TWILIGHTERS ANONYMOUS 2009 MTV MOVIE AWARDS COVERAGE
I’m sure you’re all gearing up for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, which premiere at 9pm ET tonight, and we here at Twilighters Anonymous are doing just the same. We will be giving you up-to-the-minute coverage of tonight’s event and this post here will be your source for everything Twilight (pictures, video, interview, etc.).
To kick things off, you’ll notice that we have a live feed that currently is broadcasting from the red carpet and will turn into a live feed of the ceremony once it begins. Beneath that, we’ll have a running list of all the pictures, interviews, and anything else you could possibly want, so scroll down! THIS IS AWESOME!! Are you sure they’re gonna show the entire Movie Awards?!! cause I’m from the Netherlands (BTW no problem with the feed) and I’m not gonna stay up all night for just the red carpet!
It’s so unfair! Ontario (our neighbors for English Canada) got it live on MTV Canada. but QuĂ©bec (French Canada) doesn’t. It sucks. I mean, QuĂ©bec is way cooler than Ontario (trust me on that one)! I need to watch this! (I know. Pathetic, isn’t it? But I can’t help being a Twilight addict, can I?)

I just watched the New Moon trailer and I loved it!!! It was A-MA-ZING!!!! Bella’s birthday party, Jake transforming, it was all awesome, I can’t wait to see the new movie!! Is it November yet?!?!?!?!

The clip was AMAZING!!!!! I literally screamed, and I think I fainted, but I couldn’t really tell. =)
I’m so mad, though, I missed the first few seconds (I caught when Edward’s saying goodbye) - the online streaming stopped working!!!
Then, when I went to find it on TV, it came on on my laptop - argh! I guess I’ll just have to find the beginning online… =/
Finally saw the new trailer, and all I can say is AMAZING!! I’m not sure how I feel about edward knocking jasper through the air, but the rest looks fantastic.
OMG I can’t believe how unbelievably awesome that was! This is problally going to be the COOLEST movie EVER!!!! I can’t believe it! Taylor’s phasing was exactly how I thought it would be and the birthday scene and edward leaving….AHHH! I LOVE THIS!!!

OMG it was sooo amazing!!!! I had goosebumps in the end and when Edward told her he was leaving I was in tears! They did an amazing job on the wolves!! Jacob as a wolf looked awesome!

The trailer looks amazing!!! It’s exactly how I imagined it to look like. I can’t wait for more trailers to come out.
So…Kristen looks like she totally hates everything twilight related. Totally bored, not interested, etc. I mean, she doesn’t have to be jumping for joy or anything, but really? she could at least pretend to be interested in the saga that’s making her a very rich 19 year old, lol.

I’m not usually a fan of award shows, but each time they came up to accept it was just AWESOME. From the fake kiss to Kristen dropping the award, it was all great! So proud of them for all those awards!!!
dude, Paramore totally should’ve won Best Song From A Movie. I’d listen to Paramore over Miley Cyrus any day. Plus, Decode was an absolute great song!!

I don’t know what you’re talking about with kristin stewart looking bored. I don’t mean to sound rude, but if you’d take some time to watch some of her interviews, instead of screaming over robert pattinson, you’d know that she’s naturally awkward and shy at speaking in front of other people. Has nothing to do with her interest in the series.
Katryna: Not to gang up on you, but I believe you are misreading Kristen.
I have no doubt she loves Twilight, New Moon, etc. She has never hid the fact she is not one to enjoy appearances such as this award show. After all the Twilight hoopla hit, it was several months before she could relax during interviews. And that was just with one or two people. Think how unnerving being in front of thousands of screamers, cameras, etc. would be if you are a quiet type? I believe she is as quiet as Rob. He just has had more of a chance to get use to it.
Cut her some slack. She is an awesome Bella. I love how non-Hollywood she is. That she is still an individual after all she has gone through the last year or so, just shows how strong and real she truly is.

How funny for Rob to act surprised that Kristen would decide against kissing THE Rob Pattinson! Very funny. Very well done. I thought they both handled the comedic timing perfectly.
I loved the show. I loved it when Rob and Kristen were on the stage for winning Best Kiss that was too cute. I think that Kristen was so nervous when she was on the stage for her win and I love that Rob smiled when she dropped the popcorn award. I loved the fake New Moon trailer that Andy did I laughed so much. After seeing the New Moon trailer I so can not wait for November!!! I about died when Edward tells Bella that she’ll never see him again oh where are the tissues. Didn’t amyone else notice that it didn’t look like Niki Reed was onstage with everyone else when Twilight won best movie??? It’s a great day to be a Twilight Fan

Ashley and Christian looked so pretty! I love Kristen wearing her dress with gym shoes! Kristen and Rob are too funny! I love seeing the two of them together! Kristen dropping her award was funny…she handled it well. Rob is always funny. I watched the awards with my boyfriend and he thinks I’m a nut cause I talk about the cast like I know them and wanted them to win every award. Glad they kicked butt!

The MTV awards were great…Twilight dominated and I loved all the Moments Twi related….especially Robs face when Kristen juggled about her award!! priceless….but having a little chuckle about the “pants” thing?

It’s 2:20 am Monday morning in LA and 7:20pm Monday night, Melbourne Australia…
Loved the Best Kiss acceptance…HOT! Even though Kristen and Rob totally planned NOT to kiss, that was a cute way of telling everyone to quit begging for it! =) I loved how Kristen dropped her popcorn award during the Breakthrough female category and how she played it off. Rob was totally leaning into his hand and cracking up like he was enjoying it…I don’t think we get to see Rob laughing the genuinely that often, so it was really nice to see.
Guys , Is it me , or ? I just thought I did not see Nikki Reed ? Am I blind, or maybe I was too focused on Rob.
I can’t believe that Miley Cyrus beat Paramore for Best Song. I love “Decode” and think it was an awesome song perfect for Twilight. I was really hoping that they would win. Oh well I’m glad that Twilight won everything else especially Best Fight & the awards for Rob & Kristen. I felt so bad for her when she dropped the award, I was thinking poor girl! And I love that when they went to accept the Best Kiss award that they almost kissed & Kristen said Thank You and turned to walk backstage. I thought it was hilarous and brilliant. And I’ll admit I was actually surprised that it won Best Movie, I thought The Dark Knight or Slumdog Millionaire might take it. That just shows you the passion of the fans & what we can do.
I watched the awards until after the New Moon trailer. I am so glad Twilight won the awards. I absolutely LOVE Twilight and have watched the movie so much the CD is getting worn out. Also read the books three times. OK, with that being said….1. the host for the MTV Awards was a moron. 2. The way some of the audience acted was disgusting. 3. The guy who was dressed like an angel and was above the audience was showing his bare butt. 4. The guy who won some sort of director award was a slimeball for the body action he was doing. 5. They had to bleep out a lot of foul language. I could go on, but for those who watched it, you know what I mean. If not for Twilight, no way would I have watched it.
I loved the awards show, i thought it was HILARIOUS!!!! There were so many bits i just wanted to scream at…lol, but unfortunately i didn’t want my family to think i was even more insane than i was, plus i was watching it with my brother…now if it had been last year or i moved out this year then i would have been screaming, oh well i was screaming on the inside
hehe Rob and the pants thing was so random but funny…oh and i could see that award being dropped or flung by Kristen at some point, i was slightly cringing, she came back from it with style…i think..
i was very tempted to go and watch the trailer before watching the awards (live in Aus…have cheapo verson of foxtel, spose its like cabel or something) but i convinced myself to watch it properly…it paid off, it looked so good! my goodness, seriously at that point i was on the edge of screaming, i’m just so annoyed that its so far away! its going to be like 7 months, ahh i can’t wait that long!!
very unhappy about that, i love their song! i’m glad that they triumphed in every other category. anyway i’m writing too much again…AHH SO EXCITING!!!!

I’m probably the only person that doesn’t know the answer to this but if anyone can help its TA. I have seen the same blonde woman with Rob at different award shows and on different paparazzi sites. Is it his mom? Publisher? Luckiest woman in the world? She was sitting next to him at the beginning of the show. Solving the mystery would be great!

i loooved it!! i think the wolves might be bigger in the movie. that particular scene didn’t have anything to compare jake’s wolf self too, you know? he might be big next to a human. and i thought the color of him was good. would you call that russet brown??

Honestly, it’s MTV, and you have to take it all with a grain of salt. 90% of your complaints were actually planned out by the show. The angel guy falling on the crowd was NOT planned, but his dress code was. The sound producer air-humping was totally planned. The excessive cussing was planned. And the host was from Saturday Night Live, so of course he’s going to be a moron.
That being said, you gotta just accept if you’re going to be watching something on MTV, it’s not exactly going to be PG.
i think that durring the break-up scene that edward should have said the famous Quote from the book…
” It will as if I never exsisted”
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah *snifle* sorry its just I was listening to bella’s Lullaby and i was reading the chapter when he leave’s and as soon as i finished this qoute the final note on the song played and i bawled my eyes for exactly 3 days. i had to go to the counsler and she was saprised that i had such an emotional response to the book. so i got her to read the series and we started a club. yay the when i got home i decided to read to the book that was part of the graetest series on earth . twilight!!!
Arghhh kristen dropped her award??? I have to see that!!! Im gonna have to wait until saturday!!! midnight !!!! They’re gonna air the awards on thursday night but I already have an appointment with sam and dean winchester (supernatural =P) so Ill have to stay up on sat! I wouldnt miss it for the world! I almost cried when I saw twilight won six out of seven! I wish Decode had won thought, I love that song
The Awards were the best ever yet!!! I voted several times just hoping they would win everything they were nominated for. I wish Paramore had won for the song but thats okay TWILIGHT SWEPT ALL THE OTHER AWARDS!! I SCREAMED EACH TIME THEY ONE! THEY TOTALLY DESERVE IT!!! LOVE YOU ROB, KRISTEN, TAYLOR, CAM, KELLAN, ASHLEY, PETER, JACKSON, NIKKI, AND ELIZABETH!!! AND WHO CAN FORGET STEPHANIE MEYER FOR WRITING SUCH A GREAT BOOK!! HAVING TWILIGHT WIN MADE MY YEAR!!

I think its ridiculous Miley Cyrus won over Paramore… Paramore got where they are on TALENT. Miley got where she is because of her daddy and Disney constantly shoving her in the media’s face. Even if Decode wasn’t a Twilight song, I would have still loved it just as I do now.
Oh and Kristen dropping her popcorn was HILLARIOUS!! As well as the kiss her and Robert were going to do. That was funny
AND of course.. New Moon trailer.. AWESOME!!! :] I just hope Kristen has more emotion in the movie than she did presenting the trailer… yeah
