That is seriously cool. SM has inspired all age groups to read her books. I am a little surprised that The Host and Breaking Dawn aren’t included.
What do you think? Does it seem weird that BD wasn’t included?

I think the fact that Breaking Dawn came out in August may effect the numbers more. Breaking Dawn came out more then half way through the year. But yes it is shocking, seeing how many fans came out for the book release parties. and it not being the top listed, although it is on the book top listed for 2008 maybe the fans just prefer to have a paper copy like myself.
When Breaking Dawn came out, probably did effect things, OR maybe once people started hearing what happened in it, Renesme, maybe they didn’t want to buy it.
I know that turned a lot of people off the story.
I’m really surprised that Breaking Dawn wasn’t listed. However, it is not for everyone. It has alot of sexual overtones in it. It brings Bella & Edward’s love to a highlight introducing Renesmee. I loved the story myself. The only part of the story I didn’t like is when Jacob imprinted on Renesmee….that was distasteful.
I’m not that surprised - since the series was billed as a “Teen” book series, that the younger crowd would not take to that one… “Breaking Dawn” is far from teenage fare…Our Reader’s Group is a large group of moms and singles who are all over the age of 28 (most of us are early to mid 30’s) and we overwhelmingly loved that one over all the rest, other than “Twilight”….We liked “Twilight” because it was a good introduction to the series and it brought us back to those days with that passion of first love and all that goes with it, though we did get tired of all of Bella’s internal sniveling, complaining and whining (which is more teenage than adult). “Twilight”, though, did have adult elements to it and I think that many movie reviewers and non-fans who have not read the books and have just seen the movie have no idea what they are missing. The movie was very different from the book and just skimmed the surface.
“New Moon” was great as a pivotal upset in the Edward/Bella love story and “Eclipse” was a great continuation of that. But “Breaking Dawn” was a great maturing process and most of the content was not something we’d expect to see coming from teens or in a teen series of books…(Let’s face it people, the Cullen family were no teenagers and that was obvious from the first time we experienced them in “Twilight” so that made it all the more interesting for the older fan base as well.
The “Twilight” movie - while it was okay to watch, it was a TERRIBLE version of the book. They changed pivotal parts, inserted parts that were not even in the book and Kristen Stewart’s acting and portrayal of Bella ruined it for us. The development of the romance was so whiplash-fast we left the theater with neck pain!
Rob Pattinson as Edward was fantastic most of the way through the film, as was the rest of the actors who portrayed the Cullen clan. Mike, Eric and Jacob were all done by great actors who really did the characters justice. Jessica was a definite scene-stealer as well. The character of Angela could have been done much better though.
I SOO wanted to buy the audio version of Breaking Dawn at Target! Saw it for 42$,, They didn’t have the other 3 tho.
