I think Solomon Trimble made a perfect Sam and Krys Ivory was Perfect as Embry in the movie. I don’t like the people they’re being replaced with.

I don’t know who any of these actors are but from just looking at these shots and set photos, they look like they will fit along nicely with Taylor Lautner. Of course, when I pictured the wolf pack while reading the book, they were much bigger, beefier, etc. I may even be persuaded to like Sam a little more now. Wow. I’ll reserve final judegement until I see the pack running around half-naked though. Very pretty girl for Emily, too. Too bad they will have to ruin her face.

I dont agree with Chaske playing Sam. Solomon Trimble should still be in the movie. Solomon has that dark mystery about him. And Tyson playing Quil i just dont get it. What happened to all the people who played these characters in Twilight? I think that sucks that they would change them. At least taylor is still here, THANK GOD. If they would have changed him too I wouldnt have watched it. Man Hollywood has to mess things up all the time!!!!

I’m really, really happy with this cast!

i’m very happy. the use of relative unknowns in a movie such as new moon based on books with such a following, allows the viewer to fully 100% believe in the actors as the characters, not have preconceived notion of the actor is a different role.

whew! paul is really good looking! i always saw him as lik the least good looking one but damn lol i think hes the best out of the quileutes. well, apart from jake bc taylor is soo hot!

Well this is just one girls opinion like it or not…..the only one that catches my eye is the girl playing Emily. the rest of them don’t do a thing for me. Embry reminds me of Krys a bit. The ONLY right thing Summit did was actually give the parts to Native Americans. So yeah they get one mark for that. nothing else. They were probably afraid of the backlash they would get from the Solomon and Krys fans if they didnt do that at least! Guess they figured one insult was enough. But yeah that girl playing Emily and Solly would have been soo hot together! Do not even ask my opinion on that chaske kid. I dont want to be rude! But anyway…looking forward to seeing what Solly is going to do next! 100% Team Solomon here!!!!!!!

I’m just glad that this time around they are casting a great looking group of Natives. More I see these candids of the cast, more I have faith in Chris Weitz’s talent! Can’t wait to see what else he have to offer! I think I’m the only one here but I think Chris Weitz is hot for a director!

I really like Embry!!!!! But there are sooo many they havent casted yet! Leah, Seth, Collin, Brady….. am I forgetting anyone? I think they should have stayed with the origional quil and sam though….

I think they are all great! I think the new Sam is how I pictured him in my head when reading the books, so I think it was a good change. I think everyone fits as to how I pictured them to look while reading the books, I’m soooo excited!

I knew since the very first time I saw the pictures of the “wolf pack” that Alex Meraz was going to be Paul. That is exactly how I pictured him. Anyways, as for the rest of the cast, yeah I like them, but for some reason I don’t see the new sam as “Sam” I guess I had Solomon in mind all this time. I’m going to miss Solomon. But I guess we have to wait and see what the new cast will bring to the movie.

Wow, this is awesome! I’m loving them all! The girl playing Emily is almost exactly as gorgeous as I pictured her. Embry and Jared are the only 2 iffy ones, will have to see them in action! But boy the guys sure a HOT in this movie! Whew!

They all look GREAT but, can they act? Well, I hope so!!! I get more and more excited about this movie!!!!!

so what about seth and leah? they really should’ve introduced them in this flick… so that those who are not avid twilighters can still understand why them joining the pack is wierd. a) seth is so young, and innocent b) leah’s story get’s introduced. because you see sam and emily in the book… and a glimpse of leah and seth… which introduces them to the story. it’s not a vital part, but i love the nonchalant intro.

I don’t think the choice for Sam is great – he looks too young to me. Sam is supposed to be the older one of the group, and this guy looks like they pulled him out of class next to Taylor. Solomon was such a better choice. It’s too bad they didn’t keep him.

Also, the guy they got for Quil looks like a total dork! I pictured Quil as a slightly beefy guy – it’s how she keeps him and Embry seperate, Embry is the thinner lankier one of the pair. They got these two backwards!

It would be great if this was official, but knowing Summit we won’t get an “official” cast list for a month or so, until then i’m not getting MY hopes up. i really hope that the girl playing Emily is right because she is PERFECT!!

I dont mind that they have replaced sam. He wasn’t in twilight for very long so i didn’t find myself attached to him. I think the new sam looks alot closer to what I pictured him as when reading the books. And if your not a die hard twilight fan I actually don’t think they will notice that sam is different. he was in twilight for like..5 seconds. lol.

Replace the original Were’s? They only had a ten second spot on Twilight,who cares if they got replaced,did any of them have a speaking part? besides Jacob? Hmm.. It just makes me wonder if.. they are gonna make the appearence of Seth and Leah clearwater? Like in New Moon when they are at the party at Jacobs house.. Leah is on the phone, and Seth is sitting next to Jacob. Id be depressed if they took them out.. Seth is my second favorite character right after Edward, id be very sad if they dont put them in the movies..

the guys playing quil and embry do NOT look right at all…. maybe those are just bad pictures… after all you can do pretty much anything with make-up and hair these days… but on first impressions hell no… the others are pretty good though…. emily is beautiful

What a dissappointment – Solomon should have been cast as Sam and Krys should have been cast as Embry as they were in Twilight – the guy who will be playing Quil is not what I expected – very dissappointed

not real happy with the casting all together! Yes Emily is beautiful, I’ll give them that. I will also give them props for the native american casting, but the thing that bugs me is that none of the guys look like they belong in the same tribe. Just my opinion

I have to say that while i am upset about Solomon Trimble, and Krys Ivory being replaced, I am happy about the choice of Tinsel Korey for Emily, and both Bronson Pelletier as Jared and Alex Meraz as Paul. I think they’re both really cute…

I have to say I’m quiet pleased with the cast listed here. Now I just can’t wait to see them in character with the right clothes, and makeup and whatnot. And maybe they will have the Quil character wearing contacts, so he will probably look much different. Even if not, when he becomes a wolf, he won’t need them. haha.
Just give these guys a chance. I think this is a good sign as to the directors vision for the movie.
Too bad we have to wait longer for the Voulteri cast.

I always pictured Sam a little older looking. Sorry! the girl picked for Emilt is perfect, and Paul’s actor has a badboy thing going for him and it REALLY works for him. I do miss the actors who we met at LaPush Beach with Jacob AKA TAYLOR LAUTNER!!:) [I wouldn't have watched if they dumped Taylor] JUst one itsy bitsy detail that they forgot that Jake tells us…THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO LOOK 25!!!!

It’s probably just a rumour.. But I heard that Vanessa Hudgens might act as Leah… To be honest with you, i’d be devastated if she does end up playing her! She isn’t the right person to be that sort of character, it doesn’t suit her. Urgh… Xx

From what I see, I like the cast for the wolves just fine. I will admit, I’m disappointed that Solomon and Krys were replaced. Because is was so Anti-Cullen for Twilight, i was very attached to Taylor, Solomon, and Krys. (Sorry, nothing against the Cullens, really *other than Edward…* I just have to be a rebel. )
I’m not saying these guys won’t do a great job, it just may take alot of getting used to.
So Guys, don’t get down if you see so fans ragging on ya. Like someone already said, The fans hated Rob at first too. Now he’s lucky to make it home every night without being kidnapped by the fans! lol. (Something else i just don’t get. haha)

I am SHOCKED that Solomon Trimble will not appear in New Moon…after what I saw in Twilight, he would make the better choice for Sam…Chaske is just not doing it for me. And what about the other guy that appeared in Twilight? Krys?? Where did he go?? I have to say, and it IS just my opinion, but Tyson is butt ugly. I mean…eewwww. I HOPE HOPE HOPE that they cast Tinsel Korey for SOMETHING if not Emiy….she is so fabulously gorgeous and fits the descriptions of the native american girls in the books!! *sigh*…I say bring back Solomon and Krys…they got it right the first time. Wow…how blind are you people…they picked ok…ish people. The only two they did somewhat ok picking on is Jerred and Emily even then they don’t really match up. I think it’s just going to be Twilight all over again…in other words a disappointment.

I agree with the TA’s that Hollywood had to mess things up and take away Solomon’s and Krys’ character parts and give them to these other actors. I never heard of them and I miss Solomon and Krys, it is a crying shame!

I just can not picture any of these actors playing these characters aside form Tinsel as Emily.

So…who’s going to play Alec, Felix, Demetri, Heidi, Marcus, and Aro? So what you got Jaime as Caius (Caius should be 30ish when he was changed and not this 20 yr old. Just as long he does not sing…I will be okay!)

I like the choses for the pack, but I think that casting Freddie Highmore for Alec would be good. I asked 50 girls at my school and 48 say that he is the best pick. 2 said that they don’t care. But that is what we think. take or leave it.
