MTV: JAMIE CAMPBELL BOWER GIVES HIS OPINION ON DIRECTORS FOR ‘BREAKING DAWN’

Posted November 5th, 2009 By: Evie 5 Comments »

Jamie Campbell Bower sat down with Eric Ditzian from MTV and gave his very funny response on who he thinks should direct Breaking Dawn. Jamie even admits that he’s not sure if fans would approve of his choice, but he certainly thinks it would be good.

I think Jamie is teasing us, perhaps “forgetting” how large the fan base really is for The Twilight Saga. Tim Burton would be an interesting choice, he could definitely handle the fantasy part of the story. But overall, I’m personally going to stick with Chris Weitz!

What do you think of Jamie’s opinions of directors for Breaking Dawn?

Jamie so cute, but NO Tim Burton would NOT be my choice for Breaking Dawn…
OK, so all the trailer teasers I have seen for New Moon I am thinking I like Chris Weitz:):)
BUT Summit will do what Summit does I guess and… well as long as they
do not get rid of ( sorry… ahmm change any other actors due to what was it
with Rachel “scheduling” problems ?) they called it… then I guess we will get who we get..
If one listens to conspiracy theories it might just be Ron Howard??? Mmmm , time will tell.

Well, it’s an interesting thought but not a good one. I know a lot of people seem to think that Chris Weitz would be a good choice but I’m going to reserve judgment on that until after I see New Moon. I’ve had too much experience seeing fantastic trailers but the movie was ultimately no good. Two more weeks and we will know.

If Tim Burton signed on for Breaking Dawn I would DIE of excitement! He would be an excellent director =] Unfortunately I don’t think it would be quite his style and he probably wouldn’t agree to do it…
I do think it is important to change up the director each time though, I’d rather not have another Chris Weitz movie, even if his is great, because each of the stories are so unique I think they deserve a different perspective from a different person each time.

With what I have seen so far in the trailers and his interviews, I love Chris Weitz. I really liked The Golden Compass he directed. Tim Burton is a NO. Jaime is such a kidder, do you think he was kidding? Really, it does not matter to Summit what we think they will do what they chose to do. I agree with Heike re: Rachel.

    Um, no to Tim Burton…
