MTV MOVIES BLOG: KEVIN SMITH AND DAUGHTER REVIEW ‘TWILIGHT’

Posted May 20th, 2009 By: Team Switzerland 11 Comments »

MTV Movies Blog recently spoke with multi-talented guy, Kevin Smith, about his thoughts on Twilight, and he even brings out his daughter, a diehard TwiHard, to give her review on the movie. Smith, a writer, director, actor, and overall qualified reviewer, had nice things to say about the film:

I thought that was a cute little video. Smith is an accomplished director and actor, so it’s nice to hear him say that the film was good overall, even though he wasn’t their target audience. Hopefully New Moon will be more appealing to him!

What did you think of Kevin and his daughter’s review? Are you a fan of Smith’s work?

I LOVE Kevin Smith and all his movies…His daughter is adorable and I think she would have probably been happier sitting in the background reading Twilight than on camera with her dad. She is 14 of course she’d rather not be on camera. Her giggle at Edwards name was cute though. At least I know one of my favorite directors will have to go watch these movies. I look forward to what he has to say about New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn

Sorry, I have no idea who Kevin Smith is, I must goggle him, and I’ll do that now.
Yes, his daughter looks like she did not want to be there, parents can be sooooo embarrassing, lol, just ask any teenager they’ll tell you…

twilight mom, have you ever heard of clerks, mallrats, chasing amy, jay and silent bob, or even dogma? oh well, still a great actor/director/writer, oh his daughter, poor thing, I have a 13 y.o and she would have had the giggles the whole time.

Did anyone else find it funny that Kevin seems to think you have to be a 14 year old girl to “swoon” over Edward’s name? Now granted, I don’t swoon over Edward’s name per say I do know plenty of people who do. And most of them are not 14, LOL…

I do love the fact that he took his wife and daughter to the movie, and the fact that as a professional, he appreciated the quality of the movie. And I love that he just had to embarrass his daughter by bringing her on camera. It’s what we parents live for… to embarrass our kids! I can’t wait till mine are old enough!

SILENT BOB! I love his work and respect his opinion a lot when it comes to films. The interview was really sweet with his daughter there and all. Poor thing looked so uncomfortable being put in front of the camera like that. My mind would probably go blank too on why I loved Twilight if I were put on the spot like that.

Kevin Smith RULES! So he didn’t love Twilight big Deal he didn’t trash it either, which he could have easily. I know even I have had things in Twilight pointed out to me that were laugh worthy! I agree his daughter did not want to be there. But she brought excellent reading material.

ok that made me laugh out loud! that was so funny!!
