MTV Movies Blog: ‘Twilight’ Invades The 2009 New York Comic-Con!

Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, and…Edward Cullen? That’s right, amongst the mutants and supervillains is none other than “Twilight.” The vamp franchise finds itself represented at Comic-Con in no less than two different areas on the show floor.

The publishers of Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” books is Little, Brown and Company, and the outfit has set up shop here at the convention, showcasing the work of their star author. “Twilight” fever also hit the Tonner booth, where their Edward Cullen and Bella Swan figures were on display.

I am really curious to see how well these dolls sell because I think they’re weird looking. I totally forgot about the NY comic-con. Any of you going to the comic-con? Make sure to stop by the Twilight table and tell us all about it! Do you think the dolls will do well in sales?

Yes of course they will do well in sales! As ive mentioned many times before…WHY!? Because they’ve got something to do with Twilight!.

I mean What Stalker-Crazy-Twilight obsessed fan doesn’t want crazy little dolls that are supposed to look like your favourite lovers.

I know I do..I’ll be getting them as soon as they hit Australia…If they do.

Just something else to add to my collection. Bahaha!!

  • Jenniffer

I agree with Emily, because they have to do with Twilight so I think they will sell pretty well, but I am no gonna buy them cause they are kind of weird.

  • RachelCullen

Yeah i reckon they’ll do heaps well.
as far as i’m concerned; if it has something to do with twilight, then it will be a success.
There are enough obsessed fans -myself included- to make sure of that.
and as Emily Lautner said; they haven’t hit Australia yet,
but I don’t actually know if i’ll get them.
    they’re a bit weird looking i think.

    those dolls scare me o.O

  • Judi

The dolls are nice, but the price is outrageous! There is not even the remotest possibility that I would pay $125 to $150 for a doll that is pretty much a Barbie/Ken doll made to look like Bella & Edward. If the prices ever go down to a reasonable amount, then I could see them selling like crazy.

  • zhani

    That is truly terrifying.. O_O

  • LuvChul

Really weird looking. I think they don’t look the same. If i don’t read the news, sure that i cannot recognize Edward and Bella .

But hope they will do well in sales . :D

  • Jane

The other set of dolls that are out look better than these….

  • SamSamSam

The doll faces look so alike!
    I mean I know Edward & Bella
are perfect for eachother but they
do NOT like alike, hahah funny.

  • Melissa

The dolls really do not look like Robert or Kristen. For such an expensive price I would at least expect a much more similar resemblance! Maybe they’d work if they were just suppose to resemble the characters from the book, but they’re suppose to be dolls from the movie! I’m interested to see how well they do sell.
