didn’t have all the special effects done for the wolfpack yet. Well MUCH longer actually… LOL The first time I saw it I wasn’t sure if I liked it… the meadow scene looked PERFECT except for the grass being dead and it didn’t look like the same meadow in any way I hope they edit that. And Alice sounded a little cheesy at the birthday scene. But other than that I am DYING HERE!!! AHHH!!! Taylor looks awesome!! And the wolf too!
AMAZING!! I think I stopped breathing for a full minute and 48 seconds when I first watched this trailer last night on the MTV movie awards. I’ve watched it over and over since. I’m trying to break it down in the course of the book in my head…and I understand it’s going to change slightly from book to movie…but the part at the end where she is running towards Jacob and he is running towards her but jumps over her and turns into the wolf…WHAT PART IS THAT?? I keep thinking it’s the dream she has where it’s him against Edward but that was book 1 and wouldn’t happen on Jacob’s property. I’ve only read New Moon 3 times but I feel like I’m missing it. Gonna have to read it 12 more times before November

I think people are reading too much into this trailor. It’s less than a 2 minute trailer, and they’ve only been working on this since the end of March. If they gave you the anguish of Edward, or all 5 wolves together, what reason would you have to go see the movie. This is just something to make your mouth water, just a tid bit, an appetizer.
That being said, I’m already in love with this new director. There’s finally color in the movie, no hazy blue tint over the whole thing. I’m impressed with the details I’ve seen already. Laurent’s eyes, much brighter, exactly how it describes in the book, and exactly how it was in my mind. That’s how they should’ve been all along. The vampire’s are more pale, except for Laurent, and as described in the book, even the vampires who had an olive tone in their original lives now have a pale complexion over the olive, so I expected a different skin tone for him. The colors are great over all. I’m very happy!

God, the makeup is soooooooo much improved! I loved the first film but hated the vampire makeup. Now the vamps rock and Laurent actually looks like a scary “bad” vampire! Amazing what a big budget can do for a film’s look! Overall, this movie is going to rock!

I’m glad you pointed that out because when I first saw the trailer, as excited as I was, I was a little disappointed. Bella’s not supposed to find out about Jacob’s secret identity until much later, and at the meadow, it’s supposed to be the whole pack. I’m glad the trailer made New Moon look different from Twilight as I was hoping it would be. But I wanted them to show Bella jumping off the cliff, lol.
When I got online last night and remembered that the trailer was coming out in a few minutes, I screamed involuntarily with excitement and scared the crap out of my dad in the process, lol.

Something to keep in mind,this trailer was just a “teaser” to give fans a taste(and what a good taste!!) I think the only way for edward to be convincing when he’s trying to break up with Bella was to looked down.In the book he’s not looking at her alot when he’s breaking up,Chris is doing a pretty good job sticking to that and alot of the important things with New Moon.
There will be more (longer) trailers that will go more in depth on the movie and what we can expect.So many expectations because as good as Twilight was, we fans expect to get more from New Moon, because the series is just really getting started.
When Summet gets closer to releasing New Moon the trailer(s) will get even better.

I saw the trailer online while I was at work (w/ no volume) and I still got goose bumps. Saw it w/ the actual sound and it was so amazing…I hope the party scene is a little more intense and I hope Edward says exactly what he says in the book b/c those were some powerful words. I can tell that Chris Weitz will stick to the book becuse remember when he wrote us the letter that said he would? I have now seen the trailer about a dozen times. I highly recommend (no need right!) viewing it several times to be able to take it all in. I was so focused on trying to capture certain parts when I saw it on TV, I missed several other important features.
I knew the break-up would be there. Not only was it the most pivotal scene in the movie, and that we all were standing on our heads to see it, but, it has been completed long enough for the major editing to be finished.
I am not interested in criticism at this point. But, on the complement side, and even knowing about it previously, I was KNOCKED OUT with Taylor’s physique. Again, he and Rob are equal adversaries for Bella. A nice setup for a very interesting confrontation!

I loved the trailer. I was a little worried that the scene where Jacob jumps the rail, and runs towards Bella, was the part where she learns he is a werewolf. I hope not, only becasue it would mean it happend on Quiuette land,not the meadow, and the rest of the pack would have know Laurant was on their land. But I keep reminding myself it won’t be exactly the same as the book. No matter what I am impatiently waiting for 11/20.

I really liked the score from Twilight and hope they use Carter Burwell again. I liked the kind of creepy feel from Twilight. I’m hopeful for New Moon, I hope they take their time and don’t rush scenes, and I would rather have to wait longer than November if it could mean an even better movie, I don’t want them to rush it.
omg i really do love this trailer!!! And they did a pretty good job with Jacob shapeshifting into a werewolf because many times people make it so unrealistic. But this one was different =]. TEAM JACOB!!!!!!!!! =]
I wasnt exactly expecting Jacob to change there and then. and i wantd the whole wolf pack to come like in the book!!!! other than that it was AWESOME!

I have been kind of following what’s going on with the filming of New Moon from a distance, and I can hardly bare to come here to Twilightersanon., because my tummy is all in a knot with excitement to see this next movie! I can hardly wait! But today, I didn’t have the strength to stay away, and so I see this fantastic trailer! WOW!! I was so afraid that New Moon would be made so differently from Twilight, but it looks just like a nice continuance. The actors look the same, and it all feels “just right”…*sighs in relief*

The trailer was great, Jacob looks good phasing, but as for the meadow scene, maybe it is a symbol of Edward and Bella’s relationship now dead since Edward is gone, whereas in Twilight the meadow was green and new and happy because they were together?

OMG I have watched this probably a hundred times and I STILL get goosebumps every time I hear the wolf growl. I bet its going to be ten times more amazing on the bigscreen. I dont go to the theatre, like ever, but this one I will most def go to see!
