MOVIEFONE: YEAR-END MOVIE POLL RESULTS
Moviefone had several polls going to see what you thought were the best and worst movies, which were the best performances and much more from 2008 were. More than 3.5 million votes were counted, and ‘Twilight’ and it’s stars made appearances in the polls several times.
Below is a list of polls that Twilight was included on, and how it did:

Okay so I may not agree that Christian Bale was a hotter hunk than Robert Pattinson, and I wouldn’t exactly classify ‘Twilight’ a chick-flick, but other than that I totally agree with the results of the polls. I love that Kristen and Rob’s chemistry was recognized, and I love that James was a runner up for best villain.

Twilight is DEFINITELY a chick flick, the books are definitely chick books. That doesn’t mean I don’t love them though! And I think Rob is hotter than Christian Bale, especially after Bale’s whole skim with “domestic violence.”
Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens had the best on screen chemistry of any movie this year, hands down!!!!! (It helps that they are in love in real life.)

Ok guys.. i think robert is hot.. but not a god… i think the dark knight is a movie we all liked.. because it was so good… and i think the Twilight Saga BOOKS! deserves a better movie.. i got really dissapointed… i love the books.. and i think that the movie was not good.. and i think doesn’t matter if you are or not a couple in real life.. is just about knowing how to act and i don’t think kristen and robert pulled it enough.. sorry just being objective

I disagree w/Sofia and janaya. I honestly don’t think Christian Bale is hotter than Rob. Don’t get me wrong, Christian’s a very good lookin’ guy, but his lips aren’t nearly as nice as Rob’s… Rob’s smile is also to die for! He completely dazzles me. Rob may only be 22, but he is far more mature than most guys who are older than he is–just take a look at his music, movie, and book recommendations! He is no “little boy”, nor is he “drunk”…I see nothing wrong w/Rob taking in a few beers w/friends. He’s of legal age, and I really can’t fathom why people make a big deal about him going to bars.
Re: Twilight being a chick flick…the movie is geared more towards girls, but I know guys who have definitely enjoyed the movie.
I agree with you about the Christian Bale vs. Robert thing. In all honesty, I don’t think Christian’s that good looking. But, hey, just my opinion.
I don’t agree with the chemistry, though. As much as I want to say Twilight was a fantastic movie and Kristen and Robert truly looked like they were in love with each other…I can’t. Because it’s not true. I really didn’t feel much from Kristen throughout the majority of the movie, which is a shame. I think the meadow/forest and prom scenes were really the only times she looked even remotely in love with Robert. I don’t know if this was due to bad direction on Catherine’s part or just bad acting on Kristen’s, but I just didn’t feel it. And I know I’m not alone on this.
And is Twilight a chick flick? …Yeah, pretty much. I mean, not to say that boys can’t get into, too, because they can, but it is a vastly female-driven book series and movie. Ratings and percentages don’t lie.
Oh, and I have to give props to Cam for his runner-up spot. I haven’t seen The Dark Knight, so I have no idea how well Heath did (I assume very well), but I thought Cam did a great job as James. He was one of the best actors in the movie, I think.
The best chemistry I have witnessed is Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. It looks so real because it is. Rob Pattison is not the hotty people proclaim, I am sorry, He is nice looking but not HOT…..I dont see Vince Vaughn having chemistry with anyone. I did not like this movie of his at all. Different strokes for different folks I guess. But I don’t agree with the above mentioned polls at all

Come on, ROB is the hottest hunk of the year. Like, DUH! Christian Bale is so OOOOOLD. His lips are too thin, and he doesn’t seem as nice as Rob is. Plus, he hasn’t got the magic hair. YUM MAJOR. To whoever said his hair was ridiculous, you obv have a different definition of ‘ridiculous’ with the rest of the world’s female population.
And Zac Efron and Vanessa H SUCK BIG TIME. They can hardly act. HSM isn’t a movie; it’s just a chance for no-talent previously-unknowns to sing and dance about on stage with basketballs and make cow eyes at each other. And 12 year olds go crazy over that because they are only allowed to watch Disney channel.
Kristen and Rob are serious, talented, thinking actors. They portrayed Bella&Edward’s relationship so well no one else could have done it better. They SO are the couple of the year.
Sorry people, but Robert Pattinson is not that good looking. Please don’t kill me. Christian Bale was a good pick for number one. Heath Ledger’s ‘The Joker’ was, by far, the best villian of all time, and, of all time, Cam Gigandet would be my number three, so that’s good. I really agree with the top three in ‘most worth your money,’ but not really the last two. I didn’t see ‘Sex and the City,’ but WALL.E was, I thought, really boring, but still cute.
