IFMAGAZINE – PROFILE OF RACHELLE LEFEVRE PART ONE
Movie Profile: RACHELLE LEFEVRE GETS SUCKED INTO ‘TWILIGHT’ – PART ONE…The actress talks getting into her character of Victoria and being evil:
So being what has been termed a “perfect creature†… that’s not all hard to play, right? Not at all.“To not be bound by mortal ties, as it were. There’s something kind of poetic about it,†Lefevre says. “And it’s not just the moral laws that don’t apply anymore, but the laws of physics don’t apply anymore too. So you, I know the whole godlike thing is very cliché, but I can’t think of anything else that isn’t subject to the laws of, you know, gravity for example, other than a deity.â€
Probably relating so well to character came from Lefevre’s own studying of the characters and her own interest in vampires as a whole, even reading BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA when she was 14.
“I loved it so much,†she says. “And I just thought that it posed a lot of interesting questions about mortality and about why we value life. Why would you want to live forever when if you can’t die, things no longer have value. So the thing you wanted to preserve is the one thing that you lose, so then what’s the point?â€
Rachelle is awesome! I can’t wait to see her in the next film
