‘NEW MOON’ CASTING COMPLETE, ‘ECLIPSE’ GETS A NEW DIRECTOR
Big news in the ‘Twilight’ world today, ladies and gents. Not only is Live-PR.com reporting that casting for ‘New Moon’ is, indeed, complete, but they also give us a heads up as to who is set to direct the third film, ‘Eclipse’.

The casting director for New Moon, Joseph Middleton, has announced that “We are finished with the casting process”. No details on the cast list has been released by Summit Entertainment. The rumor mill has been on fire with talk of Madonna, Vanessa Hudgens, AnnaLynne McCord, and Dakota Fanning being hired for a coveted spot on the New Moon cast, however there has been no official confirmation of any of them being hired.
There have been rumors circulating that Drew Barrymore will be directing the third installment of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Series. These rumors are false. Due to the New Moon post-production schedule for director Chris Weitz, his brother and co-owner of “Depth of Field Productions” – Paul Weitz – will be directing Eclipse.

Okay, wow! First of all, it’s nice to know casting is complete, but uh, we’re all waiting nice and patiently to actually see that cast list. And I find it really interesting that Paul Weitz would be chosen to direct the third film. Now, please remember that these reports are not 100% confirmed until you hear it from Summit directly.
What do you think of these reports? Are you relieved that they’ve finished casting for the film? And what about ‘Eclipse’ – how do you feel about Paul Weitz reportedly taking over? Are you relieved that they say the Drew Barrymore reports were false?
