Last Friday, Hot 30 radio spoke with Xavier Samuel, who was just cast as Riley in the third installment of the Twilight saga, Eclipse. While wandering around L.A. at midnight, Xavier talks to Hot 30 about how he got the role, how Eclipse will be his first major American role, and more:

I am looking forward to seeing Xavier in the role of Riley and I love how enthusiastic he is about landing the role. The fact that he went to LA on a whim and was only there a week before he was cast is pretty crazy. I also love that he was wandering around at midnight doing the interview – ha!

    Soooooooooooooo excited about Xavier playing Riley! I really like his look….this is how I pictured Riley. Honestly, I am just happy to hear anything about Eclipse at this point! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

    Wandering around LA at midnight by himself, hmmm… somebody should tell him to enjoy that while it lasts! Better brace himself for what’s coming within the next months! He sounds like he’ll fit right in within the cast.

    Wow! Xavier Samuel is playing Riley! Well I have to say when I read Eclipse I had pictured Tom Felton playing Riley. But I think that Xavier might be able to pull it off.
