‘NEW MOON’: FILMING STARTS MONDAY?
As we all know, filming for the much anticipated ‘Twilight’ sequel, ‘New Moon’, isn’t schedule to begin filming until later this month. Well, according to Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper Hale, things are going so well that filming will actually begin Monday:
Thursday night, the whole New Moon cast - including Kristen Stewart, Rachelle Lefevre and Robert Pattinson - headed to Gotham Steakhouse for dinner.As as the cast was leaving, Jackson, 24, revealed to paparazzi that filming for New Moon will be starting earlier than anticipated. He shared, “[Rehearsals] They’re going great, they’re going great. We’re actually going to start filming on Monday, so be sure to check it out.”

Hey, if things are going so well that they’ve decided to film early…well, you don’t hear me complaining. If Jackson was correct in his statement, I think that’s a great reflection on ‘New Moon’. I really hope it’s true - I love to hear that things are going really well. And three cheers for Elizabeth in Vancouver! We hadn’t seen any pictures of her on location before, so it’s nice to finally get some.
What do you think about the news that ‘New Moon’ is filming early? Does that make you worried or relieved? And what about the pictures of Elizabeth - are you happy to finally see some?

i think rachelle said it in her, kellan and edi’s interview with Mario Lopez? but i could be wrong so dont hold me to it.
I think filming early is great! That way, they have plenty of time to go back and re-shoot something if it look off/awkward/wierd (or play with the dialogue if it’s flat or not coming across well onscreen). Something I don’t think they had time/money to do for the first installment.
The pictures of the cast just make me more excited about the movie and satisfy my daily need for a fix. Isn’t that scary?! I need DAILY fixes of this machine and soon…there will be no more. :-s
BY THE WAY– I love Rachele’s RED hair!!! It’s exactly the way I pictured Victoria’s flaming-curling-mess and the way it SHOULD have been in Twilight.
YAY!!!! Esme’s back on the set…. I was beginning to wonder AND getting worried! My love for the book’s Esme is definitely projecting onto Elizabeth Reaser right now….
Edward: “This is Esme… my ‘mother’ for all intensive purposes.” Gotta love ‘er! HA! I just thought about Esme in Midnight Sun when Edward started playing the piano again…. AAAAAWWWWWWW!!!!!!
I can’t remember if I’ve said this before but I was hoping that they’d start on the day that the moon phases to a ‘new moon’ status on March 26th. OK, I know that sounded really geeky but I don’t care… it’s symbollic!

Ok i have to comment here cuz there’s too many ppl on the photos page. All i want to say is that i hate that the entire cast is smoking. only one who hasn’t is taylor. THANK GOD cuz he’s too young. and kristen, such a disappointment. all the older cast are being bad influences! but u can’t run their lives for them. but i do have to say that the cast looks really good! the makeup and hair looks better then twilight. i agree with rob’s blush tho, back off!

I think we all can do a bit of “Googling” and find the answers ourselves. I would say one of the Vancouver’s National Forest areas…protected and yet probably available for filming. Has anyone checked out the city’s website?
Getting started this Monday!! That gives them about 8 days! Hmm…will Chris allow them to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?

Hey does anyone else notice in all the cast photos where everyones out and about in Vancouver, all the ones of everyone together like Nikki, Taylor and Kristen then theres some of ashley and jackson, BUT ALL the ones of robert are of him alone???? whats up with that? why isn’t he out and about with everyone else?maybe its just me over analyzing like i do, but seems funny?

nice! great opportunity to perfect things, and maybe finish filming earlier and give them a nice break between the 2nd and 3rd movie!
Relieved! That means the cast is so good they don’t need any more practice! And the director is happy with what he’s seeing. I’m super
excited now! And more time to reshoot if they need to. I feel good about that too.
Love the whole cast-great to see Elizabeth too! But I admit I feel a little weird looking at these pics. I don’t want any of them, expecially Rob and Kristen, to be stalked all the time. And by looking at these pics, we are encouraging the paparazzi to stalk them all the time. But, I guess this “thing” is so big, that this is enevitable.
How can they be filming when Nikki Reed isn’t even blonde yet?
What a relief!!, I repeat, what a relief!! It is wonderful seeing that Elizabth Reaser is there! I was starting to get down, because I was afraid they had replaced “my Esme”. I cannot imagine anyone else in that role.
By the way, what’s up with Taylor and Nikki? Have they got a thing going? I know Taylor is arm in arm with Kristin as well, but much more so with Nikki! I wonder……
I think it’s great!! Chris Weitz really did alot of prep work before hand, so if they all feel ready to start, then I think that’s just AWSOME!! Seeing all these cast shots & set shots has got me SO excited, I just cannot wait!!

i think it’s a good idea, it means they have more time to work on Eclipse too, and i figured out why they moved the date to then its because Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (part 1) comes out in November….

i live by vancouver and i heard on the local radio they start filming on monday the 23rd in stanley park;)

I think that it would be a great idea if you put the song “My Immortal” by Evanescence. That song would be PERFECT for the NEW MOON. Everyone should give it a listen =)
I believe that the new director should use the song “My Immortal” by Evanescence as the theme song or the main song, because it goes very well with what is happening in the book. Everyone should give it a listen and tell me what you think.=)
New moon is Filming “Downtown, Vancouver”
you should play DEFTONES during this movie. i listened to them the whole time i read twilight through breaking dawn!!!! the song ‘change’ mmmmmmm and some others.
DEFINATLY put that song in this movie!!!!!! it’d be awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeesome!!!!!!!
