MTV: ‘NEW MOON’ TRAILER TO PREMIERE ON MTV MOVIE AWARDS

If you aren’t already, you may want to sit down. We all know by now that this coming Sunday, May 31st, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner will be premiering some exclusive new footage from New Moon. Well, it’s not just any old footage that they will be premiering, it’s the first movie trailer! Read below for more:

 
Last week, we dropped a bombshell of OME proportions when we announced that the cast of “New Moon” will be presenting exclusive footage from their upcoming “Twilight” sequel during the MTV Movie Awards. Now we can reveal that the never-before-seen video that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be introducing on Sunday’s live show is the movie’s first trailer.

The stars will present the premiere of the “New Moon” trailer on the Movie Awards, airing at 9:00 pm ET on Sunday. Then at 10:45 p.m., the high-definition video will debut online. To make sure you don’t miss the big premiere, you can snag our Movie Awards countdown clock right here!

This year, “Twilight” leads all other films at the Movie Awards with seven nominations, including nods for Breakthrough Performance Male nods for Pattinson and Lautner, and Best Performance Female for Stewart. Cam Gigandet, who plays evil vampire James in the movie, has been campaigning heavily (with the help of FunnyOrDie.com) to win Best Fight for his battle with Pattinson. Voting in the Best Movie category, for which “Twilight” is also nominated, will stay open until the end of the live telecast.

I’m not even going to lie, I let out an audible screech when I first read this. I was so excited to hear about footage premiering and I didn’t expect we’d get a trailer so soon, but I can’t wait! Don’t worry, faithful TAers, we’ve got you covered and will post the trailer as soon as it has premiered.

    I bet anything something of the breakup scene will be in it. That has to be a trailer.

    Holy cow, I can’t wait :D But did they already shoot and edited enought of the movie to make a trailer? They must be working really fast… =) Or they’ll make a very “early” one with not much scenes but enought to make us want MORE :)

    Of course, I’m excited but then I remembered that being in the UK means I am unable to see this, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they put a ban on people out of the USA being able to see it online…

    Oh well, you’ll just have to tell me how it looks!

    OME!!! I can’t believe it!!! I’m so excited…
    Tha bad turn is that here in Mexico, the Movie Awards will air until June 4, so I won’t see it on TV, but I will be glued to my laptop since sunday night to watch the trailer online and the appearance that I’m sure SOMEONE will upload to Youtube, you will guys… right?
    Please help a twifan…

    Ok, the only way this week could get any better is if I actually ran into Robert Pattinson himself. I cannot believe what a Twilight week this has been. Awesome!!!

    the first Twilight trailer was 59 seconds long. And was released on May 12 2008. I don’t think it’s too soon at all. We’re actually over due!

    im excited but wah ? a trailer already ?
    the movies’ not even done and they’ve made us a trailer ? wow they really are rushinq this movie. I want to see it just as much as the next Twihard but i want it to be the best New Moon possible and i think in order for it to be that they need to slow down. Once its released its not like they can take it back and put more time and effort into it.
    But reqardless im still tuninq in on Sunday lol

    Can you say “overload”? Uh – gosh, not sure how much more I can take. =)

    “One” of the main reasons I didn’t get the MTV tickets is it was pointed out to me that the screaming would be ear splitting in person and if seen on TV, they’d be able to dink with the sound so that we could at least HEAR Rob, Kristen, Taylor and the movie clip. Makes sense to me.

    Honestly at this point I’m weak in the knees and as Creamy so aptly put things yesterday, “THUD”.

    I’m so excited! I hoe they incroapte some Edward and Bella in htere and Jacob too. and does great new new moon phots the others ine were great but the ones in italy and robl ooks incredible does’nt he. I love him and kritne and I love and Edward and and hte rest of the character.s ok Jane I would wnat to meet in a dark alley but if usch a tihng exists , I’m also on Team Dakota.

    I don’t think it is too early either for a trailer. We don’t know what they will include. It has been a month or two? since they began filming. Plenty of time to put together a one minute trailer.

    I would think the difficult part would be deciding what to reveal. Just enough, but not too much. Do they not realize the true fans are living minute by minute, hanging onto whatever scraps of news we can scrounge?

    Of course, they could take credit for initiating the great California earthquake and have Rob open his shirt on stage and stand there as he did in Italy. With his eyes closed and arms outstretched. No words needed!! Probably would have to end the show at that point.

    YAY! even better! wow a trailer! I never would have expected it! Yipeeee!!! DVR is set, afternoon cleared, gonna be glued to MTV!!! this week has been good to us Twilighters!!! Hopefully it has a bit of everything, from drop of blood, to break up in the woods, a quick glance of a wolf and some red hoods!!! Squealing again!!!

    A trailer?! Yikes! I didn’t think we’d get that. I was hoping for an actual clip from a scene. Oh well, it’ll be some NM footage!! The only reason I’m going to watch the show is to see this.

    I keep trying to tell myself I am too old to be obsessed with Twilight, but the teenage girl inside me is screaming. Thank God my husband is not insecure. He thinks my twilight obsession is cute. My DVR is also set but I do not see anything in the info for ET tomorrow night about twilight. Was it last minute?

    i hate MTV, so i won’t be watching it lol it’s supposedly also going to premiere on myspace trailer park Sunday too, so i’ll watch it there.

    i don’t really care what’s on it, i just hope it’s not too lame of a teaser. like i hope it’s not like *evil vampire stare* and then *werewolf running across the screen* followed by “New Moon. Thanksgiving 2009″ *fade to black*

    I’m still hoping they push Breaking Dawn up two years, having to wait 3 years for the final movie is ridiculous. they should do Breaking Dawn part 1 summer 2011 and then Breaking Dawn part 2 for Thanksgiving 2011. the book as a whole could easily be split into four seperate stories, so they could do two stories for each movie. perfect. lol

    omg i saw the trailer and it was awsome i told my brouther and hesaid he hated the movie and i beat the crap out of him and i won . yay i excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
